Mohammed was born in Mecca, the son of Abdullah, a poor merchant of the powerful tribe of Quaraysh, hereditary guardians of the thrine in Mecca. Orphaned at six, he was brought up by his grandfather and uncle, Abu Talib, who trained him to be a merchant. At the age of 25 he led the caravans of a rich widow, Khadija (d.619), of the Asad clan (ups! not president Asad of Syria), who was so impressed by him that she offered him marriage and finacial security. She is believed to have been 40 when they met, but she bore him six children. These included their doughters Umm Kulthum, who married Uthman, the third caliph; and Fatima, who married Mohammed`s second cousin, Ali, the fourth Caliph, and founded the Fatimid dynasty. Mohammed`s marriage liberated him from the unfortunate finacial circumstances of his childhood and made him finacially independent. It also caused him to reflect deeply about the inequalities in Mecca society, which he saw to be changing into a trade driven society with no place in it for the unfortunate.
While continuing as a merchant, Mohammed became increasingly concerned about the polytheism and superstion of the Meccans and other Arabs, some of whom worshipped idols. Also at that time, in S Arabia, the Jewish religion and chritianity flourished in some communities. Becoming interested in the Bible and the books of the Jews, he grew familiar with the teaching of Jesus Christ and his prophets, furthering his growing conviction that there was only one true God.
He was increasingly drawn to religious contemplation, and in C.610, when he was 40, the angel Gabriel appeared to him on Mt Hira, near Mecca, and told him he was the messenger of God. About four years later (C.613), he was told to come forward publicly as a preacher. His teaching was collected and written down (C.650) as the Koran (recitation) revealed to him by God.
When His wife and uncle died (both in C.616), Mohammed was reduced to poverty, having lost the protection of his family`s clan, but began to attract converts amongst pilgrims to Mecca from the town of Yathrib, an agricultural community to the North. By 622, the position of Mohammed and his small band of devoted followers in Mecca had become untenable. There was much persecution of those propounding the new religion, which came to be called Islam ("surrender" - to the will of God). Its followers were called Muslims or Moslems ("those who have surrendered"). They were saved by the invetation from the people of Yathrib, who hopped Mohammed would arbitrate in the feuds that racked their community. Mohammed travelled there, and this emigration, known as the Hegira, marks the beginning of the muslim era: 622 is the year from which the muslim calender begins. The name of the town was changed from Yathrib to Medina, "The city of the Prophet".
In the first year of the Hegira, Mohammed was promoted to go to war with the enemies of Islam - in particular the Meccans - in the name of God, to protect and spread the faith. In 623 his muslims attacked Meccan forces, but he was severely wounded in the battle of Uhud (625). This reversal failed to dent his faith, and in 627 he repelled a Meccan siege of Medina. By 629 he was able to take control of Mecca, which recognized him as chief and prophet. By 630 he had control over all Arabia.
In 632 he undertook his last pilgrimage to Mecca. He fell ill soon after his return that same year, and died in june at the home of his favourite of nine wives, Aïahah, the daughter of one of his first followers, Abu Bakr. His tomb in the mosque at Medina is venerated throughout Islam, as is the sacred city of Mecca. Courageous and resolute, during his lifetime Mohammed founded a state and a worldwide religion that today numbers over 700 million Muslims and provides the basis for Arab unity.

I plan to establish a Cathoric missionary in Somalia as soon as possible. Now I am quiet aware of the fact that majority of Somalians are Muslims and as such I have taken some time to study their religion and most importantly the founder of the same ie Mohammed.
Is my work about Mohammed accurate to the best of your knowledge? I would be happy to have some feed back from you.

By the way the Islamic Revolution is being shown real dust in Iran. Out of the 290 members of the
Parliament, the islamic fanatics won a miserable 44 seats. Even the mighty Rafsanjani is hanging by the bare skin of his teeth. The tables are turning on the Islamicists!
The young Iranians have just had enough of it. They are now rubbing the crooked noses of the
clerics in the sand. I intend to do the same to Somalian clerics sooner that you think.

I think you've a lot to learn about Islam. You don't even know why Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h)was allowed to marry 9 wives instead of the prescribed 4 wives. This shows your lack of knowledge about Islam. Another thing, don't waste your time trying to convert us into a trinitarian and basically a polytheistic religion as Christianity.

Some one asserts that the Qu'ran is unchanged and preserved. Let's look at this further shall we?
We shall start this discussion by "putting the shoe on the other foot" as we say in English. I shall
pretend to claim that since the Qur'an doesn't say what I think a Qur'an ought to say; it must be
that you - my Muslim readers - or your ancestors, changed the Qur'an. You purposely altered the
Qur'an to make it say what pleases you.
What would you say? How would you try to answer this accusation?
First you would say that the Qur'an was given by God. Then when I asked how you know this
you would have to start telling me how it came historically?
FIRST STAGES OF THE QUR'AN
According to those with whom I have discussed this question, the first verses of the Qur'an came
to Muhammad thirteen or fourteen years before the Hejira, or sometime in the year 609 AD.
During the next 13 years until the Hejira, almost exactly two thirds of the Qur'an was given. It was
written down on the shoulder-blades of cattle, on leather, on white stones, on anything at hand,
and it was memorized.
When I have asked how many believers fled with Muhammad from Mecca to Medina at the time
of the Hejira, some have answered 75, others l50. The Qur'an does not give any definite number,
but in the Sura of the Spoils of War (Al-Anfal) 8:26 from 2 AH, it describes these believers using
the following words,
"Call to mind when you were a small (band), despised through the land and afraid that men might
despoil and kidnap you."
J. M. Rodwell in his English translation of the Qur'an agrees saying, "The numbers who emigrated
with Muhammad at first, were about 150 persons." In addition, of course, there were already
some believers at Medina who had invited Muhammad to join them, and probably others -
especially slaves - who couldn't leave Mecca with Muhammad. However, for our discussion let us
use this figure of l50 strong believers who were willing to leave their homes because of their faith.
With this information in our minds we must now ask the following question. How do you know
that the Qur'an was accurately transmitted when there were only l50 strong believers? Maybe
some pieces of leather parchment were lost? Maybe a shoulder blade with two Suras written on it
fell off a camel? Do not think that I am laughing or making a joke? This is serious. HOW DO
YOU KNOW THAT THERE WEREN'T ANY CHANGES?
You will no doubt say to me, "But they memorized the Qur'an; and some of those 150 believers
were present when Muhammad first repeated the Suras; and anyway Muhammad was still with
them to correct them."
I do not say "No" to this, but I want you to realize something. You can't prove this. You don't
have even one original Sura written on a shoulder blade. You BELIEVE it. This is A BASIC
ASSUMPTION.
FROM THE HEJIRA TO MUHAMMAD'S DEATH
In the second or third year of the Hejira when the Muslims were victorious at the Battle of Badr,
there were about 300 soldiers who defeated a much larger force from Mecca. Yusuf Ali in his
translation of the Qur'an says, "The Muslim force consisted of only about 313 men, mostly
unarmed...The Meccan army, well-armed and well-equipped, numbered over a thousand." If we
assume that each of these fighters had a wife and a couple of children at home, it would seem
logical to suppose that there were l500 Muslims at that time. It may have been more, but that is
not important for our discussion.
In the year 6 A.H. Muhammad started toward Mecca to perform the pilgrimage. He was met by
the Quraish at Hudaibiya and a truce was made. On that trip there were 1400 men with him, and
so again we might suppose that altogether there were 6000 to 8000 Muslims.
After taking Mecca in 8 A.H., and continuing to increase in numbers over the next two years,
there were tens of thousands of believers when Muhammad died in 10 A.H. Hamidullah says that
at the last pilgrimage, Muhammad spoke to 140,000 Muslims.
In those first ten years of the Hejira the last third of the Qur'an was given. So now again we must
ask our question. How do you know that it was kept accurate in those ten years? Maybe they
never got to Mecca? Maybe there was no Battle of Badr? Maybe some of it got lost? HOW DO
YOU KNOW THAT IT WASN'T CHANGED?
Again you will answer, "But they memorized the Qur'an and Muhammad was still alive. And even
after he died many of those who fought at Badr - maybe as many as 200 or 250 - were still alive.
They were witnesses of that battle and of the words of Muhammad." And again I won't say "No",
but I will point out the same truth to you.
You don't have a copy of the Qur'an from the year 10 A.H. YOU BELIEVE that the Qur'an
which is now in your hand is the same as the Suras which the Muslims were memorizing in those
first years. YOU BELIEVE the Hadiths which tell about the origin of the Qur'an, and the Battle of
Badr, and the treaty of Hudaibiya.
THE FIRST COLLECTION OF THE QUR'AN
We must now consider the manner in which the scattered Suras and verses of the Qur'an were
brought together into one book. Al Bukhari informs us that about a year after Muhammad's death,
the Qur'an was first put together into one collection by Zaid ibn Thabit at the command of the
Khalifa Abu Bakr. Zaid's own account, quoted by Al Bukhari is this:
At the time of the slaughter of the people of Al Yamamah, Abu Bakr sent for me, and lo! Omar
ibn al Khattab was with him. Abu Bakr said: "Verily Omar has come to me and has said, `Truly
the slaughter on the day of Al Yamamah was severe among the Reciters of the Qur'an and indeed
I fear that there has been severe slaughter in the battlefields among the Reciters, therefore much of
the Book is going away (being lost), and I consider that you should give orders for the collecting
of the Qur'an.'
(Abu Bakr continued) "I said to Omar, `How will you do a thing which the Apostle of God did
not do?'
"Then Omar said, `By God this is good', and Omar did not stop from repeatedly urging me, until
God expanded my breast to the idea and I have formed the same opinion as Omar has."
(Then) Abu Bakr said (to me), "Verily you are an intelligent young man. We do not distrust you,
and you used to write out the revelation for the Apostle of God. Therefore search out the [various
chapters and verses of] the Qur'an and gather it together."
And by God, if he had enjoined upon me the removal of one of the mountains, it would not have
been heavier upon me than what he commanded me regarding the collecting of the Qur'an. I said,
"How will you do a thing which the Apostle of God did not do?"
He said, "By God, it is good." Accordingly Abu Bakr did not desist from repeatedly urging me,
until God expanded my breast to that which Abu Bakr's breast and that of Omar had explained to
him.
Accordingly I sought out the Qur'an. I gathered it together from leafless palm branches, and thin
white stones, and men's breasts, until I found the end of Surat Al-Tauba (9:128-129) with Abu
Khuzaimah the Ansari. I didn't find it with anyone except him, "There came unto you an Apostle
from among yourselves" to the conclusion of Bara'ah. And the sheets were with Abu Bakr until
God caused him to die, then with Omar during his life, then with Hafsa, Omar's daughter.
Hamidullah, in the introduction to his translation of the Qur'an gives other interesting information
from the Hadiths about this collecting process, including a statement by Zaid that if the end of
Surat Al-Tauba would have been three verses instead of two, he would have made it a separate
Sura. Hamidullah also says that the sources are unanimous in saying that Abu Bakr ordered Zaid,
to not rely only on memory, but to find for each verse at least two written copies with two
different people.
As far as is known, this was the only copy of the Qur'an which might be termed an official copy,
until Othman became khalifa. There were men such as Ubai b. Ka`b in Medina and Ibn Mas`ud in
Kufa in Iraq who had made their own fairly complete copies, but most men and women were
depending on what was memorized. We may say then that for 40 years, from 13 years before the
Hejira when the first revelation was given until about 27 AH when Othman made his official
recension, the transmission of the Qur'an was almost completely oral.
So now the question must again be asked: How do you know that the Qur'an was kept
unchanged during those years when the transmission was almost entirely oral? Maybe someone
forgot something? Maybe a few verses were eaten by an animal? HOW DO YOU KNOW
THAT IT WASN'T CHANGED?
There are Hadiths which speak of these problems. On the authority of Omar himself, Muslim, the
great collector of Hadith, quotes him as saying,
"Verily God sent Muhammad with the truth, and He sent down upon him the Book. Accordingly
the Verse of Stoning was part of what God Most High sent down. The Apostle of God stoned,
and we stoned after him, and in the Book of God stoning is the Adulterer's due". Mishkat, Kitab
al Hudud, p. 301.
Elsewhere Ibn Majah informs us that Aisha said:
"The verse of stoning and of sucking came down...and its sheet was under my bed: when therefore the Apostle of God
died, and we were occupied about his death, a tame animal came in and ate it."
And Hamidullah quotes Omar as saying,
"If I hadn't feared the accusation of adding just anything to the Qur'an, I would have written the
verse on the stoning of the adulterers."
Again you will answer me and say, "I don't know about the validity of these Hadiths, especially the
one about Aisha; but even if they are true, no important change could possibly be made as late as
27 years after the Hejira. If one Muslim forgot something the others would remember it. Besides
many of the Ansar and Companions were still alive to correct any errors."
And again I will say, that's just a speculation and conjecture, you have no proof in your hands!!!

