| | Tuesday, October 31, 2000 - 01:46 pm hey guys i have guestion...anonymouse i hope u don't mind if i ask some questions in here ............guys i just want to know if it is okey to read the BIBLE..........caz they christians read the quran why can't wei always wanted to know what the bible says and how different their and ours are ...u know what i mean....................i don't know if i can read it or not but i realy want to do it...if that is ok with our religion.....some christians affore me BIBLE but i didn't take it i told them i have to check it out with someone older or religased person....i mean someone more experiance then me................or IMAAM......i know the religion too i have finished the holly quran but i don't know nothing about wheither i should read it or not ....so can u guys help ....please..thank u

| | Wednesday, November 01, 2000 - 01:56 pm I don't see what is the harm in reading the bible, it's kind of good to know what others believe I read some verses from the bible and I know all about the christian creed so now I can refute them better when those missionaries come and knock at my door(and believe they do that a lot) so go ahead and do it.

| | Wednesday, November 01, 2000 - 02:41 pm Muslimsis Learning and understanding the Quran(whole or at least some) is obligation. So, when you learn the Quran too much and become shiekh or scholar, you can read others like Bible in order to know how it was made changes from the former one. But without knowing the whole Quran, if you read the Bible, how do you know or find the changes in it(Bible). So, Never read it until you become scholar or shiekh of the Qoran. May Allah guide you in the right path!
