There is a group of single modern Somalians - women $ men being involved in this; hopefully fun and succesful, program. For the moment only two countries and relatively small number of people are involved. To expand the number of the members of the club, we decided first to take an opinion poll from the mass.Thereby, you all have the chance to comment about that courageous move. So, so far we have counted 5 persons supporting and 2 against the idea of SDC2000. We are very much grateful to those who supported the idea since we like it and it is working, to be honest. To those of you who don't like it, that is fine but please try to explain your reasonings. And to enlighten those of you who think we are braeching our religion or imitating other people; that is not true. First, the sole aim of this program is to create a safe environment where people who are in search of finding their destiny can peacefully cruise. This involves just talking/writing to most probably a person as decent as you are, and depending how you understand each other, you might find your dream partner. Povided you meet the fundamental courtesy that might be detailed for that program use, there are NO risk - whatsoever - for your RELIGION, SECURITY, PERSONALITY etc. Those of you who might be disappointed by not getting the membership grant still, we are very sorry to have delayed program until late November due to uncompleted terms. we are trying our best. | | Unrecorded Date salam by bros/sistahs I have one question particularly those people in charge of this program: 1. ask ur self is dating permissible in islam? p.s. i'm not here to offend anyone, and also i don't think it's neccessary to have this program cuz Allah the all mighty has already planned ur future so if it's written for u in ur book that u'll find ur soul mate than it will happened one way or the other, but for those poeple that are in a the opposite situation no matter how hard u try to find ur soul mate it will never be. little advice to all u guys: if u want to be truly happy and satisfied in ur marriage choose a person that is a good practicing muslim so that if ever comes a conflict btw u 2 that person will not go beyond his/her boundaries. i'm just giving u an example but there is more to this story that can will take forever for me to explain but i'm not up to it right now but insallah if u guys like to know more i'll be more than happy to give my views on this issue next time around. maca salam p.s. take care of ur loved ones and urself.

One may ask the purpose of this change: 1)simply the name seems offensive to some pple. 2)it implies Kufaar nimo, cuz within the name it suggests DATING. But u said in ur posting that pple will be writing to each other via email and take it further if they like each other. 3)therefore changing to something like, Match Making Club (MMC), Finding Friendship Club (FFC), Expandind Your Chances of Soul Mate Club (EUCOSMC Place To Meet Fellow Somalies (PTMFS) etc..... One may argue these titles r boring or not very attractive, but we also need to think about ways of not offending the few Somalies who do not completely agree with this idea. Also, this idea of urs seems harmless (as far as know now) and the title seem to imply otherwise. Please this is only my suggestions and do not feel i'm somehow taking over ur idea. One other most important thing i would like to ask is how r u (the organisors of the club) going to make sure or minimise the lies or corruption some pple may bring to these kind of places? Can u tell us bit more of how u r planning to moderate the club, or how exactly it will work? It looks like u have not given us enough information about the club, so please tell us more. R u all serious about this or is it going to be place where pple just make fun of others. THOSE OF YOU WHO CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF SDC2000, Did you forget the hadith of the prophet, "MAN SANNA SUNATAN SAYI'ATAN FALAHU WIZRUHAA WA WIZRU MAN CAMILAHA BIHAA" meaning that whoever initiates on something as evil will indeed have his/her share (sin) and the same sin as those doing afterwards. As you have initiated SDC200, not only your sins be counted towards your book by the angles of allah and the sins of those who does it will also be counted towards you untill the day of the judgement. As the quran says suratul Maidah "If anyone that spreads mischief in the land, is as if he mischiefed the whole people." Think again and think wisely, refer back to the religion you're claiming. Being a Muslim is getting submitted to Allah laws and orders. There is no argument among the Muslim scholars that dating is HARAAM and its do-ers end up in hellfire. I remind you one thing that you probably know, the son of our prophet and father ADAM was the first murder on the earth, his name was QAABIIL and he killed his brother, he'll be charged his crime and will take his share on all the homocides that happened after him. Can you image how he's getting charged on the killings which happened after his death till now, coz he has started. That's a good anology if you are truly believed