We all want to feel love and be loved, but even more, we want to be respected. Loving and respecting are two sides of the same coin.
How can we show respect for one another

Make one another a priority, above everything,
AS the wise one says 'A man and woman become
one flesh', but oftentimes, we do not respect that other part, we treat one another as if we are enemies, second to one another, and sometimes
without even realizing it.

Respect is putting one another first,
Respect is also shown in words as well as in actions.
'The tongue has the power of life and
death', Proverbs.
That means you can bring life or death
to each other just by words.

Tell each other how proud you are of one another,
say you are glad you are a Somalian,
through praise you can communicate your respect for one another, it makes you feel special.
Speak well of each other,
Honor each other from the heart,
you can show how much respect you have for each other. We must also be forgiving,I know it may be impossible to forget completely, but we must keep forgiving, over and over again.
Decide now to start respecting each other,
write a list of all the good qualities about each other,(such as Somali women is that Somali men is that...)
then tell each other about them.
without any insults or proudness, encourage each other to explore all that you are and all that you want to become.
I've heard a quote once;
'If you treat a men or women as they are, they will stay as they are,
but if you treat them as if they were what they ought to be and could be, they will become that bigger and better.'
Respect and Love go hand in hand, Love each other, but most of all respect each other,
then a new and exciting Somalian relationship with be right before you.

somali Women...so beautiful and smooth..
curvy and perfect,
like porcelain gold..

Standing there..
black dress flowing..
dark make-up enhancing..

An artist has yet,
to capture this beauty,
onto his canvas.

The way their breasts curve..
hips flare just the right way..
hair flowing like a midnight waterfall.

How anyone could lay,
a violent hand on them,
defys my reason.

With skin so fair,
and legs so long,
and so shapely.

All of them I have treated,
with the utmost respect,
but look...

This princess is turning..
is she walking away?
No..I must stop her..

Why is she walking away?!
why will she not answer me?
No no no!

Yet again I fall..
dark and alone..
no princess for me now.

Broken and hurt..
always..always..
please come back...

People are so different,
Each one that you meet;
All have various virtues,
Some are really neat.

Some are Kings and Princes,
While others queens and dukes;
Still some are simply human,
Others make you pewk.

This poem is about a princess,
Of beauty none can compare;
I've never seen this princess,
But yes I know she's there.

The beauty of her nature,
Flooding light in forests grand;
Her light is rich and radiant,
Could fall on any man.

It fell on me one evening,
The moments were far too short;
Her beauty filled my wretched heart,
With love and grace she talked.

Did ever a princess visit'
Was she truly real;
Was it my imagination;
My heart emotions feel.

Princess full of beauty'
You're daddy yes I'll be;
For princess you are lovely,
You own a part of me.

The lure of sex is never enough to overcome the law
that women are the child bearers and men the guffaw.

Try as men may to wage war and write poetry,
without women and children they live in poverty.

And the senseless slaying of dragons and beasts
pales next to the praying of midwives and sheikhs

for the health of a baby being born anew,
the joy of the mother in hearing it mew.

Men walk around with their pants ablaze
caught in their trap of a pleasure craze.

Never wanting the truth that love is the role,
that lust is useless once the child is whole.

And heaven is where women have no thirst
for swollen ankles and bellies that burst.

For holding their stomach to get through doorways
for ripping their clothes to fit trimester days.

For straining against the internal tremors
of dilation, contraction & physiological terrors.

Heaven is where men are impregnated
to have their passions and lusts sated.

And the best we can hope for and pray is the lie
that women are faking when they give out a cry.

While the men all roll over asleep and dead,
women keep secrets the world would dread.
