what is this thing ya people talking about, is ethopia somalia's number 1 enemy. no they not, we are our own number one enemy. its not like i am deffending ethopians, even though they have not done the things the we did to ourselves. we have killed each other's children, raped each other's women and more discusting stuff, then an enemy could not even think about.
when i checked out this website, i am already seeing poeple talking about tribes and stuff, don't we learn our lesson. don't we have any kind of feelings. aren't we humans. the whole world is talking about us.
this is not the time to be pointing fingers, its not the time to be calling each other names over the internet, we should used it to come closer and try to be brother like we were once was.

I think Ethipia plays a role in somalian affairs. Ethipia does'nt want somalia to have a peace because they suspecting we wont allow them to use the ports. Secondly we are enemies to ourselves too. Killing ourselves cuz we from different tribes had caused a bloodshed god will never forgive us. We put ourselves into a mess and there is no way of getting out of this mess which ethipia is proud of cuz they dont wanna repeat the 1977 war. WE LOOSERS and who are not smart enough to learn from our mistakes

Somalis are number enemies to themselves.Do not start blaming other people when you can not put your house in order.I do not condone any sort of interference from any quarter including Ethiopia, but when you have destroyed your country why come and blame others when all they did was to scavenge the remains of your spoils. So,put your acts together and nobody will dare think of attacking you.

I agree that we are own number one enemies. Ethiopia has behaved admirably during the last ten years of our holocaust by hosting around a million of our citizens who were escaping the brutality they suffered at the hands of fellow Somalis. According to UNHCR, almost 120,000 Somalis still remain in Ethiopian refugee camps.

Having said that, it is equally true that Ethiopia would prefer a peaceful but weak and divided Somalia rather than a strong and united country capable of reviving the kind of Pan-Somali Nationlism which led to the '77 war.

This is underestandable but narrow-minded. We are unlikely to pose any realistic threat to Ethiopia - even if we wanted to, in the near future. Moreover, we learnt our lessons, and most Somalis now understand that we can only help our kinsmen in Ethiopia through peaceful means, as the world is unlikely to allow the dismemberment of Ethiopia through force - even we were milatarily able to do so.

So while I don't think Ethiopia is our enemy, I nevertheless believe it has been unwisely interfering in our internal affairs in order to protect what it perceives to be its own national interests. Even so the DKMG is wrong to use Ethiopia as an escape goat for its troubles. The reality is, that it failed to establish its authority in Mogadishu, let alone the rest of the country, and it is disingenous of them to blame Ethiopia for this glaring failure.

The warlords who hold sway in most of the country were not set-up by Ethiopia, they are there because WE failed to behave like a civilised race capable of using dialogue and compromise in solving our national problems.

Lets' stop blaming others for the pain and suffering we ourselves inflicted on our people and our country .