Proof of The Preservation of the Quran
There are hundreds of religions flourishing around the world: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Bahaism, Babism, Zoroastrianism, Mormonism, Jehovas Witnesses, Jainism, Confucianism etc. And each of these religions claim that their scripture is preserved from the day it was revealed (written) until our time. A religious belief is as authentic as the authenticity of the scripture it follows. And for any scripture to be labeled as authentically preserved it should follow some concrete and rational criteria.
Imagine this scenario: A professor gives a three hour lecture to his students. Imagine still that none of the students memorized this speech of the professor or wrote it down. Now forty years after that speech, if these same students decided to replicate professor's complete speech word for word, would they be able to do it? Obviously not. Because the only two modes of preservation historically is through writing and memory. Therefore, for any claimants to proclaim that their scripture is preserved in purity, they have to provide concrete evidence that the Scripture was written in its entirety AND memorized in its entirety from the time it was revealed to our time, in a continuous and unbroken chain. If the memorization part doesn't exist parallel to the written part to act as a check and balance for it, then there is a genuine possibility that the written scripture may loose its purity through unintentional and intentional interpolations due to scribal errors, corruption by the enemies, pages getting decomposed etc, and these errors would be concurrently incorporated into subsequent texts, ultimately loosing its purity through ages.
Now, of all the religions mentioned above, does any one of them possess their scriptures in its entirety BOTH in writing AND in memory from the day of its revelation until our time. None of them fit this required criteria, except one: This unique scripture is the Qur'an - revelation bestowed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) 1,418 years ago, as a guidance for all of humankind.
Transmission of the Qur'an: Oral & Written
Lets analyze the claim of the preservation of the Quran…
1. Memorization
'In the ancient times, when writing was scarcely used, memory and oral transmission was exercised and strengthened to a degree now almost unknown' relates Michael Zwettler.[1]
Prophet Muhammad (S): The First Memorizer
It was in this 'oral' society that Prophet Muhammad (S) was born in Mecca in the year 570 C.E. At the age of 40, he started receiving divine Revelations from the One God, Allah, through Archangel Gabriel. This process of divine revelations continued for about 22.5 years just before he passed away.
Prophet Muhammad (S) miraculously memorized each revelation and used to proclaim it to his Companions. Angel Gabriel used to refresh the Quranic memory of the Prophet each year.
'The Prophet (S) was the most generous person, and he used to become more so (generous) particularly in the month of Ramadan because Gabriel used to meet him every night of the month of Ramadan till it elapsed. Allah's Messenger (S) use to recite the Qur'an for him. When Gabriel met him, he use to become more generous than the fast wind in doing good'. [2]
'Gabriel used to repeat the recitation of the Qur'an with the Prophet (S) once a year, but he repeated it twice with him in the year he (Prophet) died'. [3]
The Prophet himself use to stay up a greater part of the night in prayers and use to recite Quran from memory.
Prophet's Companions: The First Generation Memorizers
Prophet Muhammad (S) encouraged his companions to learn and teach the Quran:
'The most superior among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it'. [4]
'Some of the companions who memorized the Quran were: 'Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Ibn Masud, Abu Huraira, Abdullah bin Abbas, Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As, Aisha, Hafsa, and Umm Salama'. [5]
'Abu Bakr, the first male Muslim to convert to Islam used to recite the Quran publicly in front of his house in Makka'. [6]
The Prophet also listened to the recitation of the Qur'an by the Companions: 'Allah Apostle said to me (Abdullah bin Mas'ud): "Recite (of the Quran) to me". I said: "Shall I recite it to you although it had been revealed to you?!" He Said: "I like to hear (the Quran) from others". So I recited Sura-an-Nisa' till I reached: "How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people?"' (4:41) 'Then he said: "Stop!" Behold, his eyes were shedding tears then'. [7]
Many Quranic memorizers (Qurra) were present during the lifetime of the Prophet and afterwards through out the then Muslim world.
'At the battle of Yamama, many memorizers of the Quran were martyred. 'Narrated Zaid bin Thabit al Ansari, who was one of those who use to write the Divine Revelations: Abu Bakr sent me after the (heavy) casualties among the warriors (of the battle) of Yamama (where a great number of Qurra were killed). Umar was present with Abu Bakr who said: "Umar has come to me and said, the people have suffered heavy casualties on the day of (the battle of) Yamama, and I am afraid that there will be some casualties among the Qurra (those who memorized the entire Quran) at other place…"' [8]
'Over the centuries of the Islamic Era, there have arisen throughout the various regions of the Islamic world literally thousands of schools devoted specially to the teaching of the Quran to children for the purpose of memorization. These are called, in Arabic, katatib (singular: Kuttab). It is said that the Caliph 'Umar (634-44) first ordered the construction of these schools in the age of the great expansion'. [9]
Second Generation Memorizers:
"…Quranic schools were set up everywhere. As an example to illustrate this I may refer to a great Muslim scholar, of the second Muslim generation, Ibn 'Amir, who was the judge of Damascus under the Caliph Umar Ibn 'Abd Al-Aziz. It is reported that in his school for teaching the Quran there were 400 disciples to teach in his absence". [10]
Memorizers in Subsequent Generations:
The Number of Katatib and similar schools in Cairo (Egypt) alone at one time exceeded two thousand. [11]
Currently both in the Muslim and non-Muslim countries thousands of schools with each instructing tens of hundreds of students the art of memorizing the entire Quran. In the city of Chicago itself, there are close to 40+ Mosques, with many of them holding class for children instructing them the art of Quranic memorization.
Further Points of Consideration:
Muslims recite Quran from their memory in all of their five daily prayers.
Once a year, during the month of Fasting (Ramadan), Muslims listen to the complete recitation of the Quran by a Hafiz (memorizer of the entire Quran)
It's a tradition among Muslims that before any speech or presentation, marriages, sermons, Quran is recited.
Conclusion:
Quran is the only book, religious or secular, on the face of this planet that has been completely memorized by millions. These memorizers range from ages 6 and up, both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, blacks, whites, Orientals, poor and wealthy.
Thus the process of memorization was continuous , from Prophet Muhammad's (S) time to ours with an unbroken chain.
"The method of transmitting the Quran from one generation to the next by having he young memorize the oral recitation of their elders had mitigated somewhat from the beginning the worst perils of relying solely on written records…" relates John Burton. [12]
"This phenomenon of Quranic recital means that the text has traversed the centuries in an unbroken living sequence of devotion. It cannot, therefore, be handled as an antiquarian thing, nor as a historical document out of a distant past. The fact of hifz (Quranic Memorization) has made the Qur'an a present possession through all the lapse of Muslim time and given it a human currency in every generation never allowing its relegation to a bare authority for reference alone" reflects Kenneth Cragg. 2. Written Text of the Quran
Prophet's Lifetime:
Prophet Muhammad (S) was very vigilant in preserving the Quran in the written form from the very beginning up until the last revelation. The Prophet himself was unlettered, did not knew how to read and write, therefore he called upon his numerous scribes to write the revelation for him. Complete Quran thus existed in written form in the lifetime of the Prophet.
Whenever a new revelation use to come to him, the Prophet would immediately call one of his scribes to write it down.
'Some people visited Zaid Ibn Thabit (one of the scribes of the Prophet) and asked him to tell them some stories about Allah's Messenger. He replied: "I was his (Prophet's) neighbor, and when the inspiration descended on him he sent for me and I went to him and wrote it down for him…" [14]
Narrated by al-Bara': There was revealed 'Not equal are those believers who sit (home) and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah' (4:95). The Prophet said: 'Call Zaid for me and let him bring the board, the ink pot and scapula bone.' Then he (Prophet) said: 'Write: Not equal are those believers…' [15]
Zaid is reported to have said: 'We use to compile the Qur'an from small scraps in the presence of the Apostle'. [16]
'The Prophet, while in Madinah, had about 48 scribes who use to write for him'. [17]
Abdullah Ibn 'Umar relates:… 'The Messenger of Allah (S) said: "Do not take the Qur'an on a journey with you, for I am afraid lest it should fall into the hands of the enemy"' [18]
During the Prophet's last pilgrimage, he gave a sermon in which he said: 'I have left with you something which if you will hold fast to it you will never fall into error - a plain indication, the Book of God (Quran) and the practice of his Prophet…' [19]
'Besides the official manuscripts of the Quran kept with the Prophet, many of his companions use to possess their own written copies of the revelation'. [20]
'A list of Companions of whom it is related that they had their own written collections included the following: Ibn Mas'ud, Ubay bin Ka'b, Ali, Ibn Abbas, Abu Musa, Hafsa, Anas bin Malik, Umar, Zaid bin Thabit, Ibn Al-Zubair, Abdullah ibn Amr, Aisha, Salim, Umm Salama, Ubaid bin Umar'. [21]
'The best known among these (Prophet's Scribes) are: Ibn Masud, Ubay bin Kab and Zaid bin Thabit'. [22]
'Aisha and Hafsa, the wives of the Prophet had their own scripts written after the Prophet had died'. [23]
Conclusion:
