First I am not generalizing about something concerning only some Somali women who live in the western countries. Guys the reason I brought this topic is to get at least what is your opinion on this issue and finely I realized that most of you seem to me having no problem with the relationship between muslim women and non muslim men specially Jamaican. Everyone he or she has a choice but the real question is are we following our religion which makes everything clear or we are following what we think is a nice without knowledge. It is clear some of the Somali women who came to the western world or born or grew up there have taken the wrong way the way of (shaydaan). Some Somali women who live in UK Canada and other places in western countries went out with Jamaican or non muslim men the reason is they claim that Somali men don't treat them the right way it is really funny story to make such a justifications like that, but let me tell something to those who think the foreign or Jamaican are treating them right, first I live in the United States and I have a lot of friend like Christians and non religion people and I know deeply their situation of life can you believe me it is seldom the men who treat right with their wives or girlfriends. Women here or generally the western world black or white are complaining a lot from their husbands or boyfriends because they drink a lot and use drugs plus they beat their women. I would like to tell you also the rate of divorce in the western countries are highest than any other countries. The Somali women who went out with the foreigner or Jamaican said " jamaican men treating us right and its up to us our choice" yes they are right its up to them and I am not going to judge them but I want to ask them one question I know the people you are dealing with and if the foreign men don't treat their race of women the right way, they treat you the right way?. Wake up it is shame on you to make such a fool justification like that. I know Somali men chew leafy (qat) it is bad but you can't compare whit the Jamaican men who most of them use drugs like cocaine,marijuana and so on. I would like to say those who went out with the Jamaican good luck
In conclusion I don't care and I am not responsible the wrong way they chose but I care telling the truth. |

Aflow, I am happy you resolved to conclude your topic. Brother, you have a wrong assumption to suggest that we don't care the actions of some somali sisters. however, we feel helpless to do anything about. As the matter of the fact, we are the ones who to blame, because Somali men raped, robbed, tortured, kidnapped, and killed mothers and sisters in Somalia, therefore I don't comrehend why are you floating on the service, rather than going into deep to find the root cause of the problem. In Canada, counlless Somali girls, have Jamiacan kids(garacyo) and granmas are taking care of these kids. As you may aware very many Somali women were raped in refugee camps in East Africa, and Somali women are victims on the earth. unless, we address the remedy for our social problems, our women will continue to be victimised. As immediate next step, we should stop supporting tribal warloads who plunged our land into anarchy and never-ending chaos and help our people to go back our country so that they can live with dignity. |

Somali men raped, robbed, kidnapped, tortured & killed mothers & sisters in Somalia ! sure those situations happened because of war where law & order broke down & warlords ruled, tens of thousands of men were also victims, I think it is silly of you to twist the truth & suggest that Somali men are murderers & therefore Somali women are forced to seek refuge in Jamaicans, that is the dumbest idea I have ever came across. It is a choice they made based on preference & has nothing to do with whether Somali men are good or bad.

So much of our time, energy and attention is wasted trying to convince some somali woman how wrong they are about somali men. I want them to know that all somali men are not ignorant,lazy heathens. I want them to retract the untruth that has been told. sometimes I try to convice my friend(who goes out with a ghanian),that we have a valid history, a rich culture and religion.I spend so much time trying to show "her" who we are not, we lose sight of who we really are.
