The somali people inhabitans of the entire horn of Africa generally living in somalia (including
somaliland) southeastern ethiopia,Djibouti, and North eastern Kenya are the only known descendant of pharoah of Egypt

The once common believe that the somalis the somalis originated from from somewhere in
Arabia no longer enjoys much academic support ,Scholars now recognise that that the Arab
factor ..... Except for the somali's conversion to islam is marginal to understanding the somali
past,

Increasingly, evidence place the somali within a wide range of people called the Eastern
Cushites which includes somalis, oromos of ethiopia ,the Afar of
Djibouti, the Hausa of Nigeria etc

Historian Know believe that together with other cushitic people the somalis originated from the
EGYPT, in the upper valley of NIle,between 7000BCE. they were the investors of the Egyptian
Pharonic and religious system, and halmark of world civilization, you have probably heard your mom saying that , the practice of mutaling the female genitalia which so common in somalia orinated from the pharaoh, well its true only that she missed one other important thing to tell you,the somalis too originated from upper valley of nile.Great phraohs like ramsis ,( the notorious pharoah during prophet musa reign) and general mohamed farah Aidid ( the notorious general during operation restore hope) What does those two men have in common? , A recent DNA study conducted by a famous Egyptian univesity have found out that the people in horn of africa share certain trait of genetic resemblace with great phraohs of egypt a data with an accuracy of 99.9 %

The cushite civilazation of punt(modern day somalia) was the subject of a famous Egyptian
expedition during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut in the 18th dynasty 1560BCE -1330BCE
Punt was a country characteristic by agriculture and Urbernzation with internation trade link.
Punt specialized in incence and animal skins

Asalama Alaykum Muslims!

SAMI,

Not long ago, a friend of mine in Cairo found ancient somali poems written in Arabic form...but somali language. The poems are in a Library(a public Library...) where it is used as reference. I never thought of Somalis having to do with Egpyt, but Egpytians always had workers from the region where somalia lies. The theory can work...with archeology proof...which I doubt. But, i'm always open to any theory!

Peace, Ahmad!

Sami, I once attend a conference of somali studies. There was a gentleman who made a presentation claiming that the Pharoahs are of Somali origin! One of the theories he used was based on the origin of the word "pharoh" itself..he claimed that pharoah or fircoon (in somali) was a Somali man by the name of Coon living in the northern parts of Somalia, Coon was skilled in the use of stones etc. This gentleman, claimed that their are semblances of early pyrimaids structures found in areas in the north. He went on to say that the children of Coon were asked or migrated to present day Egypt with their masonry skills and were known as the children or the decendants of Coon, hence the word Fir (meaning decsendants)...FirCoon = Pharoah!!!!!.
Far fectched huh who knows?? One thing is true though, the pyrimaids were built by black people.
Suggest you read alternative history books that tell the story of the first black man in the Americas. The black man was here before the native indians according to some anthropologists and archaelogists.

Ahmad, there is nothing wrong to being open to theories, but bro stay away from challenging the sunnah, (re: your other favourite topics). Without the sunnah, men will abuse the interpretations of the Quran, and hence the danger of eventually corrupting the intent of the original revealed message.

Blessed be >*<
Peace!

THANKS , GUYS , U HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL N I DO APPRECIATE IT , I WOULD LIKE TO ASK U WRITE NOW WHY DO SOMALIS LACK THE ABILITY IN INVENTION N CREATIVITY N LEADERSHIP WHILE THE PHAROAH WERE GENIUS PEOPLE IN THEIR ON RIGHT , I DO ADMIT A LOT OF PHYSICAL TRAITS N AGGRESIVE ATTITUDE IN SOMALIS MIGHT BE OF PHAROAH ORIGIN BUT WAT ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE IN LEADERSHIP QUALITIES OF PHAROAH N SOMALI , THOUGH BOTH AGGRRESIVE , THE PHAROAH IS MORE NATIONALISTIC THAN SOMALI

No we are not of pharoanic origin -- if anything Somalis are bantus that blended with other settlers (we are a coastal nation after all).

Salama....

In this brief view as a broad perspective that I would like to whether a Somali man actually is a descendant of a Pharoah. In that simplification notion that we commonly derived from a Pharoah is misleading and an unaccuracy fancy and phantasy theory that was based on the inflamantory of exaggeration of an Egyptian mind--not our dynamic view!

I would rather call--as some distinguished historians, Western or Eastern, alike, had accentuated none really knows where our idiosyncrasy declivity from--we are originally from a Nubian clan than a thick White Pharoahism tribe. As it obviously seems that Nubians are more in depth than as we are to close into Pharoahs. And, of course, Nubians are closer in destination as only a one nation of boundary between us--Nubians, currently, are dwellers and livers of Sudanese; its centrelize location is located at Sudan. And thus of that Sudan is more closer than to us unto we are into Pharoah at Egypt.

Don't get a perplexity and puzzlements of confusion that whether a Nubian himself is a Pharoah--no, indeed, he himself is unknown where he descended from. Since, a Nubian man has a thick dark-chocolate like skin, just like our current colour.

To make longer discourse into shorter, WE ARE NUBIANS than Pharoahs. Or otherwise, we don't claim to belong either district group.

Quite Peace!!

P.S.--Of course, we were finally mixed and hybrided from an African, a Portoguese, an Arab, Swahilian, and et cetera (etc) .

Asalama Alaykum Muslims!

Sami & Waryaa,

It is noteable that today's Egyptians and the Pharaohs are not the same. Today's Egyptians have more of Arab skin(lighter) than Pharoanic. This is due to their mixing with Kedarites(Arabs -- in Arabia)! Because of Ishmael's Mother and wife being Mizraim, the Arabs and the Mizraim mixed together through-out time a little by little. The language exposion, culture, legends, etc etc etc.

This also explains why Kedarites are less lighter than their brethen Israelites of the old.

Yemanites, who always viewed the Africans(including Mizr) as *primitive* -- were more lighter than those of other Arabians...untill recently.

Word has it, that pharaohs always maintained a way of seing the lighter as more primitive(this explains why they chose Israelites...as their slaves)! But, legends recall as Pharaohs not hunting for workers out-side of Egypt. If this is true, the Western's thought that the pyramids are built by african blacks...sorta goes out-of-the window...but, as we know, *word has it* is not good enough!hahahah! Archeologist struggle to give more clues all the time...and it is amazing the mind God had given the man, more and more, man is going extreme to know history.

Xaali,

But, Darling, I see the sunnah as history(NOT preserved) thus, history always seems to be corrupted. Just take a look at our discussion -- everyone has away that was taught to them...and i'm one who NEVER understmates the corruption in man.

Also, sufficient is the history in the Qur`an -- and no matter how hard man tries, none can corrupt the Qur`an. YES, they can corrupt their coppies and their own minds...but not the Qur`an; it lies within the boundaries of Reality and Truth. Who can dare mess that up? :)

Truthfully yours,

Blessed BE! *>.<*,

Ahmad!

An ancient village has been discovered deep within the Buurweyn mountains in Hiiraan region (south-central Somalia), the Somali newspaper Qaran reported on Thursday.

Local resident and geologist Abdi Samad Abdulle Mahmud described how he reached the tiny village through a narrow entrance in the mountainside, which concealed stairs leading down to the former settlement.

The finding, 45 km east of Beledweyne, was the first of its kind in Somalia, the paper said.

Mahmud said he believed Egyptian pharaohs had lived in the village, but had been unable to explore it properly due to technical difficulties. He urged the international communities and Somalia's interim government to send in experts to complete the discovery this one of the proofs thanks