The complete Quran was written down in front of the Prophet by several of his scribes and the companions possess their own copies of the Quran in the Prophet's lifetime. However the written material of the Quran in the Prophet's possession were not bounded between the two covers in the form of a book, because the period of revelation of the Qur'an continued up until just a few days before the Prophet's death. The task of collecting the Qur'an as a book was therefore undertaken by Abu Bakr, the first successor to the Prophet.
Written Qur'an in First Generation
At the battle of Yamama (633 CE), six months after the death of the Prophet, a number of Muslims, who had memorized the Quran were killed. Hence it was feared that unless a written official copy of the Quran were prepared, a large part of revelation might be lost.
Narrated Zaid bin Thabit al-Ansari, one of the scribes of the Revelation: Abu Bakr sent for me after the casualties among the warriors (of the battle) of Yamama (where a great number of Qurra (memorizers of the Quran, were killed). Umar was present with Abu Bakr who said: "Umar has come to me and said, the people have suffered heavy casualties on the day of (the battle) of Yamama, and I am afraid that there will be some casualties among the Qurra at other places, whereby a large part of the Quran may be lost, unless you collect it (in one manuscript, or book)…so Abu Bakr said to me (Zaid bin Thabit): You are a wise young man and we do not suspect you (of telling lies or of forgetfulness) and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah's Apostle. Therefore, look for the Qur'an and collect it (in one manuscript)'…So I started locating the Quranic material and collecting it from parchments, scapula, leafstalks of date palms and from the memories of men (who know it by heart)…" [24]
Now, a committee was formed to under take the task of collecting the written Quranic material in the form of a book. The committee was headed by Zaid bin Thabit, the original scribe of the Prophet, who was also a memorizer of the complete Quran.
'…Zaid bin Thabit had committed the entire Quran to memory…' [25]
The compilers in this committee, in examining written material submitted to them, insisted on very stringent criteria as a safeguard against any errors.
1. The material must have been originally written down in the presence of the Prophet; nothing written down later on the basis of memory alone was to be accepted. [26]
2. The material must be confirmed by two witnesses, that is to say, by two trustworthy persons testifying that they themselves had heard the Prophet recite the passage in question. [27]
'The manuscript on which the Qur'an was collected, remained with Abu Bakr till Allah took him unto Him, and then with Umar (the second successor), till Allah took him unto Him, and finally it remained with Hafsa, 'Umar's daughter (and wife of the Prophet)'. [28]
This copy of the Quran, prepared by the committee of competent companions of the Prophet (which included Memorizers of the Quran) was unanimous approved by the whole Muslim world. If they committee would have made a error even of a single alphabet in transcribing the Quran, the Qurra (memorizers of the Quran) which totaled in the tens of hundreds would have caught it right away and correct it. This is exactly where the neat check and balance system of preservation of the Quran comes into play, but which is lacking for any other scripture besides the Quran.
Official written copy by Uthman
The Quran was originally revealed in Quraishi dialect of Arabic. But to facilitate the people who speak other dialects, in their understanding and comprehension, Allah revealed the Quran finally in seven dialects of Arabic. During the period of Caliph Uthman (second successor to the Prophet) differences in reading the Quran among the various tribes became obvious, due to the various dialectical recitations. Dispute was arising, with each tribe calling its recitation as the correct one. This alarmed Uthman, who made a official copy in the Quraishi dialect, the dialect in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet and was memorized by his companions. Thus this compilation by Uthman's Committee is not a different version of the Quran (like the Biblical versions) but the same original revelation given to the Prophet by One God, Allah.
Narrated Anas bin Malik: Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to Uthman at the time when the people of Sham (Syria) and the people of Iraq were waging war to conquer Armenia and Azherbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their differences in the recitation of the Quran, so he said to Uthman, 'O chief of the Believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (Quran) as Jews and Christians did before'. So Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, 'Send us the manuscripts of the Quran so that we may compile the Quranic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you'. Hafsa sent it to Uthman. 'Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair, Said bin Al-As and Abdur Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, 'In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Quran, then write it in their (Quraishi) tongue'. They did so, and when they had written many copies, Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied and ordered that all the other Quranic materials whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt…" [29]
Again a very stringent criteria was set up by this Committee to prevent any alteration of the Revelation.
1. The earlier recension (Original copy prepared by Abu Bakr) was to serve as the principal basis of the new one. [30]
2. Any doubt that might be raised as to the phrasing of a particular passage in the written text was to be dispelled by summoning persons known to have learned the passage in question from the Prophet. [31]
3. Uthman himself was to supervise the work of the Council. [32]
When the final recension was completed, Uthman sent a copy of it to each of the major cities of Makka, Damascus, Kufa, Basra and Madina.
The action of Uthman to burn the other copies besides the final recension, though obviously drastic, was for the betterment and harmony of the whole community and was unanimously approved by the Companions of the Prophet.
Zaid ibn Thabit is reported to have said: "I saw the Companions of Muhammad (going about) saying, 'By God, Uthman has done well! By God, Uthman has done well!" [33]
Another esteemed Companion Musab ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas said: "I saw the people assemble in large number at Uthman's burning of the prescribed copies (of the Quran), and they were all pleased with his action; not a one spoke out against him". [34]
Ali ibn Abu Talib, the cousin of the Prophet and the fourth successor to the Prophet commented: "If I were in command in place of Uthman, I would have done the same". [35]
Of the copies made by Uthman, two still exist to our day. One is in the city of Tashkent, (Uzbekistan) and the second one is in Istanbul (Turkey). Below is a brief account of both these copies:
1. The copy which Uthman sent to Madina was reportedly removed by the Turkish authorities to Istanbul, from where it came to Berlin during World War I. The Treaty of Versailles, which concluded World War I, contains the following clause:
'Article 246: Within six months from the coming into force of the present Treaty, Germany will restore to His Majesty, King of Hedjaz, the original Koran of Caliph Othman, which was removed from Madina by the Turkish authorities and is stated to have been presented to the ex-Emperor William II". [36]
'This manuscript then reached Istanbul, but not Madina (Where it now resides)'. [37]
2. The second copy in existence is kept in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. 'It may be the Imam (master) manuscript or one of the other copies made at the time of Uthman'. [38]
It Came to Samarkand in 890 Hijra (1485) and remained there till 1868. Then it was taken to St.Petersburg by the Russians in 1869. It remained there till 1917. A Russian orientalist gave a detailed description of it, saying that many pages were damaged and some were missing. A facsimile, some 50 copies, of this mushaf (copy) was produced by S.Pisareff in 1905. A copy was sent to the Ottoman Sultan 'Abdul Hamid, to the Shah of Iran, to the Amir of Bukhara, to Afghanistan, to Fas and some important Muslim personalities. One copy is now in the Columbia University Library (U.S.A.). [39]
'The Manuscript was afterwards returned to its former place and reached Tashkent in 1924, where it has remained since'. [40]
Conclusion
'Two of the copies of the Qur'an which were originally prepared in the time of Caliph Uthman, are still available to us today and their text and arrangement can be compared, by anyone who cares to do, with any other copy of the Quran, be it in print or handwritten, from any place or period of time. They will be found identical'. [41]
It can now be proclaimed, through the evidences provided above, with full conviction and certainty that the Prophet memorized the entire Quran, had it written down in front of him through his scribes, many of his companions memorized the entire revelation and in turn possess their own private copies for recitation and contemplation. This process of dual preservation of the Quran in written and in the memory was carried in each subsequent generation till our time, without any deletion, interpolation or corruption of this Divine Book.
Sir Williams Muir states, " There is otherwise every security, internal and external, that we possess the text which Muhammad himself gave forth and used". [42]
Sir William Muir continues, "There is probably no other book in the world which has remained twelve centuries (now fourteen) with so pure a text". [43]
This divine protection provided to the Quran, the Last Reveled Guide to Humanity, is proclaimed by One God in the Quran:
'We* (Allah) have, without doubt, send down the Message; and We will assuredly Guard it (from corruption)' (Quran - Chapter 15, Verse 9).
*('We' is the plural of Majesty, and not the Christian plural of trinity)
Compare this divine and historical preservation of the Quran with any literature, be it religious or secular and it becomes evident that none possess similar miraculous protection. And as states earlier, a belief is as authentic as the authenticity of its scripture. And if any scripture is not preserved, how can we be certain that the belief arising out of this scripture is divine or man made, and if we are not sure about the belief itself, then our salvation in the hereafter would be jeopardized.
Thus this above evidence for the protection of the Quran from any corruption is a strong hint about its divine origin. We request all open hearted persons to read, understand and live the Quran, the 'Manual for Mankind'.

