Does not fitting the mold often lead to dating outside ones culture/race or is it all about experimentation? It is amazing how westernized you guys are, that double standard existes even in this western culture that you so much identify with, so my dear sisters it is not an exclusive Somali Thang!!! Secondly this business of getting Somali girl pregnant, is your persumtion such that the girl just lays down & let the guy have his way with her? and she is just helpless, isn't that paitornizing. After all it takes two to tango. So my dear, don't bring your simplistic one sided argument with out first calling a spade a spade.
It is people like you who fanning the fire of mistrust among us Somalis, yes there is a long way to go and we are all struggling to do the right thing but don't be delushionally and assume that there is no youth pregnancy problem in the Western Countries and it's one serious problem. |

When a woman/girl from any culture/country becomes pregnant why is she often referred to as the "bad" person and is left to face the burden from the society. Example being single and having a child.
Where are the responsible men ? Why aren't the men who get women pregnant responsible and also face the negative burden. They always seem to be a willing participant to make the baby.
Why do women have to bear this burden by themselves, MEN NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE.
Society and culture need to make irresponsible men/BOYS responsible.

The reson there is a so-called doubled standard leaning toward the man is because in the old days how can you know who the father was.Have you ever heard the expression "mama's baby,daddy's maybee".Sure a man could lie on a woman and say he diddn't do it.Who is to be belived.So there is no evidence on the male part but the women oh...For that matter how many women have lied on a man that they want to marry and its not even there child.So now women you have DNA testing so knowone can complain.Its the Man and womens faultEnd of Topic. |

I totally agree with Mullah it aint the man's fualt when a girl gets pregnant it wasn't like he was holding gun over her head....I'm assuming they both are old enough to know right from wrong but if they want to do it and know the out come of their action let them be.
And as far as dating is concern you date whoever you like as long as you know you limitions and what you expect to happend between the two of you. If you don't want a child don't do the crime if you can't do the time...in another word except your responsiblity if a child comes. But it's better to keep you legs together for both religion and health wise for both male and female.
