Now that half the somali nation and culture is living abroard, many somali tradition is forgotten. Should female circumcision be strongly encouraged to protect our women from western ways of sex before marriage?...(coz its happening).

JAMAL......FIRST OF ALL I WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU WITHOUT INSULTING YOU.
FIRST......YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS INVOLVED IN FEMALE CIRCUMSTION. IT IS HARAAM. IT IS FOLOWING WAYS OF ANCIENT BABARICG PAGANS. GOD CREATED THE CLITORIS FOR WOMEN, AND HE DID NOT INTEND IT TO BE CUT OFF. CONTARY TO POPULAR BELEIVE, IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT ISLAM ASKS OF WOMEN.
SECONDLY....HOW ON EARTH ARE WOMEN SUPPOSED TO GO TO TOILET OR HAVE MONTHLY CYCLES IF THEY ARE SEWED UP? HOW ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO HAVE CHILDREN? WHY PUT THEM IN PAIN WHEN IT IS NOT NECCESSARY, WHEN GOD DID NOT INTEND IT. IT IS, ACCOURDING TO RELIGION, THAT MALES ARE TO BE CIRCUMSTISED NOT FEMALES.
THIRDLY..... WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF CIRCUMSTION? IF YOU ARE AS IGNORANT AS TO THINK IT WILL STOP WOMEN/GIRLS FROM HAVING SEX, YOU'RE WRONG. THERE ARE CLINICS AND DOCTORS EVERYWHERE, SO IF ANYBODY WANTED TO DO IT, THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO STOP THEM.
FOURTHLY........DID YOU KNOW THAT PARENTS WHO AGREE TO CIRCUMSTISE GIRLS, IF THEY DIE BEFORE THEIR KID HAS FORGIVEN THEM, THAT A GRIEVIOUS PENALTY AWAITS THEM IN THE OTHER WORLD?
FIFTLY........IT IS INHUMAN AND CONSIDERED CHILD ABUSE, THERE WAS A WOMAN WHO PAID £200 TO HAVE HER DAUGHTERS CIRCUMSTISED IN LIVERPOOL (ENGLAND), THE TEACHER AT SCHOOL FOUND OUT AND HER KIDS WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER, SHE IS SERVING HER THIRD YEAR OUT OF FIVE IN JAIL....FOR INTENDED CRULETY AGAINST CHILDREN. NO ONE WAS WILLING TO LISTEN TO HER BULLSHIT ABOUT CULTURE.
AND FINALLY....IT WAS SOME STUPID TRADITION, MOST LIKELY INVENTED BY MALES, TO CONTROL FEMALE SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR.
I THINK THAT ABOUT SUMS IT UP.

All I've got to say is AAAAAAAAAAwch it still hurts just thinking about the pain. Jamal your talking about protecting girls from having sex before marriage...we are afraid of having sex...the pain we have to go through isn't worth having any sex man. But you know what buggs on top of that is People who talk about it still...like that women that went on OPRAH. It happend and I forgave my mother..but don't let the whole world know how ignorant we are.