What Quran teaches goes DIRECTLY against the pagan Arab culture,
religion, and gods, that existed before the Quran was revealed.
Quran condemns idol worshipping, but the Arabs, loved their idol
gods, and worshipped them regularly. Quran raised the status
of women; the Arabs treated women next to animals. The Arabs
would never write something that goes against their most
important belief of idol worshipping. Quran goes against most
of the social habbits (such as backbiting, slandering, name
calling, etc) which the Arabs were heavily indulged into. For
example, the Arabs would call insulting nicknames such as Abu
Jahal (the father of ignorance). Quran condemns and prohibits
taking interest on money, whereas, the Arabs freely levied heavy
interest rates in loans and businesses. Quran condemns and
prohibits Alcohol drinking, whereas, the Arabs consumed alcohol
freely. The Quran condemns and prohibits gambling, whereas,
the Arabs were some of the worst gamblers. The Arabs would
never write something so comprehensively against just about all
of their customs and culture and religious beliefs, as the Quranis.
During the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), the Arabs would
indulge in all the social habbits that the Quran condemns and
prohibits. How can Arabs then write something that would negate
their entire society's norms and ideologies ?
Did a group of Arabs or an individual Arab write Quran? Perhaps
a rebel Arab beduoin, or a society's misfit, or someone with
different ideals and norms decided one day to write Quran? The
answer to those questions are also 'no'. Because, if we read
Quran, we notice that there is no author ! No individual has
his/her name written on the cover of Quran! Anytime an
individual writes a book, he/she writes his/her name on the
cover. The author's name always appears on his/her book, and
there is always an author who is credited for writing that book.
No one in the history of the world has EVER claimed to have
written the Quran, nor anyone's name ever appeared in front of
the Quran as bein the 'author'. This is the only book in the
world without an author. No one in the world has ever been
accused of writing the Holy Quran, except the Prophet Mohammad
(peace be upon him), by non-muslims.
Quran has no author, and no group or individual in Arabia ever
claimed to have written it, nor any group or an indvidual
recited, taught, and explained Quran except the Prophet Mohammad
(pbuh) and his followers. The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon
him) was the only Arabian who first practiced, explained, and
preached Quran, and ended up making a lot of Arab tribes
enemies. Any historian, Muslim or non-Muslim would argue that
the only possible source of Quran can be the Prophet Mohammad
(pbuh), the man responsible to recite it, teach it, and expalin
it to the people of Arabia. In fact, many historians today
still think that only Mohammad (pbuh) could possibly havewritten it.
This leads one to conclude that the Prophet (pbuh) must havewritten it !
Mohammad (pbuh) wrote it ?
First, he was illiterate !! How can an illiterate person come
up with such a rich, poetic, intellectual, and inspiring text
that it rocked the entire Arabia ?
Mohammad (pbuh) never went to school ! No one taught him. He
had no teacher of any kind in any subjects. How can he have the
knowledge of all the science, astronomy, oceanography, etc that
is contained in the Quran ? ( For example, the mention of
ocean currents, stars, earth, moon, sun and their fixed paths in
Soorah Rahman; and many other scientific statements that are
found in Quran, that I cannot state in this short article)
When Quran was revealed, the Arabic language was at its peak in
richness, poetic value, literature, etc. Quran came and
challenged the best literature in Arabic, the best poetry in
Arabic of the time. Mohammad (pbuh) being illiterate couldnt
possibly have come up with something so immaculate that it even
exceded the best of poetry, and literature in Arabic at the time
of the language's PEAK development. Arabic language had never
been so rich in expression, poetic value, vocabulary, and
variety in literature, as it was in the time of Quran. At a
time like this, Quran came and exceeded the best of Arabic in
all aspects of the language: poetry, literature, expression,
etc. Any classical Arabic speaker would appreciate the
unbeatten, unchallenged, and unmatched beauty of the language ofQuran.
An illiterate man is simply not capable of writing such a book.
Mohammad (pbuh) had no reason to come up with something like
Quran, and cause the entire society of Arabia to become his
enemy. Why would he do something like that? Why would he write
something going against almost all of the norms of the society,
and lose his family, relatives, friends, and other loved ones ,
and not to mention all the wealth he lost ?
Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years ! A very long
time! Is it possible for someone to maintain the same exact
style of Arabic speech , as demonstrated in Quran, for over 23years ?
Also, what the prophet Mohammad (saaw) used to say is recorded
in what we call his hadeeth (sunnah). If we look at the Arabic
style of the hadeeth, and compare it with the style of Quran, we
can clearly see that they are clearly DIFFERENT, and
DISTINGUISHABLE Arabic styles. The prophet (saaw) spoke in
public. It does not make sense that a man has two UNIQUE,
Distinguishable, and completely different styles of speech in
public. Yet another reason why Mohammad (saaw) couldn't
possibly have written Quran.
Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years ! A very long
time! Is it possible for someone to maintain the same exact
style of Arabic speech , as demonstrated in Quran over 23 years?

