I had a friend of mine *this was a while ago*she was from eriteria she was such a beautiful well brought up girl any decent man would love to have her and treasure her as his beloved wife,we were good friends very close not in a boyfriend girlfriend way but PURE&CLEAN friendship was what brought us together*I actually regret loosing her over childish disputes back in the days*..anywayz that girl would never date anyone whose not from eritria even ethiopians are out of the question let alone a somali,I remember her saying I love my culture and respect it to death and going out with someone whose not from my country is considered an insulate to my upbringing,parents and our community at large........I was astonished to see a girl who values her culture that much.........wow it's been a looooooooooong looooooong time since we've last met. |

Just to say a few words about this topic.
Its funny how you somali men find it very easy to start pin pointing what the somali girls problems are. One question...have you ever stopped and wondered what about the SOMALIAN MEN? Well i did.
And for you to come on net and start bashing the girls. I would suggest you take time and think about the Somalian Men or should i Say BOYS. One thing that i will not do is generalize all somalian Boys in being the same cause i'm not here to Judge any1 I leave the Judging to Allah(swt) on the day of Judgement. But what I will do is tell you what I have seen:
*somalian boys will go out sleep around and then come back when they're ready to get married and they'll be wanting a clean girl who has never slept around. What is that all about what do you call what you have done.
*they'll drop out of school and live the life of gangster. (hint: you'll never be a blood or a crypt, your ass lives in canada somewhere with your hoyo and ayaayo, and if you think your macking 'cause you've been hitting on the 14 year old next door, try again) Which will truly get you you in the GRAVE. What will you say on the day of Judgement? Who are you gonna blame your problems on?
As i said before this is what i have seen and i dont SAY all somalian boys are like this their are the exceptions that i'm talking about both somalian boys and girls.
And what happened to Islam our way of life?
the religion that reminds us in the Quran "we have made you into different nations and tribes that u may Know one another". What happened to choosing someone on how strong or beautiful their deen is regardless of race or ethnic backgrounds. I'm sorry to say but when its time for me to get married inshallah i wont be looking for a "Somalian Man" but, i'll be looking for one that hasn't forgotten their Deen and if that man is a non-somalian then let it be and if it is a Somalian then let that also be.
I guess we lost the ability to appreciate our great diversity thanks To people like you who are all about their Own.
Dont get me mistaken I got nothing wrong against being somalian But when my culture starts telling me to hate upon other cultures and only like yours. Am sorry but i'll be following the teachings of ISLAM which tells us not to hate upon our BROTHERS&SISTERS in Islam.
I guess we have found comfort in the westernized ignorant piont of view
