hey, hi u all doing ladiez. here is my question. usually when i go to somali parties i speak somali to do my (shukansi). i speak both northern and southern accent of somali. u know how the north is little rough, more like English. and southern accent sounds smooth and easy going like french. am just wondering what do u girls like......?????????

It all comes down to the approach actually. Southerners are smoooth talkers and know how to make a girl feel special......with the "Abaayo macaan Nooh" lol and the Northerners .......well although the language seems a bit harsh....they kill me with the "Dee Ina-adeer, walaalo" stuff. Well I'd say both too coz I love all Somalis Like that.
The funniest thing about Somalia is the different regions and accents. I find them very intriguing and would urge everyone to notice the funny side. Coz humour can be found in every accent.

the best accent is speaking English with a Somali accent it works for me all the time.
Ex. using the letter "B" where ever you see "P"
or just throw in a word of English with a word of Somali
Ex. "Inaadeer" or "abaayo" I think I love you

i did my shukaansi in english.....not living in area concentrated with somalis....i and my buddies develop a deformed form of somali...more like crealo....my mom is northerner and i was born in hamar.....so i like both accent but moga somalis are sweet talkers |

Big Daddy just insulted Somali women in french "tu vaux combien, sale somalienne tu me degoutes" means " How much are you worth, dirty Somali woman you disgust me!"
Then he says: "Pour mes djiboutiennes, vous avez que c'est le contraite, car vous le plus belle fille de l'univers" which means "For my Djiboutian ladies, you know it's the opposite for you, you are the most beautiful women in the world."
He's actually dumb enough to believe that only Djiboutians know French, plus he can't even write proper French. What an idiot!
Hey I personally don't have anything against Djiboutians, they are truly our blood brothers and sisters, but loosers like this who are proud of their colonial past just piss me off. |
