For unification to be feasible if not successful b/w two parties the following factors have to exist: mutual respect, common interest, understanding, and mostly TRUST. As a Somali born and raised in diaspora the Somali unification fails mostly due to the lack of Trust among the parties (Mostly North vs South). What happen in Somalia in the last 2 decades has destroyed the trust Somalis had for each prior to Barre's reign. Therefore instead of talking about unification Somalis should try to address lack of trust amongst them, and only then can unification be possible. Otherwise we are currently wasting a lot of time and resources trying to forge unrealistic unification. Don't get me wrong, it is in the best interest of both Somalis to unite, especially in global world. What do you think.

Africani that is right, we need to address our trust issues but I think the first thing to do is establish a government which we have achieved...we need to get on our feet then and only then can we address these issues of trust.
