Asalamu Alaikum
Today in ottawa there was Generation M ( generation muslim) It was held at Fisher Park school , and allhamdulilah It was truly AMAZING.

The young speakers ASAD CHOUDHARY( I Am A Hypocrite ), SOHAIL NIAZI( www.kafir.com) ,
YASIN DWYER ( HOUSE NEGRO FIELD NEGRO ),ALI SHAYAN
(GHETTO ISLAM),& OMAR HUSSAIN ( By All Means Necessary ) you guys did a great job at bringing out the true meaning of all these topics . Just being there today, with all those muslim brothers and sisters, and lisetning to these young very knowledgeable brothers , is something that i will never forget. The stuff I heard today .. it really hit me .. it made me think .. and when Ali Shayan told that sweet story about that grandmother and her grandson in jail .... it even made me cry . I'll never foget this night , and inshallah neither will anyone else that came .

Anyone that wants me to write and tell you exactly what happend ( with some parts slightly differnt) I have almost exact notes of tonights conference. Just ask me and I'll write it .You can just ask me here .

Allhamdulilah I'm so gratefull to allah for guiding me , not making me among the unbelievers and the ones who never realise the beauty of Islam .

Asalamu Alaikum waaraxmatu laahii waabarrakaato

Asalamu Alaikum

Sorry it took me so long to write the story about the grandmother for you FG but i've been kind of busy .
Well here it is anyways .
Ali Shayan was the speaker who told us this .
He said , that him and his frinds Mohamud they went to Bostan ( i think that's the city) and while they were there , they went to this corner store. WEll there was a muslim man who was working at the counter. Then this old lady , she walks into the store . Shhe goes straight to the man at the counter and says ." plz could read this letter and give me what it is I need? "
The man , he didn't know much English so he had no idea what she was talking about. She kept pleading with him and begging him to just read the letter and give her what it is she needed. She kept telling him " plz i need this just give it to me ". She finally she turned around and noticed Ali Shayan and mohamoud standing there. she went up to Mohamud and she asked him to take the letter she had in her hand read it , and plz help her find what it is she needed . Mohamud being the nice helpfull brother he is ... took the letter and read it . It said :
" Dear Grandma .
So far since I have been in jail my life has gotten much better. I really changed Grandma. I learned about this realigion called Islam grandma , and now I am a muslim. Evereything is good Grandma , but i have one probelem. As a muslim I am required to pray to Allah(god) , but I Don't know how. Plz Grandma can you find me a anything that will help me learn how to pray to Allah? Anything .This is all i want Grandma.Plz try and get it for me .
Your loving Grandson ________.

That story made me cry when he told it. It really made me think. PLus Ali Shayan also asked us how many of us in that room knew how to pray , 99% of the ppl put up their hands. Question Is ... how many of Us appreciate it ? There are ppl in this world struggling for Islam .. and those that have it right in front of them , some of them don't even notice what it is that their really sacraficing.
Also , there was another story Ali Shayan told . He Told Us about a Muslim Brother who converted to Islam 10 years ago , but has been in jail for 13 years. His only wish is that he may be able to pray for the first time at a mosque. Subxanallah .. most ppl now-a-days want money, , popularity, cars , materialistc things . All this brother wants is a chance to pray at a mosque.

I have to go now , but i'll wriet the rest of the ebntries on wendsday and write all that i got down from Generation M here for you .

Asalamu Alaikum

Takbeer for Generation M

Assalamu alaykum

Sister in faith MashAllah am gald this event touched you as it did. I too was there and SubhanAllah it was amazing. 700 young muslims come down for the day (11:00am to 7:00pm) to get enlightened about Islam. Wat a Beautiful sight.

This was defentitly a life changeing experience for me. And I think for most of us, it was a WAKE-UP CALL. We don't want to be the dwellers of hell so we true to ISLAM, cuz of Allah's mercy.

