| | Wednesday, February 07, 2001 - 10:07 am Hold down a min here. Let me break lil some some thing for ya'all. I reside in N. America and have for a decade plus. I beleive that the life is N. America, especially in U.s is very hard one, but once a while opportunity passes by you and you have to take advantage of it. I have being blessed personally to be able to go school and at the fingertips of attaining my degree. N.America is 2 things, you either work, full time, get your money on, or you have to be patience, choose to be poor while you going to school and later on hit it big with your degree, especially if you have one in computers or tech. I live in a city where 88% of the pop is black and most of them are holding it down, doing their own thang. To the earlier respondent who was talking about the different races and all that, and said Somalis on Welfare. Brotha, Most of somalis, especially those that I have came across in the states that I have visited are doing their own thang. Some of them are working, some are going to school and some are doing both, and I tip my hat to those. Even if you have a job that pays very little, still it is one where u can b proud of. It is better than siting an apt and waiting for check from the gov. I will leave at that for now, but I just one say one thing before I leave. And that is, this is one man's opinion of N. America especially in the us, and everyone is titled to their own opinion. I certainlly disagree with some of earlier ones, but at the same respect it, cause one have though of it. By da way, I am 21 yr student from Atlanta, Ga. Word.

Remember, you live your life however you choose to be it, and if you say that u can't do it, and give up then that is when u are done. "No." A previous walk to work had ended in my macing a russian immigrant who had developed quite an attachment to my purse. In fact, ever since moving to the city I have grown quite liberal in applying mace. "Oh there's my ride." I jump into the bus and moments later find my self squeezed between what appears to be two of america's fattest men. I slowly make my way to the back and incredibly am able to find an empty seat. Taking a sigh of relief I begin sipping on my cold coffee and begin planning my day. I have so much work to ... oh my goodness, only thing that size I'd see in africa were hippos. I gently shake my head and remind my self there was work to be done. "Wuzzup nigga, howz ma brotha? Yall comin to ma party tonight aiyaat?"
