| | Sunday, December 17, 2000 - 03:20 am ANON, No, i did not want to quit all together but wantto go back. i know it sound silly but it is not the way it sounds. i did not meet him at uni ( and not marying him is not his fault) in fact is not anyonce fault just my family did not like the idea. if i go back insha allah i promise i will finish it. Be sure to be true to yourself and your creator and everything else will go smoothly insha Allah. You are in my duas insha Allah. It is the last 10 days of ramadhan and we should all double our efforts in seeking the mercy, forgiveness and reward of Allah. Narrated A'isha(RA): with the start of thelast ten days of Ramadhan, the prophet(SAW) used to tighten his waist-belt (i.e. work hard) and used to offer salat all night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers. [ Saheeh Bukhari, Arabic-English summarized version3:21-O.B] Within these days and particularly one of the odd nights is laylatul qadar (the night of power). On this night, the prophet(saw) told us to say, "allahuma innaka a'fuwn tuhibul a'fwaa fa'fua'nnii" (sorry, can't find the source) which roughly translates to, "oh Allah, to you belongs forgiveness and you love to forgive, please forgive me". salaam to all.

What I meant by "be true to yourself" (and you here was a generic term) is that we need to be honest and fair to ourselves. I think the worst thing one can do is lie to one's self. Don't get me wrong, i'm not implying that you or anyone is. What I mean is that sometimes we know what we are doing is wrong, but we do it anyways, because we follow our desires...i'm guilty of this myslef sometimes. But insha Allah one step at time. We need to crawl before we walk, right? May Allah help us all. Ameen. BTW sis, http://www.islaam.com has a very good collection of lectures on real audio. check them out. Go to main audio ---> leactures----> speakers---> and then choose a speaker. My favourite ones are Bilal Phillips and Yahya Ibrahim. check them out if u have time. There is this one lecture by Bilal phillips, "how to be a better muslim"...it is really good. salaam.
