Since Valentine's Day is approaching, I thought it would be just proper to bring up this highly controversial topic.
I would like to mention at the outset that I believe in love; however, I disagree that only one day out of the whole year should be set aside for this Lover's Day. As such, I propose that everyday be declared to be Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Valentine's Day.
Having said that, I would like to go back to the topic at hand and pose you the following question.
Does love really exist or is it just a fiction???
I would like to hear the views of both sides.
Let me start by stating my personal views about love. I, obviously, do believe in love. I also believe that the only way to experience it, is to really fall in love.
Of course, love is not always so rosy as some of you would like to believe. It could be sweeter than honey, but it could also be far bitter than aloe. Naturally, it takes two to make it work. A one-sided and an unreciprocated love is always very destructive to the lovesick. On the other hand, a two-sided love based on trust and mutual understanding is an addictive bliss that you'll never get enough of.
In brief, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all lovers out there a very deserved Happy Valentine's Day. Make sure it's Valentine all year around. |
