Like My sister Carawelo[from other writing]
i missed my country too.
All the warlords in somalia [including Cigaal]are enjoying the attentions they are getting from the outside world when it comes to make peace in somalia. They like to put up a show that would make them look like tough and strong, specially when they are interviewed by the BBC reporters ,whom,i think, are one of the main problems of somalia civil war. The warlords cannot make peace between them because, and i think they agreed not to make peace in somali. The business of becoming a warlord is profitable one. we watched from the CNN, that the late General Aidiid and Ali mahdi, hugging and kissing each other in 1992, Mogadishu conference, where the acting American Rep, Mr Oakley was present.
That hugging and kissing produced nothing for Somalia and the civil war continued. almost, 8 years later, list of the warlord names are growing. And new guys are in the race now, trying to show how important they can be in somalia's political arena. To be in Somalia political arena, or to get recognition as a full powered warlord, you have to kill as many people as you can [its not a laughing matter, its true]. Those who're new to the rank of being warlord are now in the meetings with other warlords to make peace in somalia. There are, however, others who're patiently waiting their term to become a warlord when that opportunity arises. And if the prerequisite of becoming a warlord is to kill, they will not hesitate because those who are the big shots[the famous warlords]did it before them. There are other areas where the competition of the warlord business is limited. Places like Hargeysa and Bosaso, where Cigaal and Col. Abdulaahi are running the show. those old sharks[Cigaal and Col.Abdullahi] successfully eliminated any amateurs who tried to sneaked in. The market of becoming a warlord is not good in above mentioned areas, but in the south everything is open for business. I also heard that some women groups are now trying to enter the fray[just joke]. When we're facing a situation like that in somalia, how can we unite a nation where every enclave[ region] is claiming to be a nation, somaliland, jubbaland, puntiland, mogadishu land, Rahanweyn land,[ i create some of the names for the sake of the argument]?
Many of those warlords are at the age where they should be in retirement homes and their mental status is not good, obviouly, some needs medical attention. they also need to rest. their time limit of life is nearing and they need to get close to their God and ask some forgiveness for their past sins. But they chose to stay on as long as they can last. The old dinosaurs of somali politics and new ones are trying to hold somali a hostage. so my questions to you[the reader] are.
should we let them keep our great nation a hostage or we should rescue our nation from them?
either way, how?
what will be our common denominator?
How can we learn to trust each other to win the fight to free our nation?
Salute..... and Eid Mubarrak.

Ramadaan wacan everyone:

This Yohanis guy is an ethopian/christian who was raised in Somalia. Please ignore his articles.

If you need evidence, please read the other discussion under women's corner, in which he is asking Somali christians to contact him.

I chatted with him in 1988 on somalia online (that place is deserted now) and I can assure you that he is not Somali. He enjoys creating hatred among Somalis.

Mr. Yohanis, nick-name-kan waa kaa qarxee mid kale la imoow. Midda kale nimanka aad kor ku sheegtay kuli waa Soomali wax kaa galay danaha soomaaliya aana isk yar ee hadaa talo hesid u gee sanaawi who is standing on a melting ice.

Only Yohanis can congrtulate himself! He is very adept at blowing his own trumpet! Funny isn't it how this guy changes user-name and congratulates the RUBISH he posts here! What a sick person he is!

By the way, where/when did he solicite the opinion of educated Somalis?

I've seen him elsewhere in this forums, he applauds himself as a Somali Lady (Sacdiyo!!!!!)and saying "I love Yohanis....blah...blah..."

Please get a life Mr Sick Ethiopian. You don't posses one tenth of the intelligence of an ordinary Somali....but....If you are dying to have dialogue with Somalis, then you are welcome on the condition that the topic under discussion be ETHIOPIA and ETHIOPIAN problems!

I dare Yohanis to respond to this message.

Thanks.

hey yohanis you ideas are not bad of reuniting somalia , but one thing is for sure the only people that will fix somalia are its sons, the somalipeople as a whole , not one arogant ethiopian telling us how we should or what we should do to run and unite our nation. i myself was born and raised in ethiopia but full blooded somal , i mean hard core somali, the people that fought ethiopia in 1977 ,"you know who we are"the people that make you seek refugee in somalia.we didnot forget the past, what your people did to us. we still carry the scars of what ethiopia has done to our people in general living in parts of somali region,"but claimed by ethiopia," the question at stake here is whether ethiopia give our land back or we take it by ourselves??? using any means necessary. that should be the kind of topic you should talk about yohanis..we will reunite the rest i mean trust me we will reunite not just the southe and north, i am talking about the five star, north and south, djibouti, eastern ethiopia ogaden, (hey by the way i am not ogaden) and the part of somali occupied by keneya will be under one nation and religion, insha allah and this is my dream.dont think this is absurd because i am only 21 and educated so i will see that day come.it might take us some time and resorces ,but we will make sure that happens. it also takes our involvement for this to happen and all the other fellow somali brothers and sisters. so what i am saying to you is bug out habash and don't you ever come back here you heard booooooy .you know you can even send me on my private email if you like and need further education as a matter fact here iit is razak17@hotmail.com feel free.

