I strongly advocate that women should stay virgin until marriage. Of course, one of the most obvious reason is that Islam doesn’t allow it. Secondly, men come in different shapes and sizes. Not all men have the same size of genitals or private parts. Some have long sticks whereas others have short sticks and so forth. However, women can handle any kind of stick whether it's big, small, robust, etc. Indeed the female hymen so elastic that it can accommodate any shape or size. Consequently, I’m of the opinion that for the sake of religion as well as sexual pleasure women should stay chaste till marriage. We shouldn’t be misled by the deviant views of the Westerners where premarital sex is normal. It isn’t and Somali women should stop following their footsteps or else they won’t find a nice husband. After all, for the Creator we’re all equal and if you fornicate before marriage, you’ll end up marrying someone who is also a fornicator.
I hope we’ll have a very healthy and open discussion on this subject which in my opinion is dragging us far away from the straight path.

I don't disagree. However, I don't think that people should be chastized or viewed as lesser humans if they choose to have sex before marriage. That's a personal decision and really is between the individuals involved and God.
Lastly, there's another very good reason woman should seriously consider abstaining. HIV. Particularly Somali woman who have been circumsized as this proocedure leaves a woman very vulnerable to contracting HIV when she initially has intercourse. Thus whether the partner is your husband or not caution is a good watchword here and speaks well for the maintenance of one partner as outlined in the Qur'an. |
