I have been to many places in this world and i have realized that no one get ashamed from expressing his own cast and tribe while on the otherhand somalis make it as a big deal?!!!!If u ask any somalian about his cast or tribe will think u r mad and tribalest,I feel its cool and there will be no hate or tourtue by asking it,Its simple its clear :))))So my idea is why dont we add eachone cast on his passport and ID ?!!!!

Antonio it doesn't necessarily mean that people thing you're a tribalist if you ask for their tribe, it's just that so much happened within Somalis that many of us want to get rid of the tribal system. Now it is good to use your tribe as an identity but will that be the only thing most of us will use it for if we decided to use it as our surnames? |

so..ah..if ya lived among cast divided Oppressed Humans, ya need to get some freedom or come and sweep my House Entry, coz I know for sure ya lower dan my cast.

Antonio you hit the nail on the head. Somalia's problem is not tribalism but hypocrisy. Every Somali you meet will decry tribes and tribalism and encourage every one to get beyond that anachronistic institution. But in the privacy of their own homes when out of earshot of those not of their kin, they do nothing but plot the destruction of one tribe or the other and generally speak ill of those not of their own. Why not bring everything out into the open. Don't call your parties, USC, USP, SNM, SRC, SEW, SONG, SING, SELF, SWAN etc. Call them by tribal names. Readily identify yourself with your tribe. Bring it into the sunlight because it will get rid of the mold and mildew of tribalism that has been languishing in the dark attic of our mentality. |

U just showed up same old behaviour of narrow minded somalis by abasing my own tribe which has nothing to do with this discussion room:)I was trying just to express my own thoughts and opinion and i know that fingers aint same ya...I might be wrong or i might be quite close to truth
,I believe that mens are worthed by thier job and efforts not by their tribe but at the same time we have to rem that eachone in this world born from a family and his family efforts had either uplifted or downwarded thier own reputations.....
Im not denying or feeling shame of my own tribe and i aint arrogant or feeling superior,i born from tribe called OGADEN and i believe we all r brothers&sisters....As God says in his Holy Quraan
(We created u from different nations and tribes to get closer....Meaning)....
Just rem never insult someone tribe coz no one is higher or lower level than others....Thanx
