| | Sunday, June 18, 2000 - 07:20 pm To Hibo, your message seems good one.However;our Somali people in North America are still weak and have not made any commitment in-order to build a strong communities that would educate our own people interms of maintaining our own culture. As long as some somali people divided clans, it's realy difficulty to create a strong communities who would maitain the somali cuture. For example,Lebanes, Jamaicans, Ethiopians and Chines communities are strong and getting a lot of funds from the Federal and local goverments. Why can't we stick together same as the above mentioned communites, instead of creating many somal communities. We should have a "one strong somali communities one nation". I beleived that we need to educate our somali people especially elderly then young generation interms of respecting and maintaining our own culture. It does't suprised me or having heard that a young somali girl who's age is 10 years old with pregnant or 14 years old boy with cell phone and selling drugs on the streets. Imagine, this is the image that we have in North America especially Canada and USA.Where are the somal's?. Hi somal's, don't waite a wake-up call from other communities or goverments do some things in-order to save and protect our young children and build a strong community. If you cann't help leastly what you could do is IS TO PRAY for her!! Hibo, You go girl, There is no one who is coming to rescue them if we don't help our self, so do what you think you could do it. try to figure out if there are other forces working in the field which you could get help or even work with them. Lastly but not leastly try to organize them eitherin student organisation alike or youth organisation. I live far away from USA so I can only pray for you.

You failed to distinguish between what is science and what is an idealogy. Pure science is independent from the scientist as well as time and space factors, regardless who carried out, if you put together O + 2H = H20=> Water!! WHat about the different interpertation of behaivioural of humans and societies at large? One's interpertation has something to do what he believes, his environment as well as how he see the world. Back to topic, youth has especial place in Islam which we should trace back right from first days of islam. Who they were first believers who entered the islam? what about the supporters and frontline worriers!!! History could witness youth's place in societies, they are dynamic and backbone of every society!! you called 17 year!!! Identity crisis period?? may be you in your 40 y "middle age" crises?? why not this is what europeans called it. She is 17 years, not mature enough to distinguish right from the wrong? I was 17 year when I took my postion to lead the people as !!Imam!! in Jum'a, tarawih, EID, and all daily prayer times. Mr Ali-aqoonyahan, where were you at this age? In the middle of identity crisis?? Needless to say, she is much better and could contribute lot than many of you could do it,so don't under estimate her.

I guess I classified difference between what is science and what Europeans claims to be a science??? Science is what you can prove expermentally which is at same time independent from the scientist !!! After the decline of Islamic world,,subject continue to develop its way by europians, so again we need Islamization of the subject one more time before we rely on it.!!! I mean the once in western countries like Sweden, U.K., Dk, Holland, Australia & etc. i'm not sure what we can do but i'm 100% sure that we can ask Allah to direct them to the right path and make them realise their mistakes. Is not teens who are lost there are some olders who are in same way as teens so what can i say "gaalo dhaqankeeda ayaa ilbaxnimo ayaa la moday" secondly to be honest my heart goes out for those who are absolutely lost I’m not sure if this idea would help or not, cuz a person who has no respect what so ever to those who were carrying 9 month and raised them 4 many years. Do u thing they will respect some1 else or give an attention to ya? . These kids need a very good “tarbiyo” from their prance although now is 2 late. 1. How about if we make a youth community through the net & later on we can establish it wherever we are. 2. Or somalinet could open a section that all teens could come and read what their older sis & bro Somali wrote, they can also ask q’s. So it can be a learning and helping section.
