     | Saturday, March 24, 2001 - 11:03 am The movie is called 'The Brothers'-appropriately tittled to fit the Grand picture of the film.The Brothers is a Comedy vs Romance vs Drama trilogy that invokes the inner parts of our handkerchief (for the ladies).Yes you will cry-ladies.The Synopsis?Four Africanamerican Boy-Friends talk about women and Love.The men are professionals,smart,Good Looking and looking - i mean for women.Wonderfully written by Director/writer/actor Gary Hardwick who is Genius in a suberb process manufacturing a spectacular dialogue that transcends the actors to do acting. The movie begins with Morris Chestnut's character jackson,a handsome physician confessing to his therapist about his women relationship problems.Which he later blames his divorced father and consoles his witty mother who i must tell stole the scenes with a considerable force played rightfully by Jennifer Lewis.The other three men varry from a chauvinistic lawyer who dispises monogomy,a frustrated husband who looks for perveted sexual fantasies,a Hot shemar moore's reality to deal with getting engaged is all nothing but a cute Black humor that makes us have Hope for our Somalian brothers.Bottom line- i think the movie was an Improvement to the name of Africanhood or Blackhood- A smart,intelligent piece that shows the blacks have other interests than Rap and Gang-shootings endeavors! FOR ME THE MOVIE OF THE WEEK WAS YOU CAN COUNT ON ME..IT WAS GREAT CINEMATOGRAPHY AND HAD A LOT OF THINGS I CAN RELATE TO. IT WAS UNIVERSAL MOVIE ABOUT FAMILY AND HUMANITY.
