Unrecorded Date I am a student nurse and have worked in a fertility clinic where they treat couples who can not have babies.
What they do is basicaly to transfere the women's eggs and put the sperm of her partner and the embrolgist put them together and when they become fertilised, it's then put back in the woman's uteres (sp). If lots of healthy eggs have been collected then with the couples permision some of them are frozen to use it in her next cycle.
My question is what does our religion say about this? Is it permissible to do this procedure and what rules are governing this procedure Islamicaly??
Unrecorded Date Since this is human being development to have babies as you indicated Iman, our Muslim Scholars has governed and framed with certain rules regarding this subject and this is what I recall:
1- First couples should and must be married (Wife & Husband ). 2- Not third part interference involved (Mother, Sister, delegated women by renting her uterus in a contract base and etc..) this is Haram 3- Doctors should be reliable (Otherwise we have no guarantee the offspring is yours) as it happened in USA and Canada many cases for switching the fertility. 4- Well experienced team should recommend that this is the only way couples are having baby because of many reasons.
