Where ever you are on the Globe if you feel there is something that you could contribute to assist somalis to better understand and communicate with non-somalis then please state is it below. Input required from all walks of life... from ruffneck, deals, users, parents,educators,criminals, elders and everybody else... please keep it short...

| | Friday, February 02, 2001 - 03:20 am I think that is a good question, i think that the problem with a lot of somali people is that they think too much of themselves even if they are dole dosers (on welfare British term), i think that somali people should come off thier high horse and learn to respect others as we would like to be respected our selves. Even if they don't agree on their way off living e.g gays, hindus, jews etc. I'm not saying they are right but let ALLAH be the judge of the sins at the end of the day we know where their going so why waste your time on them. LIVE AND LET LIVE is what i say.

| | Saturday, February 03, 2001 - 05:50 am More to the point... i have always heard our people complaining that other black people are raising their noses at them..... why have i not seen this happen to me? simple advice -don't generalise all blacks are not the same -yes black people can be very proud -yes black people can be more agrassive then most Ok let me begin, i live in a small town with very few black people so if i have lost touch then please correct me!!! -respect yourself before u ask a black person to respect you. -stand tall and don't act soft or you become a target -know when you are being tested usually begins with the eye contact...if you show weakness then you will get aproached -Looking a black person up and down like you were used to doing in somalia will not be taken lightly -when the test reaches the verbal stage don't even think of backing off stand your ground -If they become agressive there are two methods 1)For warriors If they are angry be calm and use your head.If they are calm respond agressively... it is called the inverse response method... 2)For politicians -talk -talk some more -keep em talking -Eventualy it might just lead to a physical confrontation... i hope you do your ten pressup every morning... *******************************Bottomline is -respect others if you want it in return -be confident -be wise -learn some street lingo :-) +++++++++ Hey i would like to hear from those that have the "gift of the gap"...... street codes required.......??? worldwide??? The latest words on the streets... speakup P.S. does anyone have any trouble with indians, chinese or greek or some other nationals???
