GhettoGirl | Thursday, February 01, 2001 - 11:49 am For your second question,"AFRICA IS SLAVE COUNTRY AND WILL NEVER RECOVER DONT YOU GUYS THINK I THINK WE SHOULD ALL CONVERT!" Listen here dimwit Africa is not a country it is a Continent! Secondly how on earth could someone convert their ethnic background I've heard alot of dumb things before but I guess yours is just the icing on the cake (xalwo)lol Thirdly, ofcourse Africa will recover. To understand this, one must not only look at the present situation of Africa in contrast with the first world. One has to look at the bigger picture, the whole world maybe, back as two or three thousand years ago or maybe even before the beginning of the cross war, crusade. Africa has been in this situation even after the end of colonization (no assumption, it is a fact). Furthermore, this is the lowest africa (for that matter any nation) can go...thus, I believe it has nowhere to go but in the direction of development, peace, etc... Resource by itself does nothing for any nation, unless, that nation is enjoying a relative length of time for stability, so it can be able without any distractions to use its resources... The other problem was that, most african leaders during the struggle for freedom (to avert colonization)who subsequently led their nation to independence, what they lacked were qualities of that which make a leader, and also to develop their nation (after independece).Reason being they were only 'freedom fighters', however, there was nobody else who could have taken the challenge. Why did we (the people)let the policy of "divide and conquer" happen? At the present socioeconomic standards of most Sub-Sahara Africa European type democracy will never work...first we have to achieve economical self-sufficiency before any other political endeavour's... P.S.Hey, you have to read some history books for example the history of India and Pakistan or the 70's war between somalia and ethiopia....if not I recommend you do because it will give you some feedback as to what really happend and also the definition of what slavery truly means for that matter |