"Behold! The angels said: "O Mary! God has chosen you and purified
you - Chosen you above the women of all nations." Qur'an-3:42

"Chosen you above the women of all nations." Such an honour is
not to be found given to Mary even in the Christian Bible!...........
Knowing full-well, and believing as we do, that the whole Quran
is the veritable Word of God, we will nevertheless agree, for
the sake of argument, with the enemies of Muhammed (pbuh) for a
moment, that he wrote it. We can now expect some cooperationfrom the unbeliever.
Ask him, "Have you any qualms in agreeing that Muhammed (pbuh)
was an Arab?" Only an opinionated fool will hesitate to agree.
In that case there is no sense in pursuing any discussion. Cut
short the talk. Close the book!
With the man of reason, we proceed. "That this Arab, in the
first instance, was addressing other Arabs. He was not talking
to Indian Muslims, Chinese Muslims, or Nigerian Muslims. He was
addressing his own people - the Arabs. Whether they agreed with
him or not, he told them in the most sublime form - words that
were seared into the hearts and minds of his listeners that Mary
the mother of Jesus -A JEWESS- was chosen above the women of all
nations. Not his own mother, nor his wife nor his daughter, nor
any other Arab woman, but a Jewess! Can one explain this?
Because to everyone his own mother or wife, or daughter would
come before other women.Why would the Prophet of Islam honour a woman from his
opposition! and a Jewess at that! belonging to a race which had
been looking down upon his people for three thousand years?
Just as they still look down upon their Arab brethren today.
SARAH AND HAGAR
The Jews get their cock-eyed racism from their Holy Bible, where
they are told their father, Abraham, had two wives -Sarah and
Hagar. They say that they are the children of Abraham through
Sarah, his legitimate wife; that their Arab brethren have
descended through Hagar, a "bondwoman", and that as such, the
Arabs are inferior breed.
Will anyone please explain the anomaly as to why Muhammed (pbuh)
(if he is the author) chose this Jewess for such honour?

There is a Chapter in the Holy Quran, named Sura Maryam "Chapter Mary" (XIX) named in honour of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ
(pbuh); again, such an honour is not to be found given to Mary in the Christian Bible.
Out of the 66 books of the Protestants and 73 of the Roman Catholics, not one is named after Mary or her son. You will find books named after Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul and two score more obscure names, but not a single one is that of Jesus or Mary!
If Muhammed (pbuh) was the author of the Holy Quran, then he would not have failed to include in it with MARYAM, the mother of Jesus, his own mother - AMINA, his dear wife - KHADIJA, or
his beloved daughter - FATIMA. But No! No! this can never be.

I was reading about the charge that the prophet, Mohammed (pbuh), has written the Quran himself. Before you go any further in reading this post, please ask yourself whether you are a

Islam is based on faith that is supported by a number of
strong miracles such as knowing what events to take place
ahead of time or coming up with supernatural deeds in front of
people. The holy Quran has these signs and much more. First, The
holy Quran predicted many events to take place ahead of the time
of the revelation of that verse; for example, predicting the
destruction of Persian empire at a time where the later had a
monumental victory over Rome. If the prophet, as some people
claim, has written the Quran, then he would have put his future
in real jeopardy (50% chance) since neither satellite photos nor
on-ground intelligence personnel were available to him at the
revelation time. Further, numerous details about many natural
phenomena were detailed in the Quran and, until recently, they
were proven by experts to be amazingly accurate. For example of
the physical development of the fetus inside the womb along with
timing given by many verses matches exactly what leading
authorities in Embryology are claiming to be recent
discoveries. Moreover, verses that gives descriptions about the
creation of the universe and the function of mountains in
balancing earth and many other descriptions/explanations are
available to be read and to be understood. If the prophet was
the author, wouldn't he be prone to make weak inferences similar
to those who claim that earth is square and whoever says
otherwise should be killed?
The prophet also has demonstrated many supernatural
miracles not by his own power, but by the power of the
creator. He went to Jerasalem back in one night and gave a
detailed description of the carnival that was traveling on that
route and also specific accedint happend to them at that noght
(in those days, it takes a month or so for a round-trip). In
another ocasion, he provided water for an entire army from a
small plate between his hands. There are many other miracles
that require serious truth seeker to read about and to thinkabout it.
From the above, it reasonable to conclude that the Quran is not the
PROPHET CREATION. HE HAD NO WAY TO PREDICT ALL THESE EVENTS AND
TO BE RIGHT ALL THE TIME, ESPECIALLY WHEN KNOWING THAT THE
PROPHET HIMSELFE WAS ILLITERATE !!!

the Qur'an describes embryo development.Prof. Moore has said:
"It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in
the Qur'an about human development. It is clear to me that
these statements must have come to Muhammed from God or Allah
because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until
many centuries later. This proves to me that Mohammed must
have been a messenger of God or Allah."

"The Qur'an describes not only the development of external

this individual Mohammed had to be developing this information
from some place, so I see nothing in conflict with the concept
that Divine Intervention was involved...."
That leaves us to our third option: God wrote it !

Thanks to the brothers/sisters who answered to our new missionary friend, I say he is a beginner and one who is not that well-versed in the world of converting people!.
Also, the father is so arrogant that he reminded ME when Allah said "And they said, no one will enter the heaven except he be a jew or a christian" And Allah almighty told us to respond to them "And say bring forth your evidences IF YOU ARE TRUTHFUL". Anyway the father does not wanna talk about THREE GODS IN ONE because it has been confusing EVER SINCE IT WAS DECIDED IN THE COUNCIL OF NICEA AROUND 300 YEARS AFTER JESUS PEACE BE UPON HIM.

RS: Another thing to consider is that all of the points that missionaries bring up regarding the Qur'an come from hadith reports. They speak of "different versions" of the Qur'an, but no such Qur'ans exist! There are just hadiths (some without chains of narrators) that says 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'oud's (or whoever's) copy of the Qur'an had a verse that said such-and-such. Many of the alleged hadiths that Christians use are weak, fabricated or baseless. The ones that are true simply show that some of the Companions made
mistakes in writing or wrote down one reading instead of another. That's the whole reason that the hadith collector (or narrator) mentioned the difference - because it was seen to be different from the actual established Qur'an. A difference was noticed and it was reported. In order to report a difference, you must have the "Real McCoy" (pardon my slang) - which Muslims have. Christians, in order to determine whether a Bible verse is authentic, just compare different textual fragments. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Depending on the age and number of the texts, etc., they decide on how authentic it is. However, they don't have THE text to compare verses with and say this is different than THE Biblical text. On the contrary, they use a methodology to establish a Biblical text based on muliple texts (or fragments). Muslims, on the other hand, have THE text of their scripture, so when something comes up it can be compared with IT. Then it can be said that it agrees or disagrees. Additionally, there are seven different "readings" of the Qur'an, as I'm sure you know, but nobody except those who want to sow doubts in people's minds try to show that any of these readings make a difference in meaning, i.e. Maaliki yawm-id-Deen vs. Maliki yawn-id-Deen (Alif vs fatha, i.e. long aa vs. short a). The Angel Gabriel taught the Prophet, peace be upon him, the seven readings. This comes from hadiths, too, so they can't have their cake and eat it too! |

A GUIDE TO MISSIONARY TACTICS

This guide is intended to improve awareness about the tactics used by
some groups and cults. The tactics of missionaries and missionary
groups may vary, but there are some basic guidelines to keep in mind
that will be helpful in dealing with them.

