MAA HEE saaxiibow shini buulkeeda ma igu soo kicin rabtaa. Any way I appreciate that.

I am conciuos about,we as Somalis we have never been good at something, may be our literature. Sports, good government, good economy, decent country to live, where you could say this is my country and watch out poeple! are all missing for various reasons. It is not that we are no good, but simply we don't even think about it. We think somalia belongs to others, We come this country where someone built and died for it, and we are acting like it is our own country.

Bro, this is where I want us to go. We need to explore what somali means, and what we stood for,in other word we have to rely on our inner strength, and to do so, Us young somali educated, both interms of religion, and secular, we have to lead. Famous qoute " No single group in history has ever attianed mastery unless it has produced political leaders, its leading representatives capable of organizing the movement, and leading it." Great example of this is to look Africa, and African American position in the world. Do we want that? Hell no. I am confident Somalis will shock everyone and set an example. In future, society should be there for the sake of individauls in it. It must emerge out of the natural needs of individuals and it must grow on their initiative. It is like poeple performing their fuctions through the state and other social institutions, instead of government with foreign agendas imposing its will on people. This is the basic distinction between those who live in honor and what Africa takes for granted.

A critic

I do not like to be cynical but I feel I should commont on Durgal. I think he writes quete well but he insluences his beleave of clanism in his writings. Do not get me wrong what he wrote above is very good and indeed encouregement. But, I read other threads that he wrote under. so, what I think is he explains and makes as a fact something that only would penetrate the didvision and the hateres among the somalis yet he describes how bad the Ethopeans and those called them for help are traitors. Yes, they are but are you batter than them when on the same token you nominated Aided a hero. ( I am refering to both aidedwas a hero ...and somali net tell us who you are... threads)

Critic, Durgal is a nationialist only when he feels threatened. Otherwise, he is like the rest of his brethen ------- a clanist to the core!

critic you are right bro,I wrote both.

However, did you read my comments as one or you just picked out that line. Let me repeat what I siad " In terms nationalism he was hero" I did not say he was hero. In the end though I held him accountable for what he did, and I am saying it now he is a bad man. Look under the same posting my next comment " let is put this nonsense to stop" The second thing I said was to create awareness, No somali clan have ever produced a national figure. There is a difference between a belief and opinion.
We live in an age where you can't take an individual and evaluate him without taking and assessing his whole clan. It is my job to say things, but I am also learning. Trust me I love somalis in general, I was never raised in one clan mentality. Thanks anyway.

Durgal,

My concern was not that only, it was when you said that " I doubt whether Abdul qasem could replace him'' why replacement??/ This also made me to realise that abdil qasem from your point of view is not there for the whole Somalis but his clan???
I myself though, my family are very much against this so-called governement for some good and bad reasons, I personally I am for it and would like to contribute to it. however, day by day I am get depressed and descouregemnt not from my family but from the same clan that desroyed our house, killed my relaitives, and live up to now in our propebrty, yet I ignore that and feel we should put that behind and restart again. I am sad and dissapointed to learn the whole thing Iam learning day after day which are sad but true. '' My family are to some extand right'' may be age matters. I think iam still alot to learn before I put my trust to the my fellow somalis.

Critic and the rest of you, DON'T KNOW SOMEONE DON'T JUDGE HIM.

I can interpret both of those statements, but it won't do any good if you already made up your mind about what kind of person I am. The more I try to interpret what I meant the more I look defending The general. For example, Abdulqaasim may not replace Caydiid, could mean the general's standing among His clan both Good and Bad, from the start of USC to his death. But Someone would say wait a minute he was murderer, and then if I say but he fought with UN and Uncle Sam who thought they found a new country people will see my position as defending Caydiid. So it doest really matter what my opinion is, either I am black or white. Bro Look at this in the context of legacy regardless of being good or bad, like you were historian. Isn't it consistent with the title of that comment " admirer or critic it does not matter he left lagacy" Again I am social scientist and I was taking the posting strictly from professional point of view.

Critic do you know how to rule someone? It is simple, find his weakness and exploit it. Somalia's weakness is dealing with clanism, This is the only lever the West has and prevents Somalia from reaching its potential. I want somalis to see their clans as secondry, the first thing we should look at every situation is what is right and who is right. I think it is going to be very difficult to change the older generation, but I would be dissappointed if someone like you, and in general young somalis follow the footsteps of losers who can't get out the trap of the emeny because they only see what their clans see. I am determined to change somalia one way or another, and I don't really care who the enemy is.

Those of you who say " HE IS NATIONALIST WHEN THREATNED" threatned about what! I am having good time, being in college, thinking the future not the past. If you mean my fucking clan, I'll give you my membership in that clan take it. You have no idea where my conscience level is, so just shut up. Before you accuse someone something look yourself and see if you stand anything. Somalis say NIN IYO HADALKII ISKU EG.

DominoPizza you really took that TeeDu down, any way he was crazy.

Bro look, strive for excellence, and go to college. Somalia needs poeple who stand for what they believe, and you have that. If you are going to college don't choose computers becuase every somali juhaa is majoring it. Be economist,or prominant businessman, they are worth it. Good luck.
