The deletion by the Somalinet webmaster of Mr Sickperv's dense and polluting effluent can in no way be adjudged to be an abridgment of any of this loathsome creature's freedoms. Rather it is a careful and considered exercise of their discretion which allows them to emend or expunge any material that violates their standards of conduct or offends the community that is served by this vehicle. Note that Sickperv still has an absolute freedom to publish his views, perhaps by launching his own website. He is merely denied the unlimited ability to put any information he wishes on Somalinet. Somalia became the model of "progress and enlightenment". And where was the well-spring for these exotic ideas? Certainly not Somali culture. No, they were spawned in the west and were brought back to our land by arrogant young men who had studied their Marx and Gramsci in Italy or Marxism-Lenin in Moscow. Others came back from the US and the UK and all their hodgepodge ideas were thrown together and made into an unholy stew with Siyad Barre, glistening as always with low cunning, mixing the pot. When resistance was put up by the clergy, thirteen of them were summarily shot. Never before in Somalia history had such a horrifying act been perpetrated. From their it was all downhill. Although Somalia is fragmented along tribal lines, the fact remains that original fault was the delinking of tribalism and Somali politics. Today you have people whose thinking is animated by tribalism but do so without knowing the context in which this whole system of tribalism originally was practiced. The only context they know is one of conflict. They remain ignorant or oblivious to the other traditions of generosity, cooperation, hospitality, mutual trade and intermarriage. Now a new crop of western trained rationalists like these two sickos are coming up taking aim at the wounded, tottering figure of Mother Somalia. They are trying to finish off the work done by their predecessors. Now their prescriptions are to inject contemporary western mores and values into our already laid-up society that is trying to recover from the blows administered by the old boys. You can bet that our resistance this time will be much more forceful and energetic than before. The forces of decency will be taking the fight to the ambassadors of western filth. We have already seen the future and if the future that beckons is the moral desert that is the west, then we want no part of it. Our fallen country will once again rise up but there will be no place for the likes of you.
