     | Unrecorded Date Salaam Caleykum Somalis. My name is Ayan ,20 years of age and i live in Canada. I love to do what our "Allah" told us to do . My Problem is kind of hard and i wanted u my somali sisters and brothers out there in the world to help me out as the best way u can. I pray and fear from "Allah", and i don't do what other people at my age do most of the time who live in my city eg: i don't wear short sexxy cloths that shows my body , i don't drink, i don't do drugs, i don't go to clubs etc... My family raised me very well and i love them to death and i have a lot of respect for them more then u people could ever imigin. My family r the typical somali family , we r not "wadaad" so therefore they didn't bush me to pray when i was young, but they all pray. My older sister tells me to pray all the time and fear from "Allah" cuz she made me understand that someday sooner or later , we will leave this world and face "Allah" with our goods and bads . my Family give me freedom to do what is right for me and to obay God. Even thought i am adult enough to understand and have more knowledge for the Qur'aan , i still feel like there is something missing from me. MY problem is that when i start praying , after a while i stop and not pray for couple of months sometimes. I don't know the reason but i want to stop that and pray daily like the rest of muslims in this world . I know the "salaad" is one of the ways to get closer to "Allah" but i want to know how could i start praying and not able to stop and keep it up for the rest of my life. The times that i pray, i am really happy and everything goes well for me "alxamdulilaah" but when i stop, i have all these problems. I worry a lot and somenights i have nightmares too. I say "a cuudibilaah Mina sheydaani Rajeem Bismilaahi Rahmini Raheem" from the {sheydaan} cuz IT's the one who is keeping away from me to pray . The other thing is that i keep my self active and not let the "lazyness" come to my mind and body. Is there any other reasons that is keeping me not to pray that i don't know of? Please let me know because Your Advice really mean a lot to me , i would appreciate it if u somali brothers and sisters tell me How can i face that situation of reality in a very respobsible way. | | Unrecorded Date Sister Ayan, Salaamu-Aleykum?,Its good sis to know that u have the intention,For every actions starts with the (Niya)intention to execute it.We Know of a few Ahadith which can may be motivate you or encourage you in the way of salaat,You might already know them but the idea is to contemplate, Think them over and over again untill your day comes. (1) O you who believe do not die unless in the state of Islam. (2)The diffrence between a muslim and kafir is Salaat. N.B Now sis lets just ponder on this two statements the first your being asked not to be caugt by death while out of Islam,And the next tells you when you are a muslim and when your not. Now faith is supposed to make sense and appeal to the person,Like you said when you don't pray then things go wrong "It states in the quran that those whostray will surely loose". The world is a testing ground and our performance will be evaluated in the end by Allah,He says be just and have patience.The focal point of our faith is in practising it,We have the Qura'an and the sunaa as manuals of this life and if we fail or deviate the consequances are punishment.I hope that you can do a lot of reading and thinking as thats the only key of strengthening our Iman and pray for understanding and comprehenssion.With that i hope Allah gives us all the strength to live and die as Muslims.Wa-Asalaamu-Aleikum. My friends r very nice,sweet and very respecful friends. My point that i want to make u clear is that, when the {yoomil qiyaama} aduun kadoomga imaado, God will ask me everything i have done , good or bad. My excuse will not be { my friends told me not to pray} even tough they didn't say that to me so i would be lying in other case if i say that . i am the one who willl deal with god , and god wil punish me for my mistakes that i have done in the world and also for not praying if i don't.. and God will not punish my friends for my mistakes. Aniga waaye qofta danbiga ilaahey ka gashey . I hope u understand my point. HEBLAAYO...Thanx for sharing ur story with me sis but u know what is so silly? i don't miss my favourite show on Tv as i miss the slaat. But the quetion sis is that how r we going to prevent this problem as Suldaan said and i agree with him ...he said that this world is journy for us and to prepare Allahul_Akbar u know what i mean.
