Muminah

Salaams everyone.

I hope U guys can help me out. I have two things that have been really bothering me 4 a while.

1. is prayer (salah) for some reason i can never keep up with salaada. i start praying 4 a couple of days and then i just loose grip. when i am not praying its always on the back of my mind and i am never happy. But i don't understand why it is so hard for me. i am not practising the deen but i am islamic minded- and i try my best to keep away from other sins. could it be that i am not destined 4 paradise?

Can you guys advice me? and can I ask you all to please make dua for me.. i really want be those who guard their salaah.

2.
my job though i really love it..it involves working with young teenagers, this includes boys and girls a like. it's recreational so we take them out to shows, cinema and do activities that may encourage free mixing. some times the young people have issues that are contrary to islam. am i comprimising my deen in working in this sort of environment? am i being sinfull? would it be better if i worked in a place like say a shop, office etc.

note: none of the young ppl i work with (except 1)are muslims, if that makes any difference.

Thank You for reading this:)

I don't know you problem with prayer have anything to do with the place you work or what you do. Even if you leave your job, you will always have situations or you will be around things that are against islam. If you worked in a shop and you were selling halaal product, the people who buy these things can use it in a haraam way. For example, if you were working in a pharmacy shop and some people buy certain drugs or even regular alcahol to use it some other ways which is not intended for. In Somalia alcaholics used to buy regular alcahol and they used to add something and used boil it so it becomes drinkable beer. What I'm saying is that you can not control people and what they do. You can only control yourself. If your job is the thing that is preventing you from performing the prayers, then change the job or try harder and don't let the love you have for the job come before the love you have for Allah Whom you need more. You are not the only one who is having hard time, but you can do it. Allah knows that you can do it and practice the deen if your are as you say an islamic minded person. The same reason you try your best to keep away from other sins should be the same reason you should practice the prayers which is the first and formost thing Allah will ask you after the iman. If you answer this question of prayers, every other sin that you did will be easy for you, but if you are not practicing the prayers and refused to worship your Lord, this could it be one thing that could make you someone who is not destined 4 paradise.

Salamu aleykum warahmatu lahee

Sister as for first question my advice to you to know the reason first:

you said for some reason?!
what is it?

I mean what makes you leave salat off?
is job? is it friends? is it ....

when you know the reason elimnate it,
if the reason you leave is out of laziness
then you have to worry...

Then Try to remember Allah punishment

Sister do you know leaving salat is major sin...
and to some scholars is kufr,

Sister do you know leaving salat is sin could be worse than Commiting Zena and killing some one?!!

Sister do you know that prophet peace be upon him said in hadith by meaing about Salat Aser who ever leaves it, his action will be destroyed?

This is for one Salat what do you think for the rest?

Sister imagine that you all action gone just leaving salat Aser?

Sister do you know that first thing person will be asked on the day of judgement is his salat?!

if his salat is good his other action is good

I advice to keep fear of Allah,
and to read those hadith talks about the punishment the one who leaves salat
this might make you not leave it off

The other put Salat before everything,
no matter were you are put Salat before everything, pry it...

Another thing fear you sin, becasue every sin you do..you see something wrong might go....

YOu said your not practing the deen? why
not practice it?

You also said:
could it be that i am not destined 4 paradise?

you have the ability, and the choice
don't let shytan come to you,

at least have you try

don't stop it make Topa from now and on,
and say I will not leave salat

Look for good sister and Stay away from bad company

Listen to the tapes that talk about leaving salat and grave punishment etc..

Start to pratice islam as hole, specially salat, fasting etc don't leave.

Since you said yu stay away from sin this is good sign, also you said you feel guilty is good sign...

Start from now and one, don't leave it, do you know if you going to stay alive after today

what are you going to say to Allah?

Don't lose hope from the mercy of Allah, make Dua to Allah he guides you and makes easy for you.

Tell us if you need more advice insha Allah
start from now!!, sister don't leave it
and tell us how you doing

wasalamu aleykum

salamu aleykum

Anomnoyous too,...

you said blah balah.. you either non muslim
you have to worry alot:

read: .....

Allah said in Quran by meaning:74.

Verily, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers, etc.) will be in the torment of Hell to abide therein forever.
75.
(The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein.
76.
We wronged them not, but they were the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.).
77.
And they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily you shall abide forever."
78.
Indeed We have brought the truth (Muhammad SAW with the Qur'ân), to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth.[]
79.
Or have they plotted some plan? Then We too are planning.
80.
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsel? (Yes We do) and Our Messengers (appointed angels in charge of mankind) are by them, to record.

81.
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "If the Most Beneficent (Allâh) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of Allâh's worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allâh Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabarî].

82.
Glorified be the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne! Exalted be He from all that they ascribe (to Him).

83.
So leave them (alone) to speak nonsense and play until they meet the Day of theirs, which they have been promised.

84.
It is He (Allâh) Who is the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) in the heaven and the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) on the earth. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower.

85.
And blessed be He to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and with Whom is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Whom you (all) will be returned.

86.
And those whom they invoke instead of Him have no power of intercession; except those who bear witness to the truth (i.e. believed in the Oneness of Allâh, and obeyed His Orders), and they know (the facts about the Oneness of Allâh)[] .

87.
And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allâh". How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allâh, Who created them)?

88.
(Allâh has knowledge) of (Prophet Muhammad's) saying: "O my Lord! Verily, these are a people who believe not!"

89.
So turn away from them (O Muhammad SAW), and say: Salâm (peace)! But they will come to know.[]
