my advice is if you are somali sis/bro is to be well aducated caze we need some young generation who would be able to take care to our beloved country u may said well she crazy or she is dreming staff like that,but the reality is out there only us can make the future to look diferent,believe me peace will came along sooner or letter.......................so u guys out there take the advice and get aducation..........

I think what our broth said is true. most ppl who put their point of view are very short sighted and i believe we have always look positive side and try to encourage ourself to be independand to stand our feets. whereever we locate now it isnot like home and that is where is waiting for . There is no doubt that there are various natural resources in Somalia, however, you have to remember that Somalia is lacking the foundations which is a stable government. At the same time, over 70% of our population are nomads who can't read and write. Therefore it takes knowledge to understand what resources we have and the possibilities. Somalia needs education and lots of it since we have been brain dead for the past 20 years. A ten year old child in 1990 has reached 20 now and has been through too much pain...they need a lot of help. So I would suggest, to those who 've studied in the west...please volunteer some of your time to help rebuild Somalia. |

I believe Kamal is right in his idea about expoiting the natural resources of our countries to improve the standard of living and the lives of our peoples.(We can no longer talk of a single Somalia given the current political reality). I am not sure if oil is a CURSE OR A BLESSING for those who have it; look very closely at those who posses it and you will see what I mean. I think that broadly speaking that Kamal has touched on a second important point namely that those Somalis in the Diaspora could help their countries if they get an education -assuming that they will return to participate in rebuilding the counties. I would like to add that this talent will only be optimized if the INSTITUTIONS of the OUR countrie are rebuilt. |
