I did try riding a horse out in Naivasha but fell off. From then on, I decided horses were not for me. I always try something at least once. I went skiing the other day. After about 10 falls, I got a hang of it and realized that skiing was fun. I tend not to be judgemental about people. I am more concerned about my own problems. None of us are perfect and we should deal with our own immperfections rather than talk about others. I know that there are not that many Somalis out in NY. I know the major concentrations out on the East Coast are Boston to the north and DC to the South. NY is a huge but wonderful city. I do visit it at least five or six times each year mainly to visit my friends. Well, I got to run now before the boss comes in barking out orders. | | Tuesday, February 13, 2001 - 10:40 am Dear Empty Soul Sister, This is Mohamed from the earlier posting. I was in a kind of a rush when I wrote that so I would like to add some more details. Thanks for the invitation to visit if I am in NYC. I understand where you are coming from. I myself used to live in Kenya and graduated from high school over there. I have noticed that their are few Somali women that I seem to be compatible with. I guess it must be the different views that we hold. Being a what people refer to as Sijui, I seem to get along with other Sijuis. Don't know why but it just happens. I also noticed that foreign raised Somalis seem to understand each other more than our brothers and sisters from the motherland. I mean look at how many Somalis have hobbies. Very few do. Unless you consider hanging outside Dunkin Donuts and talking about whats happening 2,500 miles east of here. Their view on the world is small. I find it hard to hang with them because my views clash with theirs. Oops off I must go again. Take care for now and hopefully, the right man will come along. I myself am waiting but I really am skeptical of meeting my Somali Queen. I might just have to settle for Queen who might not be Somali but at least Muslim. But they say Love is Blind. Mohamed.

You need someone who is committed to the relationship, someone who is a responsible person, and more inclined to the appreciation of the intellectual abstract of life. I agree with you in general when you say we arent all perfect. Yet, don't we all strive everday for perfection, trying to please those whom we love and those who love us too?. More than that, we all want an ideal life suited to our unique dreams, but at the end of the day, everythng comes down to one thing: Is it attainable?
