what is the point of chewing jaad?... this is the question that is circulating everyone is head.. specially somali girls don't understand it because they don't understand why?... jaad is a drugs; if you chew jaad then it will become your partner.. and it has no benefit at all; it will destroy you in terms of: financially, socially, educationally, time, family etc. basically, it will destroy your life forever.... I used to to chew jaad and it was every thing to me, it was my wife... I wanted to stop but it was hard and I couldn't.. but finally I stop because my willings, i was detemine to stop it because I wanted to have a life... I wanted to have a family and get my degree... so my advice to any chewer is stop it because there is no point; you are just killing your self and love ones.... I also want the somali girls to understand the problem and try to help their man to quit jaad.. I am not married but I am sure if you talk to your husband or boyfriend properly and explain how it affects you then he will listern; try communicate with him properly and express yourself effectively... I think somali men should give up chewing because this is killing our society... it is time to treat our woman right and take some responsibility.... we need to educate ourself... basically somali society is suffering because us (men)....

To: ASIYAH!!!

Thanks sister for your comments.. This is a problem which we need to understand and evaluate, so we can cure the disease... I started chewing when I was 16 yrs old; I stared chewing because all my friends were chewing.. Lot of people will ask the question why chew jaad in the first place?, why start?.. I started chewing because I was ignorance and naive. and it is a mistake I made which I regret... I think we have this problem because we don't educate our childrent in a early age... we don't know how to educate our childrent, I mean there are some good parent but mojority of us have this problem of not knwoning how to educate our childrent... childrent need a role model and if their father is chewing then that is their role model.. and at end of the day they will do the same... we need to do someting and be counted.. our sister are suffering because of us... we need to educate our selves and our sister because our sister's are the fundation of our society... Malcolm X said "To educate a man is to educate an individual but educate a woman is to educate and liberate a nation"... therefore it is important to educate our woman's, so they can educate our childrent.... action is what we need!!

Who said only men chew??
Wake up guys there is a growing number of
women who enjoy chewing.
Back to the subject...
Omar who had a great experience i'm sure
chewing is not useless in many ways
One of them is that you realised how bad/good is jad. In a way jad opened your eyes you are quite fortunate to realise in a very early stage the negative side of chewing.
I was a master in the Art of chewing I even had my mafrash...basicaly I was a dealer I
mean reteller (joke) and like you said I loved every moment of it....Traveling in
MIRGAN LAND is amazing.
None of my familly,friends, girlfriends
belived that one day Ali will stop chewing.
It been 3 years now since I stop chewing
and honestly my live changed for the better.
I have such a strong feeling about the subject that writing about it is not satisfactory. I need the adresse of Jad Chewer Anonymous so I can talk talk talk.
Sometimes we need to make the serious look
ridiculous.

Peace
