First of all people, I don't want my boobs enlarged, or have my butt reduced, or lift my face, or whever it is that people have done to themselves.

I want to have plastic surgery to imrove my back. About ten years ago I burnt myself while I was playing, not just a little burn but about 75% of my back. It's totally horrible, and it feels like plastic. I don't have any mirrors in my room and I never look at myself from the side, I hate it. I'm constantly paraniod at weddings, incase my gabarsaar falls of and people might see my back through it. I could never let anyone see what I look like behind the clothes.

I recently found out that there is a plastic surgery form of operation, that can give me a beautiful smooth back which is identical to skin. this is like a miracel, but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do, even if I want it so badly. Some somali people have told me that it is haram or something, and will i be called 'fake'? I just don't know, what would you do?

Sista you should know for one thing that, never go by what people want.Go by what YOU want. For second thing, you dont have to ask for us that question, because honestly its something that is none of our business.Saying this respectively of course. The surgery looks like an important step to your self esteem recovery and its a big deal to you.My advice is,go make a deep research on the particular surgery. For instance look out for doctors that are more experienced with the line of surgery. The clinics that perform it and all the essential requirements to have such operation, prepare yourself by looking at your diet and skin application for the surgery.Look up the doctors names and ask questions.
You do not have to seek an approval green light sis,its not like you are asking a moral validation on the surgery. The surgery seems like a vital necessity to your happiness.Good luck in every decision you make- sis, remember this, PEOPLE OR SOMALI PEOLE ARE IRRELEVANT.Make sure you seek counsel from your family and moral support. They are RELEVANT.
Good Luck sis !

Sista:

Please be advised that there is risk involved
in all types of surgery.

If you decide to have the reconstructive surgery
done, please make sure that the surgeon is
board- certified and that he/she is competent to do the job.

Good luck, Sista!

I do not think there is anything wrong trying to reconstruct part of your body that is damaged as a result of an accident. If this was a natural deformity I will have advised you against it.

Look sista , it is HARAM to take away, change or divert something that God gave you...but in your case this skin burnt is not a gift from Allah. It was an accident and it happened to change the beauty of your skin...So do it as long as it makes
you feel comfortable.

Salam
Corrective surgery is not HARAM. Since it's not a matter of enhancing your look I think it's ok and everyone here seem to agree. But I would like you to consider the reasons you want to have the surgery. Do you want to be more attractive? Feel self confident? Or just be your old self again? In any case, I hope you make the best choice and remember Allah is with you. The answer lies within you and be proud of who you are no matter what.
