I was in another forums with Asad where was defending Islaam to the best of his ability (the folder is under "islam current" it is called "2 questions" you can check for verifications if you want.) I know about Mad_Mac. I've had issues with him. He has never claimed he is muslim. On the other hand Galool claims Islaam although he is misguided, I think there is hope for him. Galool is one of us who is lost and insha Allah he can change. Now as for Asad, can you please direct me to the folders where he claimed he is not muslim and that he is a jew? |

I am a somali girl and i have never heard somali jew, maybe what asad said is the answer, a somali man who got married to a jews lady. Actually, I read an article in the NY Times a few months back that did a profile on some man in Somalia who referred to himself as the Sultan of the Somali Jews. In Somalia they are the tribe known as the Yibir. But they are claiming that they are ancient Hebrews who came to Somalia 1000 years ago as teachers. But he said that they converted to Islam many years ago, and are Muslim Jews. I don't know if any of that makes any sense but the article was talking about how they have been mistreated and ostricized from the Somali political arena for many years.
And about the Somali Indians, my dad used to tell me stories about these ppl who the British brought from India, who intermarried with the Somalis. They learned Somali, and they consider themselves somali, but in actuality they are Indians. I think my dad told me that they mainly lived in Xamar. I'm not really sure about this though.

OH MY GOD!!!!!
i cant believe there are somalis who arent Muslim, especially jews!!!! Man i guess i must of have been living in another world. Anyways, for those somali ppl who arnt Muslim you are welcome to come back home if you keep your misguided way of life to yourselves. However, for ppl like gaal, i swear if i was you, id never set foot in somali, i value my life to much, trust me someone who calls us rightly guided ppl "quran freaks" is gonna get his head chopped off.
