I would not call this president intelligent, he is only after his own interest, nobody from the last government can tell us he has changed or has a solution. Get over your tribal sickness and look at the wasted opportunities and helpless somali youngesters who have no future if this lawlessness continues in the country. If you don't like the guy because of his tribe, I think what you don't get into your head is that no body rules no body somalia. It is all co-operation and mutual understanding between people. Days of harrassing people and industrial-scale looting of national property are over. Accountability will be the norm of the day. The same way elders and people from different clans elected the guy, the same way he will be deposed if not fullfilling. Give a fucking rest to this useless tribalism you guys are sick with. The days of a minority tribe ruling over a majority are gone.
The days of a minority tribe ruling on self interest are gone.
The days of harassment, looting, selfishness, iniquity are gone.
The days where single point of views that dictated everything are gone.
Maybe Salat was in the Af Weyne government but he wasn't THE GOVERNMENT. He wasn't the one that stole, raped, looted, killed, gave orders, planned mass mureders.

Sad-somali and Truth-Hurts, you guys said it all. What I don't get is when the table turns into a tribal playground. You only mentioned this thug-elected morron president. All of a sudden there's North and South and blah blah blah.
Poeple, get over with the simple mindedness and learn how to debate. why couldn't you simply ask the reason why Sad-somali doesn't like the new president ....it might not be because of tribe differences which I care the least. After all, isn't he/she a somali who can assume their responsibilities. As long as that thug-elected president is using the somali name I'll always be critics as well and have every rights to do so....get it please.
It's a fact and we cannot ever deny that Salad and alikes are somalia's cold blooded criminals who were the whole reason behind the anarchy. he helped Barre's regime by adminstering about six different minsters out of 20 of all. Some of them when the regime was committing to his worst human crimes..killing not to mention corruption!
He doesn't even desrve a national penitentury cell...he should have been hang.
Mohamud, do not let the emotions run over you. its somalia's politics that doesn't stick in to one direction for that long. Just don't make enemies...Salad is/was one of the people who made us flee our country and now he's letting our children to do the same thing. Mahmood, I liked your introduction, but it fell a way short from something called common sense. The fact of the matter is Salad was one of the old Mafia, and you are right, maybe he didn’t commit the looting, raping, and the killing that took place during his era. But, the least thing he could have done was RESIGNING from his job. The question is did he ever attempt to resign, ofcourse NOT, he chose to remain in his office while collection his monthly salary. He showed up now with few thugs that he knew and tries to lead our Somalia to the twenty first century. Whatever soap or detergent he used to clean his filthy hand seemed to be working, because many Somalis followed him without given any consideration to his ugly past. As for myself and many decent Somalis, the new president has to be someone who never worked for the Fucker Siad Barre regardless of his clan identity, and nowdays many young Somalis who can be qualified easly including the Sad Somail of this original article. To me, he made alot of sense. |
