I don't know why but I could never figure out all that ficil mudaaric and ficil this business, Arabic must be the hardest language in the world. I just liked when the teachers translated the stories like Juxa(Al fuluusu fii jeeyb wal ximaari fii suuq!!!). My trick for passing tests(just barely) was to memorize everything without understanding a single word. When I see a test question I would guess its meaning and write down everything I memorized that is related to the question. It must have made for a hilarious reading. Now I remember a bit of this other one we used to sing: Yaa illaahii yaa illaahi yaa mujiibu dacawaati....... the rest of it escapes me. Hey who remembers this song when the Iraqi president before Saddam came to Somalia and we had to stand in the street and sing it over and over again: Somaliyoo Ciraaq Waa laba daloo carbeed caadaa naga dhaxaysa caadilkaanu barinaa diinkaanu cuskanaa ...... dawladaha carbeed way is caawiyaan cadawgeedu ha jabee Caashaa lil Ciraaq

Yasser Arafat struggled all his life in the interest of Palestine and his people. All Palestinian are not making millions around the world as you stated. I believe you are aware of the horrible situation and life style they live in the Middle East. There is one sad incident I will always remember in Saudi Arabia 1989. A Palestinian friend of mine, we used to study together. His father was thrown in detention center "Jail" for deportation for almost five years. The father didn't commit any crime they kept him in jail for five years because no other country would accept him. Just imagine that. I am pretty sure that most of you think that history would condemn anyone who let himself be seduced into signing an agreement, giving up Arab rights in Jerusalem. Well think again, is there any other alternative? The answer is no. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if Yasser Arafat accepts any deal for the sake of his people. I am pretty sure that most of you think that I am liberal. If there is someone to blame for this tragedy don't look far. Blame "al kilaab Hussni Mubaark, King Fahad".

Now lets get back to humans...When it comes to somalies ... we are already at a horrible and a weak state ... we need eachother to stand up and build a whole nation... If we unite ... we can prosper easliy .... but between unity and somalies there is a thick wall of clanism ... fear....history repeating itself .. and pessimism. Somaliland wants their own country ....and southern somalia too .. but still they are also having their own conflicts down there and somaliland doesnt even want to negotiate which is a bigger problem.Yaa lateef ....speaking about lughz .. this is one problem hitler or stalin themselves couldnt solve. About Baxreen, will if it wasn’t for the bridge of Saudi Arabia, it will be swimming somewhere today. Oman is busy trying to find a wife for its Sultan. Qatar is busy hanging other Arab countries dirty underwear through its successful media “ Al jazera” , and totally forgot their own. You know what raxaaal , I met alot of new muslims here, and trust me they make me feel so good just looking at their presistence in understanding every detail of the quran and hadith, following it as if its a LAW sent upon them and if they dont follow it they dont deserve to be called muslims.Therefore , they are earning that name.How many of us (born muslims) do that everyday, alot do ..many dont.And i have seen their personalities and their behavious change drastically. | | Saturday, September 09, 2000 - 01:05 pm To all, regard to the current Somali President, I just watched a show in Al-Jazera channel for an hour, it was an educated one. You know what, it is good to see our elderly speak the Arabic fluently, and discuss the issue with an open mind. Anyway, one of he guys in the panel was from Puntland, he was questioning the legitimate of the new " Barlaman " which was chosen by few people in Djibouti, and then he hold a piece of document showing the atrocity which has been committed by one of the old regime named Morgan against Somalis in Puntland, he added this man was chosen by the new president as a general of the Somali army which is the same position he had held in the past. I was so shocked and mad at the same time, he continued to say that how would you expect us to trust such a man who brought back another murderer such as Morgan, the man who raped our daughter, killed our scholars, and our sons as well. At that moment, I changed my mind about anything called unification between the two Somalia at least for now, and to add insult to injury, he added that Mr. Salad had made a statement in the Ihram news paper in Egypt saying if the north don’t join Somalia as one country, then we will force them to do so. Sound like Siad Barre, aint it?? We managed to govern ourselves in the past Ten years Somaliland that is, Salad isn't going to change a damn thing. To be frank, the change he needs to do is to control those Hyenas in Mogadisho, as a mater of fact one of them was with him " Ali Mahdi" in United Nation, I thought Annan will take that as an opportunity to hold him for war crime, but I was disapointed. Here is what so called new president arrive to NewYork with a Hyena proudly. wow, that was a slap on the face, I have never supported to divide Somalia, but now I'm behind it 100 percent.

I think those leaders who commited acrocities and crimes in the past shouldnt be given second chance to rule or hold significant posts in somalia.. criminal is a criminal and will always remain that way...fresh blood is needed i think who has no criminal background what soever. somaliland case is a bit difficult one and people have mixed feeling on that issue.but mine is the people of somaliland should determine their future direction and i hope they achieve what they think is the best for them.they are our cousins after all and we should wish them all the best not talk of forcing them to join us coz that wouldnt work. i say this because i feel the pain they have went through.what happened to them is no different to what happened to south yemen when they joined north yemen,it couldbe even worse. i hope no one get offended by my c thats the truth jamaaal arbaca(xamarawi is talking politics)

I will keep on reading your postings even if i am busy with school ..so please dont stop talking about your views towards whats happening now to our beloved country, cause i dont watch news .Intum maxatati al ikhbaariyaa ...eventhough its a topic that doesnt very much appeal to me. You all know that. But it stills concerns me and every Somali. Since i didnt follow the news ...i would rather tell you something different .... let me tell you how our people are reacting towards this issue. Since I spoke to many. Many people oppose Salad cause to many people , he might turn into another Siad Barre, a warlord, therefore they would rather wait maybe another decade until they find a clean president which everyone would approve of . God knows how long will that even take, and if this great number of somalies live outside somalia any longer ...trust me the consequences is not very good , looking at it now. And now , they are sick of waiting.... they would prefare to live peacefully in their own territories, with their own resources and their own laws and no interference from other clans whom they have conflicts with. Somaliland , puntland ..and others . The question is , do you agree with Uniting , or do prefare if we seperate ? There is alot of facts that makes me agree with seperation, one important one is the fear of another war .In the beginning it might be minor , then it might turn major. I would do anything to avoid that. And the list goes on. There is also alot of facts that makes me prefare unity and that is , " Fil itixaad quwaa, wabil tafaruqi dacf". And the list goes on...... To many other people , Salad is the saviour from our opression, which lasted 10 years. A decade of tasharud , wa tacab is not easy my friends, thats why many are fed up and wanna start a new page. A new president ..and a new somalia. Others think in a clanish way .. . And other good reasons which you my friends stated earlier. Many Somalies are mentally , physically and spiriually injured from the war and others from living in ghurba . As for me , i will go with anything that will bring peace , justice and liberation to my people....I will go with anything that will end this somali crisis. If Salad would force Somaliland to join ........then i think he is wrong.. . cause i would prefare if he negotiates , i believe strongly in negotiation.. cause i dont think we can have our independence waleed and I dont think we will be recognized .... it might take a loooog time . Time is our enemy. You know that we all have one aim in mind , no matter what issue we might discuss about somalia .. we all come up to the same conclusion, which is " living in Somlia peacefully ". But i have seen many presidents supporting war ..one of them is el malcoon sadaam . And you know what? ..for the first time .. i agree with him. I support war .. bigtime. I joined el muthaaharat ( rally) here in toronto ..and i have seen the jewish flag being burned down a couple of times....i have never screamed at the top of my voice " laa ilaaha ila allah " . or allahu akbar before... at that moment ..i felt goood .. damn good .I myself was ready for violence forget about those palestinians whom are being attacked in their own mosques .