Muslim. To those of you who support it. you are not the among the first that clap for the devil. I remind you one thing. The hellfire of JAHANAMA is circled with the SAHAWAAT (sweet things) that the soul loves and desires to get involved but if you control youself from those things, Allah will grant you a house in the pradise. On the other hand, JANAH is circled with MAKAARIH, things that the soul dislikes, hates, like getting up three in the morning and prying the night prayer, reporting the masaajids evey pray time. We have been carefully watching and considering your resposes/views; assimilating mostly those who have values to our nation in general and in particularly those make sense to our single society. Not surprisingly your views were diverse and opposing each other. However, some seemed to have missed the "question" that this tread is all about, while others misinterprated the word "DATING". For the latter guys, we used the word dating as its harmless and safe meaning; social engagement of opposite sex. Thus, we don't believe the word has any harm or commotion to the list that defines the individual being, which religion comes first. There have been streams of Slamic religion citations that some of you have used to insult the idea. We strongly believe it is outrages, prejudicial and that those claims are of no basis and out of target. For instance, brother Cawil described our action as evil - that is absolute prejudice. And the answer to that is - every muslim knows if you take part in the establishment of a halal mariage ALLAH (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will reward you for that - and basically that is true with our intentions. But if people choose to make sins while they are in the club network, it is up to them and it is between ALLAH and them. We are responsible and know what we are doing, and we are meant to reach equal and vivid single society - not those confused, contentious and uncertain of what is going on. SDC2000 recognizes very much those comments and questions that ask obout the nature of the club; its members, objectives, safety, and trust. To answer such essential questions, we realized that it is time saving to answer similar questions in a general mode, as we could, on this page. whilst we recommend individuals that demand individual answers to address their questions by e-mail. As the issue gets hoter and more controversial, the production of safe and adaptable club yet avoiding insipidity to have a successful club is critical and gets harder and harder. Although we have a sound of club system at the present, the implementation of a bigger club is not delayed only by the hardshipness of the production of above mentionsed clean club, but there exists also resource constraint. Therefore we hope it's percievable that we can't say much about a system that hasn't yet been released. This doesn't mean you cann't discuss about or have suggestions in the making of the club system and policy as we regard you as members. Although not an important question at this stage - ARE THERE SOME WHO HAVE PROBLEM WITH THE CLUB'S NAME, SDC2000? if, we're gonna vote for the best name. I'm strongly oppose it, not only for religious purpose but also for cultural matter. As somalis, we never knew or get involved in going out to clubs and having dates. It's obsolutely new thing to us and I am wondering how early we as Somalis got contaminated by the unbelievers' culuter and customs. In reality, it's sad for me to see my fellow Somalis voting for things that their religion condemns. Guys let's be honest to each other, Is this is Islamically right or wrong? We should look what exactly the religion that we claim says. Let's not be the donckeys that carry the gold and not know anything about it. I mean everyone sees and regards the issue from a different perspective or with a particular consideration but nobody has looked it up Islamically. There is no argument among Muslim scholars that DATING is haram and only leads to Haram. When I say that, I don't see any where in the Quraan and the Sunnah letting a man to have a relationship with non-mahrma women. There are many aayaat and ahaadeeth clearly indicate that it is haraam (forbidden) for men to have any kind of friendship or relationship with non-mahram women (women to whom they are not closely-related and to whom they could get married). The evil consequences and misery caused by such relationships are obvious to anyone who observes real life. As for anouncement, I have conveyed the messege and Allah will be the witness. My responsiblity was to say and tell it but I am only responsible for my soul. Yaa Alaah, ALAAHUMA HAL BALAQT ALAAHUMA FASHHAD. I ask Allaah to keep us far away from that which is forbidden, to protect us from all that may earn His wrath and to keep us safe from a painful punishment. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad. The program has become under an immense pressure, which increasingly became obstacles to its progression. Although the club is experiencing an apparent delays, there are no intentions of abandoning the idea, whatsoever.