Ali's storties made me cry, because we true away from Islam and Allah replaces us with a generation that loves him more us, fears him more than us and will bring back Islam........AND I WONDER HAVE I BEEN REPLACE?

All and all this was a great experince and defentily maked a place in my heart. And i hope we all change our lives for the sake of Allah swt.

May Allah swt bless all the brother's who gave the talks, the organizers and all who came out with a place in paradise...ameen

wa'salam
ur sister

Assalam Alkium wa rahamtullahi wabarakatu

SisterInFaith:
I've also attended this event... and masahallah it was amazing. This wouldn't have been a great sucess with out the help of Allah(swt), the organizers and last but not least the audience the Muslim youth who attended. Mashallah i haven't seen such unity of Muslim Youth in on day (or maybe i have but i cant remember any of this such). And also thankz to the speakers and the entertainers. As for the speechs itself it was amazing....thought provoking....enlightenin'.... mind boggling. It maybe me wonder what i was doing with my youth and is it enough 2 get Allah(swt) shade on the day of judgment as for having spent my youth in pleasing Allah(swt).

Sis i also found that story about the grandmother so beautiful.

This is a lil' recap of what went down that day:

Br.Omer's "By any means nesscesary" was well put i really like how when one would ask him if its okay for them 2 do this and that he would tell them JANNAH(heaven) or JAHANAM(hell).

Br.Ali's "Ghetto Islam" the stories he was sharing with us was amazing. The story where he goes he stoped in the middle of a highway pulled over and started praying when he was done the prayer he looked back and he saw a full row of ppl he didn't even know. And also i think it was him who talked about how Allah has told us with every person who goes astray Allah will replace him with a believer. It makes me wonder if i'm the one who Allah(swt) is replacing.

Br.Yassins Field Negro and House Negro was also great. It talked about how back when slaves were brought from Africa 30% were Muslim. But the Slave Masters knew that their would be a problem with Muslims obeying their Masters as they knew Muslims only bow down 2 Allah(swt) so the plan was 2 get rid of all the muslims that were brought from Africa.

Houses negro's are the ones that are ones who are inside the home with the slavemaster and the ones who dress like that master eat off the same plate as the master MORE OR LESS the ones who want 2 be like the master. Now the Feild negro in the other hand is the one who is left outside is must planet in the hot sun 24/7. The feild negro would run at the chance if the opportunity is their 2 run away from the feilds and his master. It is said that this feild negro wouldn't mind being shoot and killed as he is fleeing the fields as for he would die a free man.

In islam we have a House Muslim and a Feild Muslim. House muslim just like the feild negro wouldn't want 2 change his ways as he likes how he's living. Compared 2 the Feild muslim who just like the feild negro would do anything and everything in his will.

Br.Sohials even though i wasn't their for most of it was called "www.kafir.com" The stats that he was hitting as with was really beneficial.

Br.Asad which i also missed of was called "I'm a hypocrite"

And also how could i forget the entertainment the brothers were amazing it was a great duet a combination of singer slash rapper. The 2 songs i like eventhough i heard bits of were O Canada (lol home of the Fob's) and The blood Shed i think thats what it was called.

Oh yeah i almost forgot Jazkallah kairan for Br.Yusuf who had read the Quran, nasheeds(i think) and Closed the event off with a beautiful Dua that brought tears 2 my eyes.

And also to br.Ahmed who did a fabulous job as the events MC

Inshallah every1 who attended had an amazing time and benefited from this event. As i would also like 2 thank the MuslimYouthOfOttawa for their organizational effort in stregnthin' the tises between the Muslim youth.

P.S: I have the tendency of adding this as i speak lol so inshallah i didn't this time BUT if theirs any1 out their reading and thinks anything i have said was totally wrong as to what really was said please feel free in providing the right information. But inshallah as soon as the tapes come out i'll watch it just to refresh my memory.

If i have offended any1 please forgive me and anything good i have said is from Allah(swt) and anything bad is from Me.
