I would let other religions be practiced in Somalia under very strict conditions. The kufars could have their churches and practice their religions but they will not be funded by the government, they will not be allowed to ring their church bells(only the sound of the adaan will awake the people), they will not be allowed to sell alcohol or consume it in public places. They will not be allowed to promote their religion through media or other means. They will not have a say in the political aspect of the country.
Basically, they will have to conform to the rules of the Muslim society and they will have no political power. While we give them peace and allow them to practice their religion we can not trust them, as Allah (swt) tells us they (Jews and Christens) will not be satisfied until we've turned away from the our deen. |

first, is this president going to rule in an islamic law or non-islamic law? if he is ruling a non-islamic law, then he can do whatever he wants that the most people favor. if he is going to rule an islamic law, then there are restrictions which alysia touched. in america, which is ruled non-islamic law does not allow muslims to practice some of their islamic rights--like if a muslim man wants to have more than one wife. if america can do whatever they want that most people favor, then other countries can do whatever they want that most of their people favor too, right? |

The only religion recognized for somalia and somalis who live in it is islam. If foreingers who come to the country, for purposes of their own, want to practice their religion, it is their right to worship their gods. If the somali state rules in islam fully, they will be oblidged to punish the somali apostates who left islam to disbelief by following the islamic law.
Volume 9, Book 84, Number 56:
Narrated Ibn Mas'ud:
A man said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we be punished for what we did in the Prelslamic Period of ignorance?" The Prophet said, "Whoever does good in Islam will not be punished for what he did in the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance and whoever does evil in Islam will be punished for his former and later (bad deeds)."
Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:
Narrated 'Ikrima:
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to 'Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Apostle forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

The rights we have under Kaffir laws are under strict condtions, not only that, but under devious conditions. Anoynmous person, please don't assume that freedom to equals freedom from, one can be more powerful than the other. Tell me how many of our brothers and sisters pray while in high school?, is this a coincidence?. The media is at work, the governement is at work, assmilation is the key!, they don't want muslims, they want people formaly known as muslims. A person once asked me "if i was orginally a muslim"..i swear they think it is something that you must and eventually will evolve from. That is the basis of their "tolerance"..on the condtion that you come round to their way of thinking, otherwise the "terrorist" discourse will go into overload. |

I do agree whit you Kafirs don,r like US, but com,on we have a lot of rights here we allow to build our Masjids, open Islamic Schools, Do the Ethen not All but some of the Masjids, not only that we Can and do preach Islam and Converst many ppl, We even have some Muslims in the Parlement were I live. Ofcourse every think that happens it is Allah will, and I am not saying they do all this becouse they Love Islam but I do believe they are more Tolarent than Us.
Islam, is the Religion which Encourages Love and Tolarent, Islam says be fair and frem, so in my Veiws if we all Learn real Islam and Understand and Teach our Children, then there is no need to get Scare what ever others preaching. For sure any one who understand and Test the True Islam don,t want look any other Religion.
So, guys lets learn True Islam and leave the Fear,to the NON-beleivers. |

well, the religion has rules and regulations. would you give fair treatment to a non-muslim who happens to be a gaal when he asks you the hand of one of your daughters? are you scare of what he might preach your daughter or do you want to follow the law of Allah that say you can not give your muslim daughter to a non-muslim man? tolarence is one thing, but breaking the law is another. nothing is fair in this world. kufars have their laws which the muslims are ristricted in some what, but that is their rights. why can't the muslims do the same? ;-) |

earlier this morning on my way to work, i happened to enter this newsstand in order to get today's paper and some beverages (juice). while i was inline waiting the my turn to pay the money, i happened to flip the pages of this magazine called TALK (talkmagazine). it has a nice article (with pictures) about one of the warlords in somalia.-----on page 70 in the foreign affairs section--- by Peter Maass |
