There's this word i've been hearing here. "Flight 13" I don't really get what the meaning behind it is. Can someone clarify that? Who made it up 'Somalis' or is it also used by other people?

Thus, the number of Flight-13 was the very first Flight had been used to evacuated the inundated and disenchanted refugees of Ottanga, Mombasa, Kenya. It was the very first Flight that had an entire Soomaali passengers, only within exception of pilots, stewardesses, and crews. Many of the passengers were who have never seen or heard a Western country--and when they came it became hard to adopt and adapt. Thus, it became a Flight-13 synonymous of:

Reer-Adeer
Reer-Marax

waaw!
i have been searching the meaning of this flight: thanks for asking.
can anyone tell me in pure somali/english/any language what this means...most of you have used words that I can not understand.
By the way, I called the airlines, and a flight has another letter before the number. so, if it was american airlines it could have been called AA13, BA113 etc....
I wonder whether you can give me the exact flight number.
some of you mentioned words such as G, reer badiye etc....what do this words mean????
I would appreciate an answer, because i want to go the bottom with this......LOL you hear about this flight everywhere but nobody seem to have an answer. |

Flight 13 is not a flight it’s a gate number at Washington National Airport “GATE 13”
When people use to be lifted from Kenya to JFK Airport in New York. Then those who were headed to Washington DC area use to board a chartered plane from JFK To National Airport, That plane use to land at GATE number 13.
So it’s a GATE number not a flight number. |

No No No; Flight 13 is a little of what alex said, but the main reason it is called that is because flight 13 was the last successful flight to leave Mogadishu with no problems. No gunmen trying to shot them down or anything; you that good stuff. |