HIDDEN AGENDA
Some missionaries attempt to develop a rapport with their
subject without divulging their own religious affiliation or
intention. As an example to make making them seem less
"Christian" missionaries are coached by their superiors to
avoid using words such as "Christ" or "savior" or "baptize".
If you are not sure about the religious identity of the
stranger who begins talking to you about religion, ask him
directly about his beliefs and agenda. Be suspicious of an
indirect answer. Remember these people aren't interested in
dialogue or trying to improve Anglo-Muslim links but are often
in SECURE PAID EMPLOYMENT to Sell Christianity.
CREATING DOUBT
When talking to a Muslim about religion, a missionary may
attempt to elicit as many "I don't know" responses as possible,
in order to establish his superiority in matters of religion.
Don't allow yourself to be intimidated!
Remember, the missionary has studied Islamic beliefs for the
sole purpose to sell Christianity to Muslims. There heart are
sealed and they are no longer interested in truth. Keep in mind
that he is not speaking to you in order to exchange ideas, but
rather to create as much doubt in your mind and lead you away
from your faith. If you want to learn more about the Quran, do
so from someone who doesn't have hidden motives. Therefore,
feel free to simply end the conversation and walk away.
Remember that many of these questions and associations they are
trying to sell have been debunked many times by more learned
Muslims. If they were interested in dialogue the would be
speaking to respected elders and community leaders exploring
common ground improving understanding and faith in the
community, but all one sees are the often the same question
again to unsuspecting victims. Ask yourself what do they hope
to gain ?
However, some of you may want to listen to their arguments and
then learn the Muslim response, in order to be better prepared
for future encounters. One must also remember that many
missionaries intentionally go into Muslim areas in Britain so
they train themselves and create the most seductive "Sales
Pitch" they can manage. Once they have finished there training
in salesmanship they will target unsuspecting Muslims (the
lonely, vulnerable and weak) lacking in knowledge.
The following pointers should give you a basic idea of what to
look for. DECEPTION
The missionary may tell you that he (or a Christian friend or
acquaintance) was once an Muslim, or that he had a solid Muslim
education, a traditional Muslim family life, etc. This is
almost always a lie, so don't let him fool you. The hidden
message that he is attempting to convey is that he came to
accept Christianity after knowing and overcoming all of the
Muslim objections (Jesus being son of god, Bible being
corrupted by man etc.), and therefore, why should you bother to
check it out?
He may drop certain Islamic phrases or talk about the details
of his "traditional" Muslim upbringing, in order to lend more
credence to his story. In fact, his "memory" is often the
result of careful coaching.
The missionary might tell you that he knows the Islamic
objections to his arguments, and will then proceed to show how
such objectives are ill-founded. Don't expect to hear the real
Islamic response from such a source.
GOOD, BAD OR UGLY
Don't be taken in by the "good cop - bad cop" routine. This
routine involves a "bad cop" who threatens the subject, and a
"good cop" who protects him from the "bad cop". The subject is
so grateful to the "good cop", and so worried about losing the
good-will of his protector, that he invariably shows his
appreciation by telling the "good cop" what he wants to hear.
In similar fashion, the "good" Christian talks about how much
he loves and respects Muslims, while denouncing the "bad"
Christians who hate and have persecuted Muslims. The naive and
ones lacking in knowledge of Christian history and bigotry will
feel grateful to the "good cop", and may automatically judge
him to be a friend and reliable ally. Watch out for hidden
motives behind such "friendship".
WHO BELIEVES IN THE SON OF GOD?
At the outset, the missionary will talk about his belief that
Jesus is the messiah. Many Muslims don't find out until later,
often after they have joined a Christian friendship group, that
their fundamental belief is that Jesus is god. Any talk about
"the messiah" or "son of god" is merely a cover for that
belief, basic to Christianity . However, since such a concept
is repugnant in Islam, this most basic belief of Christianity
is glossed over as much as possible when missionaries talk to
Muslims. PROOF or SPOOF?
Don't be impressed by the claim that Christians have 50, or
100, or 300 "proofs" that they are correct in their claims
about Jesus. As proof after proof is shown to be meaningless,
the missionary will hide behind his numbers, as if to say:
"Well, we have so many more proofs, what's the difference if
you can disprove some of them". He will attempt to "split the
difference" with you: "Well, even if half our proofs prove
nothing, we still have another 25 or 50, or 150". Remember, all
of their proofs can be shown to be untenable. Keep in mind that
a faulty point is not worth 50% of a good point, or 25%, or
10%. It is worthless. The simple mathematics are: 50 x 0 = 0,
100 x 0 = 0, 300 x 0 = 0. CIRCULAR REASONING
Very often, the reasoning used by Christian missionaries is
circular. That is, the "proof" only points to something is if
you believe it in the first place, and therefore is no proof at
all. MISTRANSLATION
Be aware of the problem of mistranslating. A person who is not
familiar with Arabic can be lead to accept a mistranslating
which puts a Christian "twist" on a verse that never had such a
meaning in the original. If you can't check it out yourself,
talk to a reliable person who can. Remember, it is no
coincidence that the Muslims of past generations, who were much
better versed in the Arabic, never had any serious problems
refuting Christian missionary arguments.
In addition beware of Christian Translations of the Quran, many
date from sixteenth to the eighteenth century with the sole
intention of to discredit Islam.
Please keep in mind ANY translation (interpretation) of the
Quran will most definitely contain errors In its natural
language (Arabic), the Quran is the direct Word of Allah (God)
to mankind through the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
Any translation of the Quran no longer retains that 'official'
and perfect status, however it can be tremendously helpful to
beginning students wanting to learn more about Islam.
We would strongly encourage those want to learn about Islam to
purchase a copy of the Quran but with the following conditions:
+ get one with commentary (tafseer)
+ make sure the tafseer is scholarly (e.g. references to
reasons behind a verse, references to hadith and sunnah,
etc.)
An excellent English translation and commentary of the Quran
is Maududi's recently published work "The Meaning of the
Quran". QUOTING OUT OF CONTEXT
Often a verse will be quoted to you that has been taken
entirely out of context. When the entire chapter that contains
that verse is read, it becomes clear that it does not
corroborate the Missionary.

Conclusion : Selling Timeshare or Christshare?
You may recognize many of the tactics used by some Missionaries in
selling there faith as they have similarities to disreputable
Timeshare and Double glazing salesman, and this raises some
interesting points:
Why would one propagate faith in such a deceitful and underhanded way,
is it because:
God will not aid ones seeking the true path?
A bad product is difficult to sell unless you dupe someone?
If you are genuinely interested in faith
Why don't you go ask someone with a sound knowledge and
understanding of Islam, instead of targeting the naive,
vulnerable and the weak.
Why do you seek out the naive and week and then intentionally
ask Mischievous questions, when they have been answered
many times by learned scholars and by people that you
have approached over the years? Surely this does not add
to knowledge or understanding.
Why do you target Muslims
Considering the moral depravity often in your own family and
neighbourhood and within so called Christians.
Is it because Muslims are wealthy in faith?
Is it because you have so much hatred for us and you are
unable, incapable or tired of other methods:
RIDICULE There is a very large number of publications by
Muslims explaining Islam in plain and simple
English. Look in any public library for books on
Islam, a large proportion of them will be by
orientalists and Christian missionaries, what do
you think motivates someone to write a book on a
subject one does not believe in and an area that
has been already covered by numerous other books?
Remember Christian "Translations" of the Quran
whose sole intention was to discredit Islam.
CRUSADES Butchered everyone including defenseless women
and children or any one else that got in there way.
Although it has taken many hundreds of years
Crusaders have improved they now only kill some
women and RAPE THE REST. The twentieth centuary has
seen "Ethnic Cleansing" replace the word Crusade,
in 1996 one of the youngest recorded victim of rape
in Bosnia was a baby of 4 Months old. Many women
and children had two of there fingers severed by
the Serbs so that the three remaining fingers would

