Asalama Alaykum to All!

As we know, there are many sects in the religion of Islam today. One wonders which one is the right one; well listen to God:

"[21.92] Surely this Islam is your religion, one religion (only), and I am your Lord, therefore serve Me." THE PROPHETS!

So, anything other than Islam is not Islam. A religion is by name...a sect out of that becomes deviant. What is a sect? Anything that goes out of...not comes IN. We have all these Shia, Sunni, Wahabbi, Suffi, Salafi, ETC ETC ETC! God declares there is only ONE Islam. That is Islam was ONLY Islam in the Prophet`s time(pbuh). These deviations began after he was gone. It only devides Muslims. Muslims kill each other in these Asian/Middle-Eastern countries that we have good population at. ONE brother killing another Brother. WHAT, don't they know that taking a life that says "Laa Illaha Ilaa-Lah" is a grave and unforgivable sin? Look how God speaks with them the Muslims:

"[3.102] O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah with the care which is due to Him, and do not die unless you are Muslims.
[3.103] And hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited, and remember the favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts so by His favor you became brethren; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire, then He saved you from it, thus does Allah make clear to you His communications that you may follow the right way.
[3.104] And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful.
[3.105] And be not like those who became divided and disagreed after clear arguments had come to them, and these it is that shall have a grievous chastisement." THE FAMILY OF AMRAN!

Even though that I believe to stop the unjust in our communities, I still don't believe that punishing the guilty is the answer. Our Job, as Muslims, is to Protect the Innocents(our children and those who we love...) NOT to punish the guilty. God is He who is powerful above all things. Let him be the Judge. Be a Muslim...and love your brother. Love him with what you love with yoursel. BECAUSE, as the Prophet said(pbuh) "None of you has faith untill he loves his Brother with what he loves with himself..."

The Muslim person becomes your brother when he comes to believe that "there is no god to be worhsipped but Allah, and that Muhammad(pbuh) is a prophet of His!"...this makes the person your brother. ANYTHING he does after this is only a sin. Something that is between himself and God. Your job is to love him...to love him to better himself. NOT to oppress him or punish him for his "guilty". YES, punish the guilty if there is an Islamic State and government(LIKE Saudi Arabia)...but don't just go there and kill your brothers because they declared themselves as different sect than you're.

Thank GOD, before the war in Somali, MOST of Somalis were sunnis. I'm not saying thank God because I think that is better than being shia or being suffi...BUT because that helped our Muslim society to connect. We had same Mosques and same way of praying, etc etc etc. All of these are important in society.

Personally, I don't think of myself as any sect-follower. I think myself as Ahmad, a Muslim, and nothing after that. NO sect. I believe in the Koran and practice all of the Laws that are expected of me as a Muslim. I believe in the Hadiths(THE Sahih ones, the Sure one!)...and practice it, as much as I can. Muslims are the same to me and each and everyone of them are brother to me, in my heart.

May God unite our hearts as Muslims. May He forgive us for our faults and mistakes in life. May He grant us the strength and the will to see the falsehood as falsehood...and the truth as truth. May He guide us through the darkness of this wicked-world. May He bestow good favors upon us as He did upon our forefathers of yore. Amen!

Blessed BE!

Peace, Ahmad!

To: ANSAARI!

Brother, thank you for your kind words. And I pray that God forgives us all! I had a question...why do you have "Ansaari" as a name? Are you Christian??? If so, then that is understandable. But, if you're not...why? Ansaari is an Arabic word for "Christian"...and in Islam the word Christian itself is plaspheme as it contributes the person's identity to the Messiah. Where "Muslim" just means a Submitter, a Believer...and Not "Muhammadan". Just wanna understand! Forgive me...if my asking offends you!

As-Salamu Aleikum

To Ahmed

My brother of Islam

You've asked me two questions concerning my faith and my name. Well, let me start with my faith; first of all I am not a Christian (Wal ciyaada billaah). I'm a Muslim 100%, a devoted Sunni Somali brother. I think if you would have read all massages about Islam I posted her in the this forums you should not say like that. I'd recommend you to read them.

About my name "ANSAARI" it may be strange to you but it is not the way you described it. Ansaari is an arabic which means "supporter or a helper (U hiiliye)". And this name has absolutely not relation with Christianity. This is an Islamic name, a common name of some of the noble Sahaba (ra) (-reer ansaar- which means those who helped supported and welcomed the Prophet Muhammad (saw) in Madina City of Arabia when his people drove him away from Mecca.

From the beginning and the raise of Islam most of Sahaba were those from Al-Muhajireen (kuwii guryahoodii laga soo saarey oo diintooda lasoo cararay) and Al-Ansaariyeen (Kuwii Nabiga scw soo dhaweeyay u hiiliyey, Diinta Allena samcan wa dhaacan ku qaatay, guryahoodiina walaalahooda uga baxay)

If you read some Ahadith or even the history of the Noble Sahaba you may see names like Ibnu Abdullaah bin fulan from reer Ansaar narrated from Rasulul-Laah this:…..

This name Ansaari may be close to this name NASARA which means Christians (gaalada) but the definitions of these two words are different and no comparison.

In this Forum I choose this name "Ansaari" because of that I admire to all the noble Sahaba (ra) and specially those Ansariyeen. In the other hand I want to help as ansariyeen and be active by spreading This Deen as much as I can .

TO: Ansaari!

Asalama Alaykum Brother!

Let me say that i'm most certainly grateful that you're a Muslim, for I love him who is Muslim as my brother in Faith. There isn't anything better I would hope for any man.

As for the name "Ansaari". For starters, lets talk about those who welcomed the Prophet in Yathrib. They were not Muslims, nor Pagans...but christians. They welcomed Muhammad(pbuh) and his followers...because they embraced the same God and that Islam`s mentioning of good in Isa and his Mother Maryama...attracted the Christians.

Brother, "NASARAH" in Arabic is Christianity. `Nasareth` is where their religion was born, etc etc etc.

The word in Arabic for "Helper" is Naasir(Abdul-Naasir, `eh?hahaha!). "Uhiiliye" and "helper" are not the same...Uhiiliye/udagaalame are "defender" and/or "Protector"...where "helper/supporter" is caawiye.

Brother, don't forget, ALL of the followers of Nasarah joined Islam(some then...and some later).

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something. You know the mind of humans is so due to errors...and that is fine, because that is how we learn. I will read more on the subject. Thank you...and may God bless you!

Blessed BE!
