Unrecorded Date Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam I am Student and My knowledge is very limted. As college Students, who is studying to become a Doctor. My question is, what Does Islam say about donating blood and organs? ex. kidneys, liver, arms, or even donate your hold body to medical school I as a per-med student, I have already worked with dead orangs, (like the heart) without people donating there organs, a lot of people would be dead. Because Doctors would not be abled to cure diseas. I love to learn about Islam. so please feel free to teach ME...... "THEIR IS NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB QUESTION" Peace

Wednesday, June 28, 2000 - 11:30 am Knowledge: Islam supports any medical procedure that benefits and does not cause harm. So when a dead person's organs are used as a "transplant"- that is acceptable. Because a life is saved and no harm is caused. I hope I have answered your question.