for the somali brothers and sister please think about this issue real carefully , i mean imagine what it will be like if we had the five parts reunited, we be like the united states of somalia and we are the future of afirca belive that .peace i am out here for now.
i will welcome any comments or critiques so email me in the address that i provided above.

Rezak:
An emotional guy:
keep that Emotions to yourself. if you think that somalians can do any good for our country they should have done it a long time ago. Before they even killed many innocent somali people your argument would have some points. The only option that is left for the people like you, is to support one of the warlords. And if you don't have one warlord to support join one of the Islamic groups that operates in Somalia. You might fit in them. And "al itixaad" will be the perfect group for you.

Fellow Somalians,
To accuse someone of hypocrisy while you practise it, is indeed the peak of hypocrisy itself.
Your pejorative comments will come back to huant you, because what ever he did regardless of his history, Yohanis only stated the blight of Somalia. As I was reading your comments it dawned on me that the state of our nation is in dire state, one that needs attention.
And to Yohanis what ever you nationality is, bear in mind, what we are going thru has been passed by every nation that is proud and powerfull today. Remember Somalia is the only country that brought Ethiopai to it's knees before the intervention of their fellow Christain Orthodox brothers from Soveit Empire and The "calooshood u shaqestayaasha" of Cuba. Siyad barre almost knocked the door of Mingestu's private resident before his rear was saved by the evil Empire from Russia.
Frankly Somalia is the only country that can claim to have seen the light in Africa.
Somalia adpoted democrasy while most of Africa was languishing in the might of Military dictatorship, or phony acceint Kingdoms like Ethiopia, I hope the fact doesn't hurt because sadly Ethiopia have just experinced some sort of democracy though that democracy is qeustionable, it is waging war against their neighbour as the regime of Minguiste did, but the point is it took Ethoipia the better part of a century to see some kind of democracy while Somalia was electing it's government way back in the 60's. But as in every fairy tale it passes a sad peroid and evetually ends in victory. Somalia is passing that peroid but the minute the tables turn and we go back to our roots and begin where we started before the the Military rule, Ethoipains as history has shown will appear in our borders looking for sanctuary and a helping hand. A good example is your own President Meliz Zanaawi who bit the very hand that fed him. He attacked the country that gave him his base to wage war against Minguiste, it is widely documented how he admitted the usage of a Somalian passport for his travels, and as a typical Kuffaar he attacked those same people who helped him in his hour of need. So Yohanis I ask this, be man enough to admit you nationality, don't hide under a smoke screen. If you are one of those Ethoipians that we helped when they came to our country as refuggees then say so, because we are well known for our hospitality and we will welcome you with open hands as we did when you wearing those "waterproof" slippers and the two garments which have seen better days. We welcome you then and we will come you now. Show your gratitude and appreciation don't be like your President who begged like a kitten and bit like a heyna.
Brother if you are not all that I mention above then your comments as a decent Somalia are welcomed, becasue this country has reached heights that no any other country in Africa can even dream of let alone acuire. And Iinsha-Allah the days of glory are not far.

For a while, i haven't seen some fair comments like your's today. Having said that, i do enjoy
debating Somalian Political affairs with other like you.
To answer some of your questions, i think i've stated many times that i'm 100% somali but i was born in
Ethiopia and we'd left Ethiopia when i was 6 months old. So there is not much nationality to
claim expect my birth rights. thanks again for that fair comments and your undertanding to the
subject in hand.

OR should I take the initiative?

I believe "IF" Somalia becomes normal again that is if. It will go back to being the same old country where war begun in 1990. That will happen because our people don't know how to relate with each other. They need therpy to help them solve there problems, and we need a leader for our country who is fair, loyal, honest, and honest. Because honesty is what holds other countrys together. If any one who reads this doesn't agree with me then tell us what we should all agree on.
peace out