The X-RATED PARADISE OF ISLAM
In this article I shall describe the Islamic Paradise or Jannat which was invented by Prophet
Mohammed to bribe the Arabs into committing hedious crimes by promising them materialistic
things which they couldn't obtain in the harsh desert. The paradise contains six important items:
beautiful virgins, young boys, water, wine, fruits and wealth.
To prove my point I have taken verses from the Koran and quotes from the Hadiths.
VIRGINS (HOURIS)
Mohammed knew that sex would sell very well among the group of his lecherous followers who
were motivated to fight battles by the promise of sex slaves and booty. By constantly emphasizing
to his followers that they would get untouched virgins in Paradise, Mohammed is clearly
expressing his "high" opinion of the institution of marriage and his fairness to women. Once the
followers go to heaven, they can conveniently ditch their wives for the fresher and more
pleasurable sexual encounters with 'Houris' (beautiful virgins). Not only that, the poor wives who
gave up their virginity for the pleasure of their husbands do not get even one Male Sex Bomb. But
wait, Allah is all merciful! He gives the wives the rare honour of watching their husbands deflower
those 72 Houris (virgins) and 28 young pre-pubescent boys.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:
Koran 78:31
As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high-
bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup.
Koran 37:40-48
...They will sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches.
Koran 44:51-55
...Yes and We shall wed them to dark-eyed houris. (beautiful virgins)
Koran 52:17-20
...They shall recline on couches ranged in rows. To dark-eyed houris (virgins) we shall wed
them...
Koran 55:56-57
In them will be bashful virgins neither man nor Jinn will have touched before.Then which of the
favours of your Lord will you deny ?"
Koran 55:57-58
Virgins as fair as corals and rubies. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?"
Koran 56:7-40
...We created the houris (the beautiful women) and made them virgins, loving companions for
those on the right hand.. "
Koran 55:70-77
"In each there shall be virgins chaste and fair... Dark eyed virgins sheltered in their tents whom
neither man nor Jin will have touched before..
In the Hadiths, Mohammed goes one step further and expands the promise of virgins to include a
free sex market where there is no limit of the number of sexual partners. Women and young boys
are on display as if in a fruit market where you can choose the desired ripeness.
Quote from Hadiths
Al Hadis, Vol. 4, p. 172, No. 34
Ali reported that the Apostle of Allah said, "There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no
buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have
intercourse with them."
YOUNG BOYS
Homosexuality was and is widely practised in Islamic conutries. To please the homosexuals
among his followers he promised them pre-pubescent boys in Paradise. So after committing
plunder, loot, rape and murder in this life, the followers of Islam get "rewarded" by untouched
virginal youths who are fresh like pearls.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:
Koran 52:24
Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.
Koran 56:17
Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.
Koran 76:19
And round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness: if thou seest them, thou wouldst
think them scattered pearls.
As mentioned in my previous article, famous poets in Arabia glorified homosexuality. As an
example I am including a poem in 'Perfumed Garden' by Abu Nuwas:
O the joy of sodomy!
So now be sodomites, you Arabs.
Turn not away from it--
therein is wondrous pleasure.
Take some coy lad with kiss-curls
twisting on his temple
and ride as he stands like some gazelle
standing to her mate.
A lad whom all can see girt with sword
and belt not like your whore who has
to go veiled.
Make for smooth-faced boys and do your
very best to mount them, for women are
the mounts of the devils
Need I say anything more after this colorful rendition by Abu Nuwas ?
WATER
One of the major problems in the desert of Arabia was shortage of pure water. Mohammed knew
very well that to the Arabians, fresh water was an item of luxury. So promising them abundant
pure water, river, fountains and springs in paradise would defintely lure them to murder, loot and
plunder people of other religions in this life.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:
Koran 13:35
This is the paradise which the righteous have been promised: it is watered by running streams..
Koran 3:198
As for those that fear their Lord, theirs shall be gardens watered by running streams in which they
will abide for ever, and a goodly welcome from God...
Koran 3:136
...These shall be rewarded with forgiveness from their Lord and with gardens watered by running
streams, where they shall dwell forever. Blessed is the reward of those who do good works..
Koran 15:45
The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear flowing water)
Koran 22:23
As for those who have faith and who do good work, God will admit them to gardens watered by
running streams..
Koran 47:15
Here is a Parable Of the Garden which the righteneous are promised: In it are rivers of water
incorruptible;
Koran 55:50-51
In them each will be two springs flowing free; Then which of the favours of your Lord will you
deny ?
Koran 55:66-67
In them will be Two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:Then which of the
favours of your Lord will you deny ?
Koran 44:51-55
As for the righteous, they shall be lodged in peace together amidst gardens and fountains...
Koran 56:7-40
...They shall recline on couches raised on high in the shade of thornless Lote trees and talhs;
amidst gushing water...
WINE
Mohammed had to find more selling points besides virgins, young boys and plenty of water. What
good would be of Paradise without rivers of wine for his followers? Wine was an extremely
precious commodity in the dry deserts of Arabia where it was rare to find vineyards. Mohammed
had a problem here- he had to include wine in his 'Paradise-Package' but how could he include it
in the list when Allah had declared intoxicants as sinful. The only way to do this was to somehow
claim that the wine in the promised Paradise was not intoxicating and therefore not sinful. Never
mind the fact that wine by nature contains alcohol which is intoxicating.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:
Koran 47:15
Here is a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised. In it are...rivers of wine...
Koran 37:40-48
But the true servants of God shall be well provided for,...they shall be served with goblet filled at a
gushing fountain, white and delicious to those who drink it. It will neither dull their senses nor
befuddle them.
Koran 56:7-40
They shall recline on jewelled couches face to face, and there shalt wait on them immortal youths
with bowls and ewers and a cup of purest wine:
Koran 83:23-26
The righteous will surely dwell in bliss. Reclining upon soft couches they will gaze around them:
and in their faces you shall mark the glow of joy. They shall be given a pure wine to drink,
securely sealed, whose very dregs are musk...
FRUITS
So far Mohammed has presented a very appetizing picture of Paradise, but then it struck him that
sex is no fun on an empty stomach. Besides that one needs lots of nutrition in order to have the
energy to perform with so many Houris and young boys. The prophet was an expert on this
subject having honoured every one of his numerous wives and mistresses with a nightly visitation
on one single night. Besides the only fruits he had ever gotten to taste in this life was some dates
and dry pomegranates. So heaven had to be furbished with an inexhaustible supply of every
variety of fruits.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:
Koran 13:35
This is the paradise which the righteous have been promised.. eternal are its fruits, and eternal are
its shades..
Koran 37:40-48
But the true servants of God shall be well provided for, festing on fruit and honoured in the
gardens of delight...
Koran 43:68-73
...Such will be the garden of which ye are made heirs for your deeds. Ye shall have therein
abundance of fruit, from which ye shall have satisfaction.
Koran 47:15
Here is a Parable Of the Garden which the righteneous are promised: ...In it are rivers of milk of
which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; And rivers of honey pure
and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; And grace from their Lord..
Koran 55:47-49
Containing all kinds of trees and delights.Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny ?
Koran 55:52-53
In them there will be fruits of every kind, two and two. Then which of the favours of your Lord
will you deny ?
Koran 55:54-55
...The fruit of the gardens will be near and easy to reach. Then which of the favours of your Lord
will you deny ?
Koran 55:68-69
In them will be Fruits, And dates and pomegranates: Then which of the favours of your Lord will
you deny ?
Koran 44:51-55
...Secure against all ills, they shall call for every kind of fruit..
Koran 56:7-40
They shall recline on jewelled couches face to face, and there shalt wait on them immortal youths
with ...fruits of their own choices and flesh of fowls that they relish..

...Reclining there upon soft couches, they shall feel neither the scorching heat nor the biting cold.
Trees will spread their shade around them, and fruits will hang in clusters over them...
But the best was yet to come. The highlight of life in Islamic Pardise is the fact that one doesn't
have to go to the toilet. All merciful Allah had miraculously provides a much better system for
getting rid of body waste. You simple sweat it out (probably after all that sex or belch after
consuming all that fruit and wine)
Quote from the Hadiths:
Sahih Muslim Book 39, Number 6798, Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
I heard Allah's Apostle (pbuh) as saying that the inmates of Paradise would eat and drink but
would neither spit, nor pass water, nor void excrement, nor suffer catarrh. It was said: Then, what
would happen with food? Thereupon he said: They would belch and sweat (and it would be over
with their food), and their sweat would be that of musk and they would glorify and praise Allah as
easily as you breathe."
WEALTH
Mohammed wanted to ensure that his followers would not be obsessed with 'worldly things' in this
life. So he made sure that they have plenty of worldly things to pursue in heaven.
The relevant verses from the Koran are:
Koran 22:23
As for those who have faith and who do good work, God will admit them to gardens watered by
running streams. They shall be decked with pearls and bracelets of gold, and arrayed in garments
of silk.
Koran 43:68-73
Enter ye the Garden, Ye and your wives, in beauty and rejoicing. To them will be passed round,
dishes and goblets of gold: there will be there all that soul could desire, all that the eyes could
delight in: and ye shall abide there in..
Koran 55:70-77
..They shall recline on green cushions and fine carpets. Then which of the favours of your Lord will
you deny ?
Koran 44:51-55
As for the righteous, they shall be lodged in peace together amidst gardens and fountains, arrayed
in rich silks and fine brocade...
Koran 55:54-55
They will recline on carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade...
Koran 56:7-40
They shall recline on jewelled couches..
Koran 76:13-21
..They shall be arrayed in garments of fine green silk and rich brocade,and adorned with bracelets
of silver..
Mohammed's promise of an Islamic Paradise that glittered with the fulfillment of all sorts of wordly
desires and sense enjoyment was nothing but a sinister ploy to recruit those who had no hope or
expectation of ever getting these things in their present lives. Knowing that they are assured of
such a Paradise simply because they follow Islam, Muslims can go around committing murder,
rape plunder and loot. It is the picture of this paradise that has motivated Muslims over the
centuries to cut down people of other religions, to desecrate their places of worship and mistreat
them in the name of Allah. Even after death, the spritually deprived Prophet of Islam could not see
beyond wine, women and food, leave alone exploring spiritual heights of the soul. |

