Article after article I read two types of Somalis, a) those that write well and have a good command of the English, b) Those that swear alot and speak in Ebonics. I mean haven't we been through enough, we lose our country, our people find themselves in all corners of the globe, back home, they act like animals. The hopeful ones that find themselves in North America, end up admiring Afro-Americana, Puffy, Ice cube, DR.Dre, Snoop dog, and Jay ze become their idols.
Those stupid somalis In North America that spell "DAT" for "THAT" and "AIGHTT" for "ALRIGHT", "YOW" for "YOU", "HOE" for "WHORE", "BIAAATCH" for "BITCH". You all need to go back to ESL, I think you missed too many classes and hence are having problems with English. Learn the correct English, before your ugly asses arrive here and try to express yourselves. Because in expressing your point, you make as vomit. I am serious, you are like virus with no medication. Hate the way you dress to parties, you want to be "THUGS", by the way in English the equivalent words are "THIEVES", and "ROUGUES". I have seen Both boys and girls of south and north origin speak in this F-U-C-K-E-D up English, by the way the word F-U-C-K, stands for " For unlawful carnal knowledge" it was a code word used by the priest (17th AD. England) when a man or woman confessed to them, they had sex outside their marriage. Those somalis use it like they know what it means.

Sirrus let me explain it to you plain and simple. I doubt any one here has time to write a perfect paragraph. I don't see any one grading the material that is transmitted through the net. Many feel that it is convenient using slang to express themselves. If you are not aware their is many forms of short form hand writing. This one happens to emminate from Hip-Hop, but whatever your reservations about that genre of music you don't have to label every one ignorant that solicits such material. I rather say coz, instead of write out because. It is time saving, and if you can understand my message what is the problem? I wont go into debating about civility and being cultured, because your preception is down right flawed and naive at best.

Sirrus it is not your place to judge others, not your place to say what they should and should not write and definately not your place tell one how to speak. If you are having trouble reading messages in slang or do not feel comfortable doing so, maybe you should not come to the discussion area. If you are having trouble understanding those who speak in ebonics, maybe you should no speak with them. The Somali diaspora have in many aspects adopted the culture and mode of life of whatever country they happened to have settled in, whether it be Italy, Kenya or the US. I believe most somalis are gifted in many arts, politics, war, studying and so on. I don't hate our youth, nor do I hate our black brothers, after all we all share the same enemy "white man", the question remains, should I keep silent when I see our "black" brothers down the drain, and many somali kids going down the same drain. I don't think so. Label me racist, sell out, uncle tom, white trash. You know what all, I am doing is leading our future youth, into the same route I went. Trust me, great manners, education, command of the english language, will get you far in life, not to mention, beyond the $7 dollar jobs, or weed smoking lifestyle, ebonics and Afro american lifestyle gives.
