If you're in Europe - which based on using the phrase chat me up I suspect you are, then use whatever pre-fix from your country. If you would prefer a conversation on the net then ask away. I do drink alcohol. Lucky the Somalis don't do that huh? My parents were good, God-fearing people. How can you judge my parents when you never met them? Or me for that matter? Arawello Hakima is right. There are some Somali customs and perhaps some Somalia education that you are lacking, but you have picked up others - you speak English for example. As I have stated before, one of the things that holds so much promise for Somalia is this diasporra. when things are secure, many Somalis who have picked up skills in diverse areas of the world, will bring these skills back. You now have a Somali population that speaks many languages. That alone is a wonderful skill for enhancing trade. And Somalia lies on a lot of great trade routes. Many Somalis have had a chance to attend top universities and are getting great educations. They can bring their technical skills as doctors and engineers and so forth back with them and apply them at home. I remain convinced that out of the ashes of this terrible period Somalis will come to realize that they must embrace their national identity before their clan identity and will take their already impressive business acumen and turn it into something that will make Somalia the model for economic development throughout Africa. I know it's hard to see right now, but I am not a stupid man. I can see it and so can a lot of other people. The days of the warlords are coming to an end, and during this next critical period Somalia has a chance to leap into the future. I believe it's going to happen. So don't loose faith. Take this opportunity to get an education and save your money so when you go home you can start your own business and make your country a better place. As for the phone number, why not give it out. It's not like I'm afraid someone is going to call and issue me death threats - they can do that here on the net. Also, it's happened so many times before I'm imune to it now. What else could happen - some hot Somali women breathing heavy on the other end of the line???? Highly unlikely. So no worries. You want to call (or anyone else) fine. You don't, that's cool too.

And i have to admit I should not have said that but as a human being I can make mistakes. I was not angry with with everybody of course. All I was saying was my Somali brothers should be better and I want see more of their roles. As for English in fact it is a poor of me my reading of the Somali language is also poor.