This a direct challenge to all the infidels such as father Michael and their likes. I affirm that the Holy Quran is the word of Allah unlike the Bible. As father Michael put it, the Koran is not the Word of Allah. I challenge him to bring forth any error that he might have come across while reading the Koran. No matter how hard he might try, he won’t be able to find an iota of inconsistency in it. That per se is a clear proof that the Holy Quran is the Word of Allah. Since father Michael started attacking the Islamic belief, I’m hereby prepared to return the favor by engaging with him in a subjective and unbiased way. In other words, I’m gonna prove day in and day out that the Bible, as has been presented to us today is different from its original version. In so far that many alterations, additions and deletions were subjected to it to either embellish it or to further some vested interest. Let’s start now by analyzing and bringing to light some of the most evident and untenable mistakes that abound in the Bible. Let’s start by quoting some verses from Genesis:
Chapter 1, verses 1 & 2:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without
form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God
was moving over the face of the waters."
Let’s analyze this verses for a moment.
It is quite possible to admit that before the Creation of the Earth, what was to become the Universe as we know it was covered in darkness. To mention the existence of water at this period is however quite simply pure imagination. Instead, there is every indication that at the initial stage of the formation of the universe a gaseous mass existed. It is an error to place water in it.
Still in verses 3 to 5:
"And God said, ‘Let there be light’, and there was light. And God saw that the light
was good: and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and
the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day."
Again, let’s analyze these verses as well.
The light circulating in the Universe is the result of complex reactions in the stars. At this stage in the Creation, however, according to the Bible, the stars were not yet formed. The ‘lights’ of the firmament are not mentioned in Genesis until verse 14, when they were created on the Fourth day, "to separate the day from the night", "to give light upon earth"; all of which is accurate. It is illogical, however, to mention the result (light) on the first day, when the cause of the light was created three days later. The fact that the existence of evening and morning is placed on the first day is moreover, purely imaginary; the existence of evening and morning as elements of a single day is only conceivable after the creation of the earth and its rotation under the light of its own star, the Sun!
Father Michael, need I say more to disprove that the Bible as present to us today is not the original Injiil that we Muslims belief was sent down to Christ (p.b.u.h.). If you wanna hear more, just ask and I will be more than happy to quote directly from your own Book and prove to you that uncountable additions, deletions, and alterations were subjected to present version of the Bible over the centuries. So, please before it is too late for you return to Allah with humility and ask for His forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is oft forgiving and most merciful. In brief, I pray to Allah that He shows you the right path and brings you over to the only religion accepted by Him, that is Islam. |

SATI (WIDOW-BURNING)
According to Hindu scriptures, a widow is required to mount the funeral of her dead husband and be cremated along with his corpse. If the husband dies at a distant place, the widow is nonetheless to be burned alive on a pyre by herself. A widow who burns herself to death this way is called sati. The guiding force to motivate Hindus to practice sati is the instructions given in their scriptures. Some of these are as given below [ 1 ]:
"It is proper for a woman, after her husband's death to burn herself in the fire with his copse; every woman who thus burns herself shall remain in paradise with her husband 35,000,000 years by destiny."
"The wife who commits herself to fames with her husband's copse shall equal Arundathi and reside in Swarga (heaven)."
"Accompanying her husband, she shall reside so long in Swarga as the 35,000,000 of hairs on the human body.
"As the snake-catcher forcibly drags the serpent from his earth, so bearing her husband [from hell] with him she enjoys heavenly bliss."
"Dying with her husband, she sanctifies her maternal and paternal ancestors and the ancestors of him to whom she gave her virginity."
"Such a wife adorning her husband, in celestial felicity with him, greatest and most admired, shall enjoy the delights of heaven while fourteen Indras reign."
"Though a husband had killed a Brahman, broken the ties of gratitude, or murdered a friend she expiates the crime."
The rite of sati was prevalent in India until it was prohibited by the British Government in 1829. Regulation XVII of 1829 declared sati illegal and punishable by the criminal courts as 'culpable homicide' amounting to manslaughter,' for which a death sentence could be awarded.[ 2 ]. The orthodox Hindus protested that measure and made an appeal to the Privy Council in England, but, fortunately for the would-be Hindu widows of India, the council dismissed the appeal. Thus after having been practiced in India for over two thousand years, the institution of widow-burning became illegal by the law enacted by a foreign power.
Until the practice of widow-burning was made a punishable offence, the number of widows sacrificed every year was appalling. Early in the nineteenth century, in Bengal alone, the annual number of such cases was about twelve hundred. In 1818, no fewer than 839 cases of sati occurred in Bengal. Of these cases, as many as 544 were accounted for by Calcutta division alone [ 3 ].
It appears that Hindu society was not ready to honour the ordinance which banned sati except under duress. Long after the date of enactment of the ordinance, the rite was freely practiced in Hindu States outside the jurisdiction of the British power. The sati which accompanied the cremation of the body of Maharaja Ranjit Singh of the Punjab in 1839 is a case in point. Four of his wives and seven female slaves were burnt to death on the funeral pyre with his corpse when it was cremated [ 4 ]. Sati continued to be practiced in some parts of India even after independence (i.e, 1947).
Apparently, the institution of sati highlights the chastity of women. However, when one considers the institution of devdasi (i.e., the system of keeping temple prostitutes) to satisfy the lust of the priests and enable them to earn handsome income through engaging these girls in immoral activities with rich pilgrims, one fails to understand what is the real purpose of sati, upholding the chastity of women or torturing them to death.
The alternative to the rite of sati is enforced widowhood, with all its degrading accompaniments. It seems as if the Hindu law-givers made harsh regulations to be strictly followed by a widow to make her life as miserable as possible. The widow had from the moment her husband died not only to deplore the loss of a companion, but she had also to take a position of utter degradation in the household where formerly she had an honourable place. In the words of J.C. Oman, "In many parts of India, it is customary a few days after the cremation of the husband, to perform what may be called the ceremony of formally degrading the widow, when she has her head shaved by the barber and is deprived of the use of all her personal ornaments..." |

Sex and Sex-Worship
Hindu scriptures are essentially pornographic in nature, full of sexual allusion, sexual symbolism, passages of frank eroticism and stories relating to venal love. Some religious sects even introduced ritual intercourse as part of their cult and a potent aid to salvation [ 14 ]. The rituals, festivals and ceremonies are characterized by the display of obscene portraits, sex and sex-worship. The temples, places of pilgrimage and other holy shrines are full of sculptures with all sorts of sexual postures. The sexual life of Krishna, an incarnation of Vishnu, is well-known for its indecency. He had illicit relations with Radha, wife of his maternal uncle, in addition to a number of milk-maids, although he had a large number of wives [ 15 ]. Among Hindu gods, the most prominent ones are: Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the sustainer) and Siva (the destroyer). Brahma is found guilty of cohabiting with his own daughter, Saraswati. It is for that reason that he is deprived of being worshipped. Vishnu is guilty of deceitfully ruining the chastity of a married woman, called Tulasi. Siva is not worshipped but the image of his linga (sex-organ) is widely worshipped. This is because of the curse of some sage [ 16 ]. In the sculpture, Siva and his consort Parvati are depicted in various explicit poses of the sexual act.
Prostitution is encouraged in the form of religious custom of devdasi (slave-girls dedicated to temple-idols). Hindu gods and rishis (sages) are found engaged in sexual act with beautiful women and breeding illegitimate children. As for instance, in order that Rama could have strong soldiers in his army, the gods engaged themselves in begetting powerful sons. This they did by engaging themselves, in the words of Dr. Ambedkar [ 17 ], "in wholesale acts of fornication, not only against apsaras, who were prostitutes, not only against the unmarried daughters of Yashas [ 18 ] and nagas, but also against the lawfully wedded wives of Ruksha, Vidhyadhar, Ghandharvas, Kinnars, and Vanaras (monkeys) and produced the vanaras who became the associates of Rama" |

Reverence for the cow is an important feature of Hinduism. For Hindus, the killing of a cow is a serious crime. The Arthashashtra [1] refers to the killing of cattle as a crime worthy of death [2]. This explains why during the Second World War, "American servicemen in Calcutta were instructed that if a traffic situation arose in which the driver had a choice of striking a cow or a human, hit the human and proceed without stopping to a police station" [3].
M.K Gandhi [Mahatma Ghandhi] in his book Hindu Dharma says, "Cow-protection is an article of faith in Hinduism. Apart from its religious sanctity, it is an ennobling creed." (p.108). He also says, "If someone were to ask me what the most important outward manifestation of Hinduism was, I would suggest that it was the idea of cow-protection." (p. 110). He further says, "No one who does not believe in cow-protection can possibly be a Hindu." (p. 118).
It is because of the cows divine position that Hindus regard its urine, and dung as purifier [4]. Considering the divine status of the cow, some special provision has been made in the constitution of India for its protection. Moreover, slaughtering of the cow has been banned in several provinces of India. |
