How do you feel about girls going out to clubs or concerts. Because i want to go to this concert to see hassan adan samater on eid but too scared of what people would say especially my family. I'm a good girl but i also like to have fun so what should i do. I don't want to disrespect my family but i need to live my life the way i want to live. |

I WOULDNT ADVICE YOU TO GO TO THE CONVETIONAL CLUBS IN YOUR CITY,BUT GOING TO A SOMALI PARTY OR CONCERT IS OK AS LONG AS YOU DONT OVER DO IT AND STAY CLEAN.ONE HAS TO GET SOME KIND OF ENTERTAIMENT ONCE IN A WHILE. |

Ismahan, sister, you could go to the concert, by getting together with some good Somalian sisters, what you can tell your famailly is a little secret that I tell my little sis when she want to go to a Somalian concert, that she call her good girl friend in which your mom, knows that she is good and tell her, to tell your mom, if she incase is cheking where you going that night, that you too are going to study, or to her house.In that case you could go that concert in a win win situation.As far as clubs, I would just say that is not nice place to go, I have been there done it ,please stay away from it, and i tell you this as your my real sis, and I belief your my real sis, cause your Somali.Just advise from a person, that you don't know.Have a fun and good luck ismahan, happy eid. |

USA, Thanks but what other people say helps you to understand your self better, is not like i'm going to go with what everyone says but just the ones that make perfact sense to me.

Ahmed at the end i did stay at home because all my family came to my house to have eid with us.

dam i must say that i do go out and ya know what i have not been out for time as soon as i get my ass out here i am going to from 11 pm to 5/6 am and thats whay i calll a good night out dam.
sis i dan't want sound rude but do what ya think is right at the end of the end day u are the one who is going to face god and answear all ya actions :}

Ismahaan........lol girl.....u remind me of me couple of months ago..........i love Sada Ali....and she came to town back in October.....me and all my girlz decided we were goin'.......i have never been to a somali party back then.......and i didnt know just what to say to my mom.....what was the occasion i was goin' out for....it wasnt a weddin'...it wasnt eid....it wasnt new year........i was ready up untill the last minute when my friends said....come on girl we're ready........i was like....u guys can just take my car i aint goin' no where.....they were all mad at me......but walaahi i was too scared.....like somethin' big was gonna happen that nite.......but nothin' happend.....i stayed home and chilled with my family......and my friends told me all about the party......it wasnt the bomb or anything......
I went to the new year eve's party though....and i had loooooooots of fun.......i saw my cousins there and they were like daaaaaaamn girl we didnt know u party!!!
I dont consider my self bad now........havin' fun once in a while is cool........i always have fun.....but this was the first time for a somali party......and its cool girl.....really nice.....u see all of those cute somali brothaz....pretty somali sistaz.....i just feel like we're all a family.......
i still didnt tell my mom though.....i will after few years.....lol...insha allah

Ismahaan: I party like crazy....u can call me.......party animal......but I only party with my Folks.......no clubbing or frat parties for me....but certainly anytime ...I get the chance to party with my ppl....I grab it.. There is nothing wrong with partying sis.. we need to have fun once in a while.....its part of growing up.. I am sure ur family will understand.. My dad is very conservative especially with his girls....but after a long chitchat with him......he finally understood...our view point...n now we live happily ever after...He is not worried n we r not pissed......so try to open up..n tell them what u want... I am sure they won't aggrevate or torment u. |
