Common Bottom line up front: I don't know. Nor am I privy to what has been discovered so far. And if I were privy to that info, obviously I would not be discussing it on Somalinet. Now if you want my hypothesis: This was a well planned op. Not resource intensive, but did require good working knowledge of docking and refueling procedures and also required good intelligence on the timeline the vessel would be docking. In the Islamic world there are certainly plenty of extremist groups eagerly looking to attack US assets and then do some sort of dick dance to proclaim how the "great satan" has been crushed or whatever. Obviously I'm not impressed. Actions like these are spaced too far apart to effectively alter US policy. And were they stepped up, our responses would be stepped up. You know the rule, for every action there is a reaction. I'm not a fan of our current policies in the Middle East, but I think these suicide bombers are throwing their lives away for nothing (they're suckers), they aren't getting any trim at all, let alone 70 virgins. They're like the Palestinian kids who are being used by the PA and the rest of the dorks in the region. Here's a deal for you, go get your leg shot off. For a week or two we'll call you a hero. A year from now, of course, you won't be able to work and you'll be a beggar in the street. The hero title will be forgotten and you'll just be another beggar. Now you might argue (as some have here) that I'm just as much a sucker - but there's a big difference. I'm taking home six grand a month. Do you think I'd be doing this if I wasn't reasonably well paid??? I don't think so. You want to call me a mercenary go ahead, but you can't say I'm a sucker. Arawelo - No offense intended little sister. And yes, I voted for Bush. Why? Because four years of Richard Holbrook running the State Department is more than I can stomach. Our foreign policy isn't going to improve until we get the dam "do gooders" out of the decision making cycle. Those are the guys who are causing the bulk of our problems in the middle east and elsewhere. Anonymous 2 If you are on the moral high ground, how can a lousy kufaar like myself possibly poison anything? If my arguments are not sound then just ignore them. BTW I Missed you guys.
