Cade,

I agree with you 100%...Somalis marry all kind of people in this world. And body say nothing about it.

But when it come to marying one among us...Who is muslim and shares culture, look, language and country with us ...We call them Midgan, tumaal etc.
As if we are better than them. Can any body tell me how the whole bulshits started in the first place.I bet none of you know.May be we are paying the crime of our fore fathers.Which we so happened..to be endorsing it too..in 21st centuary

Who's Midgaan? the one who doesn't fear Allah is,
as long as your good Muslim nobody can't
put you down, and if they do they will pay for
another day.

Trying to make difference by marrying a Midgaan
is not going to work, who are you trying to prove
something for, yourself or your parents or us who
don't even know you, for your information you will
not be the first guy who married a Mudgaan it
happens, maybe not all the time but it's perfectly
normal, because we're all the same.

I'll tell you why they're called that!
Long time ago them people killed some people that belonged to a tribe called cili and then this man called cali wanted something in return and everytime these people would bring something he would say" celi" and then he wouldn't take anything at all till they give everyhthing they had to him and then they couldnt find anything more to eat and then they ate baqti so then they called them midgaan. By the way midgaan and tumaal are the same Anonymous.

If you ask me I think it is all so stupid cause I don;t agree with it.

Canab Cadey.

if you disagree please tell me whhy?

ANONYMOU#2

In the first Hijra{migration} Islam reached Abysinia, present day Ethiopia. At that time Abbysinians were christians while the Somalis were pagans....Who worship different gods.Muslims came to Abysinia as refugees, running away from persecution in Arabia. At that time Islam did not even reached Madina. The muslim refugees were granted refuge. And allowed to stay in Abysinia.

But the muslim refugees could not be part of christian Abysinia...So they moved east towards Somalia. They settled in an ancient city in Somalia, which for some reason i dont wanna name.

Islam spread thoughout Somalia like fire.Clan after clan became Muslim. It is possible that some were forced to be muslims. Some also rebeled and sticked to the believes of their forefathers.

Since the majority of the popullation became muslim...eating animals not slaughtered in Halaal way become shame and crime against God.Hence the word "Baqti",and those who eat it were outcasted.
They were still considered outcast and inferior after they eventually converted to Islam. The name still hangs over their heads today,14 handread years After. So is it logic to condemn some one today for what happened centuaries ago.

YOURS TO JUDGE!

I TRULY AGREE WITH HAMMER!
THOUGH I AM NOT MIDGAN. I WOULD MARRY ONE IN A HEARTBEAT IF HE IS GOD FEARING AND RESPECTABLE THEN ONE FROM MY OWN CLAN WHO WASN'T GOD FEARING. I BELIEVE THAT A PERSON SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED FOR WHO THEIR ANCESTORS WERE BUT THEIR ABILITY TO FOLLOW ALLAH'S WORDS ( THE HOLY GURAN) AND THE TEACHINGS OF THE PROPHET(P.B.U.H.).

NASRA,

Thank you.....And keep up the good thought.

T.GIRL,

Shame on you.You even went to the extent of excluding Midgan children from Somalia.

CADE,

Bro....The broblem we are facing is over a thousand and half years old.It is not something we can eradicate easily in our generation. As you can see alot of our generation still believe it is right.

Charity starts at home...And as long as people like you and me are around....There would be hope for those unfortunate people.

I have a dream....And hope that one day.. every one in Somali Nation... would be equal and treated the same.

Remember one thing..T GIRL And the like...one day you will stand in front of ALLAH ...In the day of the gudgement..And be asked why you de-humanized a fellow Muslim.
