To wondering:
A) It is an ancient rite, adopted from the ancient Pharoes. Since the males, used go on wars with Syria, they left for long period of time, they found their females copulating with slaves from previous wars. Hence they came up with this system to control their women.
B)Absolutly against it.
C)Is Un-Islamic. No where in Islam does it state or condone such an act. Read (A).
D)In conjuction with virginity, it stops young girls from indulging in sex prior to marriage. If it had no positive side, our society would have droped it long time ago.
E) permanent damage, physical and psychological. Hemorreging, infections, difficulty in child bearing.... the list goes on.

I)Education, I mean once the vail of ignorance is removed people can see it themselves the damage. Explaining to people the origin (A), Un-Islamic (C) and Negative outcomes (E).

I have not had it done but my mum is constantly on my back saying that I will bring shame to the family. I am so happy that it hasn't been done to me cos I know the pain it causes and I give praise to my father for standing up to my mother in what must be a really sensitive topic.
