Every where you go either europe or USA somalis have been easly brain washed and easly incorperated into the so called western civilation.
They are drinking, doing one night stands and taking weed.
i wonder if these act of sins will ever be held responsible for those blood suckers in somalia, who chased us from home in the first place.
personally i sometimes wonder if these inocent people who some of them traped alone in no mans land, where there ain't many somalis, specially in the states. but this is not to say that they are not responsible for thier actions.
it makes you think why cann't somalis ever be like the asian muslims who live in the western world, who still managed to maintain thier culture and religouis values.
and the other thing is that somalis tend to think that they are africa american, yes there is nothing wrong with that eccept that we are muslims and we shouldn't mix with these ppl who are christians, and besides they still attend churchs every sundays, so why cann't somalis do the same and attend mosques???.

i feel for you people ! no matter how hard i try to ignore it, i still feel you are my people and every day that i come across the harsh pathetic and sad situation that you in, i feel depressed and somehow guilty of your demise. i can't ignore the fact that you are still my people and that is wht i am obliged to help you out. now am doin some peer counselling and all the kids in my cousel are all of daarood and it really saddens me and at the sametime am wondering where are the hawiye, eelaay and xamari. i see once a while some isaaq kids who are in the same sitaution but oh my god the daarood family is so dysfunctional and their kids are totally lost and heartbroken.

To the person who asked this Q. I really don't think that we should be sitting here and wondering if Allah(swt) is gonna punish those ppl who are responsible. I think we should leave it to the hands of Allah(swt) cause trully its not in our power to tell Allah(swt) who did what.

it's eating me up and i can't help seeing my darood people going astray and losing. I care all somalis though. the hawiye and mooryaan atleast don't lose their culture and religion even in the diaspora. i wonder why is that? do they have stronger families than us definitely yes. |

To the person who asked the question
Just like what Musilmsista said, how can you ask us what Allah may do or not, we don’t have the knowledge of Allah’s actions or the power to even speak about his actions.
Secondly, I don’t like the way you generalise a whole nation due to your past experiences with certain Somalis. Not all Somalis who live in the western world drink, smoke weed, have sex, and do everything the same as westerners. I don’t believe that the people, who chased us away from our home, should be held responsible to our actions. As humans we choose what we want to do in life, we might get persuaded from outside influences but at the end of the day it is your life, you make the call, weather it is wrong or right. So if you choose to have sex, smoke weed, etc that is your decision. I do live in the western world and I have not drank alcohol, smoked weed or had sex, this is due to my personal choice and nobody else can be held responsible for my actions.
I may agree with you that Muslim Asians do keep their traditions, but they are not that strong on religion. Most of Asian women have never been to a mosque, this has nothing to do with their religion, but it is all about their culture, as they believe that a women place should be at the home.
Not every Somali person live in America, so how do all Somalis act like African Americans? |
