     | Thursday, December 07, 2000 - 04:41 pm Salam, The number of Somalis infected with HIV and those that have the more developed stage of HIV a.k.a. AIDS in the North America has sky rocketed in the past few years. A study recently done in MN has indicated that there are more Somalis today treated for AIDS than 1-3 years ago. Doctors and researchers are baffled over this new phenonmenon which has increased by 49% in less than 3 years. So, what are you doing to protect yourself? Today, in the new world, young Somali men & women are engaging in unprotected sex before marriage frequently. Many Somali men and women are quite trusting and belief that their 'Partners' are uninfected, and that is the BIGGEST mistake anyone can make. Many Somalis believe that AIDS is a curse, put down on earth only for homosexuals and non-Muslims. But that isn't the case at all, this disease has no boundaries or limitations. AIDS does not discriminate. And at the early stages of HIV/AIDS the person appears to be healthy and normal looking. That's another mistake people make when they opt for the bed with a healthy looking HIV infected partner. So, people watch out for that DEADLY & INVISIBLE enemy which lurches in the bushes undetected and strikes when you least expect it. Sex before marriage is not allowed in Islam and shouldn't be done morally speaking. And the only way to secure that AIDS doesn't happen to you is to not have sex at all period. NO sex NO Aids. Wait 'till you're married and both of you test yourselves before you decide to do it. Best Regards.
