Chechens Support Palestinian Uprising
CHECHNYA - The Shura Council of Chechnya issued a statement of support to the al-Aqsa uprising by the Palestinians against the unjust occupation of their land.

The statement said that supporting the Palestinian cause was of great importance for the Chechen state, and that ever since Chechnya declared statehood, they have insisted on supporting the Palestinian fight against Zionism.

It said that the former Union of Soviet Socialists Republic, although claiming a secular non-religious approach, was one of the first countries that supported the state of Israel.

And after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Chechens are currently suffering due to the influence of the Jewish lobby on the decision making process in Russia.

Adding that this influence helped the Jewish community gain strength in privatization measures during the past decade, where much of the major economic and media enterprises within Russia are controlled the Jewish lobby, and/or are allies of the Jewish state.

The statement also included the names of Muslim Caucasians and Muslim Asians in solidarity with their brothers in Palestine and other areas of the Muslim world who fought under the cause Islam - which does not discriminate between Muslims of different ethnicities or race - and their contributions to the Islamic empire throughout the centuries.

The statement listed Prince Mohamad Ben Ayoub Yaggesian, King Kutuz and others, as examples of this solidarity.

Shamel Bassev, former Prime Minister in Chechnya, and currently heading the western military front in the Chechen army, stated in 1999 that the Palestinian issue represents the longest running property deal in history, since the Jews initially desired to purchase Palestinian land through payments to previous willing authorities within the region.
