Hanging with the wrong people, drinking ,sleeping around, clubbing and doing drugs ( weed and qaat ) is one of the reasons many muslim somalie's morals are disappearing from their minds and being a muslim is something you are ashamed of .Why is that ?
Dont you know you will end up one day lieing on your back and not being able to speak or move, wondering about why people around you are screaming and crying ...you know why? ... because you are dead. You died of an over dose ( drugs).. you died of drinking and driving (drinking), you died of AIDS ( sleeping around ).. you died of a shot wasnt meant for you ..outside a club.
But at the end we come to a conclusion that you are dead .And you will be asked ... who is your God and what is your religion ?
Will you then remember 'Allah' and your a 'Muslim' or will you stutter and feel guilty remembering the days that you use to listen to sisqo instead of reading the quraan ,not knowing arabic is not a good excuse .. there is always tapes that you can listen to .. so listen and read after him ... just like the way you memorize a complicated rap song by Eminem.
Are you a colledge student ?
Are you a graduate with some kind of a degree ?
If yes , then you are a knowledgable and an intelligent indivisual, i congratulate you.
But , do you have a masters in your religion ...do you have a degree, or should i put it simply .. do you know ANYTHING about islaam .....if yes , then you got yourself the ticket to paradise ..if no ..then you are a Jaahil .
In this world ... would you love to live as a Jaahil and not be educated ..with no job and no family and nothing, sleeping in the streets of toronto , doing drugs and drinking to keep you warm and high in the cold winter days ?
Thats how you are to Allah .. the scum of life.
Advice ......stop drinking ...for its xaraam and your blood is so polluted and your heart is as black as coal...you will never see the light you are missing .The light of Imaan.
Stop clubbing , for you intermingle with the worst and you yourself will be affected .
If you keep a fresh tomato in a bag with one that is spoiled ... it gets spoiled after a while.
Stop doing drugs , your harming your body and becoming who you dont wanna be , a lost soul with a dead body .You might feel high in the beginning ... but you will stoop to the lowest low.
Having sex before marriage is a crime ..how come your scared of stealing a bank or killing someone? .. are you scared of a bunch of cops that will put you in prison .What about Allah who created all these creatures and cops ..arent you scared of him ?.. if you lost your virginity before marriage .. you deserve a 100 lashes on earth. If you are married and you committed adultery .. they bury you from the neck down .. hit you with stones until you die .Thats how you can be forgiven for it.But Allah is watching you .. remember .
May Allah forgive us All..
remember ... you live for a maximum 100 years ..or less ... but your eternal life might be in hell or heaven .. so choose.
Choose wisely ... Imagine ..living forever. |

I see where you are coming from...but when someone has done wrong you correct their wrongs gently not condemning them on the spot, that's one of the reasons why Islam is misinterpreted most of the time. I agree that one shouldn't fold their hands and turn the other way but conduct themselves Islamically and tell their brothers and sisters of their wrongs --- all i'm saying is that there is a proper way of doing it. Its like telling a child when they haphazardly bring harm to themselves ... you know you're going to hell for doing that ... that is Deembi within itself... who gives a human the right to determine who goes to heaven or hell. |

If you read ahadith and islamic books , you will read worse than what i said. What i wrote is just the translation to the modern english that we hear everyday...that many of you who live in this modern life would understand.
To Allah's servant, I believe the people that read this page are not children, so i wont give them a chocolate to convince them to leave all these habits.Its their choice , i am simply making them realize what shameful things they are doing to themselves and their community, and i am really worried about my brothers and sisters who are falling into these dark holes.I thank gurer1,jamaal,xaali,xamardeye and huda who agree with me and are reading the content of my article instead of searching for errors or crtiticism.I am a human after all and not a mucalin to be precise.
Calling them "scums" might not be the right word, i was simply angered by some people's comments in this page. I plead for Allah's forgivness for saying such word.
But i am still asking myself and you all ,
What is wrong with the somali community living here in canada, europe and the states?
Is our culture and morals fadeing away and are no longer in existence because of our country ,that many fear to go back to. Are they trying to fit in ,so they can be welcomed into this society with open arms by Gaalada ? But you know they are rascists and always will be.
I hear somali woman calling 911 on their husbands just to file for abuse and get extra financial help from the goverment,, i see men chewing Qaat all day long and abandoning their family so they can be raised by this lost community and a single strong mother. I see somali woman chewing qaat and all they do is go to wedding parties every weekend.
I see men and woman having 2-3 jobs, caring about money and wanting more money to be something,but care less about their own families who need them far more.
I see lost children and youngsters, and i cant help seeing them finding love in other places other than their own homes.
But i am proud to see and hear about strong somali indivisuals that strive for the best and are well educated with a strong iimaan in Allah.
I am proud to see single mothers being their for their children through thick and thin with no father firgure around, striving to learn the foreign language their children speak so they would talk for them in the community.I am proud of somalies here in canada and the states that filled the mosques when they were empty more than 10 years ago,and building new ones .I am proud of indivisuals who are trying to sort one problem in our lives ...our beautiful country " somalia".

I totally agree with you.
But I think Why are these problems existing in our community is becous, we really did not have good understanding of Islam. Everything was culture. And so when we came to these western countries, we have adopted there culture, and so it goes. I think a person can loose their cultur more easly than their religion. |
