I am 100% sure that the new Somalia will soon be prosperous, loving, caring, kind one, productive, cleaver and famous in the world. We can do it and it's up to us to make it happen. United we are strong, fragmented we are weak, prone and undignified. Now that we have taken the first steps to a bright future, Brothers & Sisters let us ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR OUR COUNTRY, LET US ASK NOT WHAT OUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR US.

"""""""""" I WELCOME THE NEW GOVERNMENT AND OUR NEWLY ELLECTED PRESIDENT. LONG LIVE TO SOMALIA ************

Dear Brothers

Before we can build a proud nation we need to

make our foundations strong. That is to create a

society which has a clear understanding of its

role in the world and thus every citizen would

need to realise that we can grow and advance

collectively. We should ask and question about

our past history, for me tribalism bought trouble

and this is the same with every Somali. We should

not help our tribes if they a wrong. Notice the

worst wars in Somalia happened between close

relatives. Our future lies in the next two

generations to see the problem as a test in which

we have failed and thus it is for them to resit

this examination. I don't think that we will be

prosperous in five or ten years time but rather

20 or 30 years.

I agree with your humble view, I would just add that we need to critically assess the values we hold. Values are an intrisinc part of the fabric societies are made of. Over the past 30 some years, we have normalized or legitimazed anti social behaviours such as killing, stealing, corruption and nepotism. This is plain wrong.
Haddi la rabo in horumar la gaaro waa in la bartaa in la iska ilaaliyaa xaalaaleeysiga xaaraanta iyo boolidda.
My 2 cents!
